Mike talks about Andre Reed and buyer's remorse

    jake scott found at 12:28

discovered pretty early on in the process of collecting MVPs. Is that Jake Scott . Who was the MVP of Super Bowl 74. Miami he is not an especially. -- difficult signature. I was told the beginning that he was he didn't do very many shows but guess there's there's. And a thought that he isn't as much around the Miami reunions in the does 72 Dalton. Type stuff that -- out there that he may be more difficult on that front but it seems to -- Jake Scott . Does plenty of shows. And that's all you need for -- these retired guys. Is for them to do card shows and then. Their autographs obviously with that are out there another possible misconception. Is that the old guys are tougher. I was asked recently about my collection and and I was asked will you seem to have all the old guys but not so much newer guys and that's that's exactly right. The newer guys who were still playing the Manning's Brady Aaron Rodgers . These guys don't to as many shows. And if if they do wedding. And done with that their autographs or tougher usually

Hi everybody good morning it is Saturday January 14 I'm Mike show this is the hobby on WGR. I'm glad to have some baseball news two to play away. Here don't mean this this hour a insure anybody. Here up top knows. This exists so I'm pretty sure I could contrive a baseball topic by cared to and I might have when it gets cold. And across past you know the beloved bowl season. I get I get ready I'm ready for baseball February 19 for pitchers and catchers met you collar the producer of the show lined up. A professional baseball pitcher for today's show and a car collector a guy Matt knows about through a mutual friend. His name is Ryan to going pitches for Syracuse in the Washington organization. And the way I'm told is what I'm told is that he is a collector and also is someone that. Likes to try to get other people into it and that's all I that was one of the reasons for doing this a few years ago was to hopefully. And convince people that I know and mostly people but I don't just happen to be the station that collecting is still very much alive and and well. It's different than it used to be and I've. You know I think I've illustrated that almost every week through a phone call or some other thing. That I've been here since I labor day of 2008. Was our first our first show of the hobby but one thing I saw this week that was really exciting and also baffling to me. And I I'd encourage anybody who. Is in the collecting all the I don't most of our callers are are not people who. Are avid collectors now it's it may be half as around with that but people who collected along time ago wanna know what to do with things either way I would love to talk to. From people might it might have noticed this and have an opinion about it I'd be very curious to hear what you have to say. If if you track sales of cards. And you happen to track sales of the Michael Jordan. 1986. We your rookie one of the biggest cards. Of last. I don't know forty years mean certainly one of the biggest if not the biggest of the 1980s Jordan rookie. In a grade of PSA eight which common sense scale of one to 108 close to but not quite That card has sold for around 600 dollars. And I I looked up sales of this card that sold on eBay and auctions. And I happen to actually I bought two but I didn't mean to buy two which is. Happened and I sold one quickly away so say I've bought one of these cards either way it was around 600 dollars that I spent. And is something that I had thought about buying for a long time and I've I've had just sold some things I had the money needed to play with. And I bought the Jordan Carter and felt good about it all the other people like I've talked to the collect like the idea that card and why why wouldn't you. As an investment I mean it's an iconic. Sports card from the eighties and what I've noticed in the last. Two or three weeks. Is that sales of that card have shot up. It's all about 45%. In a month. And that's not just because one or two cards sold for 700 or slower 800 dollars but about a dozen of them. Mostly if not all of them on eBay. And that is a big jump for a card that I don't know it's a big card but why would that happen now. Any ideas I I don't really know are are the Charlotte Bobcats good or something. I'm kidding me that doesn't even matter. Com. What are these PSA eight Jordan sold for 999 dollars that's about a 625 dollar card that shot up like that. In in like no time at all. So. I I see something like this aren't eager to mention it because. The hobby. It's kinda like I don't need this it's like buffalo though and certain ways you know it it's a lot of a lot of a lot about the past. And how it used to be and with with collecting. As. Sure a lot of you know. Up until the mid eighties. Well in the mid eighties in the late eighties mass production started. And everybody got wind of the the notion that you could get rich through baseball cards and in turn started buying them. So pretty much by 19911992. Everybody had everything. And what happens in you know what happens in the economy to it is something. Like that it just the the bottom falls out and that's what we know that's what explains. A very simple level why. Cards from those years are all but worthless not all of the Marta got an example for you today as well. Of what kinds of cards aren't which I think might Tom be useful to many of but. We know that late eighties or early ninety's you know you've got almost nothing there. But prior to that there's still a lot of lot of money and a lot certainly. And a lot of fun to have and I think this card which is not an old card for this 1986. For a jump like that that I myself really can't explain. I'd love to tell you about it because what it what it. Also says among other things may be about Jordan or whatever. That collecting is still alive and well. And and people are throwing money like that at at at a card like this. And what what I also has happened from from this surge in the sales of Mac card is that now. You see people who do pay close attention to what things are selling for. You know dealers probably that have this card immediately go listing them on eBay for 800. Or 850 or 900 dollars because they've noticed that discard a shot up and I think that obviously they think that you'll you'll jump on that but you never knew your smarter than that. And I would think come they'll just end up sitting these cars sitting on eBay like a lot of stuff does. Without without being sold. 8030550. Is the phone number if you have a comment on that everything else related to collecting the Michael Jordan rookie has taken a big jump. A friend of mine told me that the Gretzky rookie also has I haven't noticed that and I didn't see that. And on a website that I used it to track prices I didn't see a jump in the in the Gretzky but maybe it happened a little bit earlier. Maybe you've noticed that yourself the Gretzky rookie is is a hole in my collection for sure I've never had a really nice one. Tops peachy peachy is a much bigger card than the tops card if ever. You become upon somebody who's got both. Audio PG cart is is much more words that. Lines are open for if you wanna chat I have a guest as mentioned coming up in the middle to show for a natural mention the time but. That the pitcher right to telescope beyond in the in the second segment today at around 83825. Every thirty. I I alluded to. A card from the dark days of collecting the the early ninety's that Tom has some value in this might be interesting to you. Because many many people. You have have these collections these big amounts of cards from those years and they always wanna know what to do with them. And I give them the quick bad news which is. It is very little value in it and you you probably. And you probably could do well to donate them or give them to have a youngster who might like that really not a lot of money to be made. One. Exception to that is if you have a rookie card of hall of Famer that's perfect. Bad grammar all famers and perfect the hardest. If if you have a perfect. Example. Of hall of Famer 1989199091. You know those years. You still have you have a little bit of money there now here's the trick though. To to considerate perfect. You probably need the degrade on it which means sending in a card that otherwise. You know might be worth fifty cents if that. You know spending five to ten dollars on getting a grade for that and then hoping that you get a ten. And you end up turning that into I don't know thirty boxer so the example and thinking of which I should have told you first. Is a pro set football card of John It might be 1990 I don't even know which right around there. And this John rainbow card was selling on eBay. The auction was over and I sought for 47 dollars in PSA ten. Now those pros sent cards are everywhere. But the the tough part with a great in mind is that the corners are colored. They're not port in the corners I'm sorry the borders the edges. They're not white. Bordered cards and white border cards are going to be in better condition generally. Then ones with you know that are different colors because the the caller can chip. So you have orange and purple on these different colors of those pro stick cars getting a PSA ten is no sure thing. Because of this this chipping the can happen and of course always other factors like corners and and so on so this John card was selling pretty well now what do you do if you've got a lot of these cards from those years I don't know maybe you seldom. To somebody who wants to take that chance for you and you know the they get the rewards in that case. But. That I just wanted to pass along that there is the potential. That certain cards from those years. Will do well and you know there are going to be hall of famers in in those years Brett Favre is from. From those years and I think maybe what does it action packed or some. That's and sharp what's the Favre. Rookie and who my asking what they're they're all kinds of different variations in my mind disputes modeled by all of them but you've got. And that and Randall McDaniel is another one. Marshall fall. It is another one of these guys are all from those years in the role in the football in their baseball guys to. And you know if you find those cards in great. Perfect condition than you might have something otherwise you know you you still don't unfortunately. Paul has called an and is on WGR Paul. I don't today. Yeah I got a brother mine east large collector I kinda got into it over the last few years what have. Happen here it always is my brother goal and searching grabbed and dub I think. Keep it not a ball thirty Michael Jordan. You know rookie. Cards and like that industry artificially inflate to. Also guided sit not a bunch of bombs those other people that are not a bunch of them keep Michael by its lack three like you said 950. Dollars. It artificially inflate itself. The next thing you know the industry standard that night. So it's really just a few people manipulating at all. Not being in the stock market interest and yeah I guess that makes sense. I hadn't thought that there were people with them much to be able to do that but if it's if it's ten or twelve Jordan's these are all being traded among the same people you're suggesting. Or like it'll play a vibrant I've 1516. And I got a chance that you grabbed three more those. And you know I mean all the nice goal and 3950 am talking to a dealer down in Denver. He should not oblige all the side we've manipulated the market. The sixteen that I had a fifteen and I had previous combined might lack streak at an artificially inflated inflated price. I'm get you know I'm getting the goods on fifteen an ready. makes cents or races in your brother has about thirty of them. Dirty regret that bad. Yet. The thing right and don't do I don't put the Wayne Gretzky rookie card to might spoke to when I was when abdicated on my fight I wish I didn't. Yeah I guess. Yeah I think the thing about that Jordan sat Paul is that it's those that your recent set. There's plenty of it out there but you know a lot of people didn't take basketball cards seriously at the time they did the or years were they weren't made. And so I think I think with that that the leaders that a lot of it's hidden in a few people's hands. Fluid you know that may actually think it occurred. Just just one more point this is gonna sound really trade your listeners but my Brothers already starting to grab cricket cards. From Pakistan and you see emerging populations come and into North America. From Pakistan from India. You watch it's gonna sound absurd but in one year cricket cards will be huge big and I like it you have you know thinking thinking about that the distribution among the population ethnically. did are you to thank you Paul. Soccer cricket. Well that is that's a long term vision right there I I think the Jordan point he makes you might be right. Don't just assume it's right it's not my nature to do that but I think makes sense. And I have not figured out any other better explanation for there there are there are enough people who have. Enough of those cards. That can the and they can make that kind of difference. In the prices. Interest in our 8030550. Is the number that's. To some places up for the time being is an explanation for that. Last night after the hockey game. I was just flipping around figure to be awake for another little while so I as I often do I go right to MLB network what are they doing. And at 10 o'clock last night for another half an hour was one of there twenty greatest games shows Bob Costas to number Gucci they're on them. And it was about the Kirk Gibson game. Dodgers and days and Gibson was the only guest player who was on and he was you know just. He was somewhere else like maybe with Diamondbacks or something they were interviewing him electronically. And playing. You know the ninth inning of that game talking to give senate caught a just right just the right time. Talking to him that he was talking about his day you know he woke up that morning in 1988. How we felt bad how bad he felt physically. How sure he was he wouldn't play you know Sat in the clubhouse through that game game one of the 88 World Series Dodgers a news. Listening to Vin Scully and NBC. Repeatedly say how Gibson was on available that night and Gibson. Said Howard started to burn him he is started to get mad listening to that and even though he knew he was in no shape to do it physically. He started to get warm up to the idea. Of of getting in the in the game pinch hitting at some point. So he was talking about that and Gibson I was never as a kid a Gibson fan but. Men now listening to him talk and him and tell that that story that day. He could not agree with what I like about sports any more than he does it was it was great. Watching him relive that day and he said something that. After I thought about it I I decided it was my favorite tree in an athlete. They're showing. Gibson home to bat. For that in 1988 and he's talking about. The experience. And he says that you know a lot of people ask me if I was nervous or just what I was feeling at this moment walking up to the plate. That night and and Gibson went on to say I was nervous I was so excited there's just nothing better. Then being in this this spot it's what you live for. We also thinking like what what does the guy say who did feel that way but struck out. In in that kind of a situation and how it later in life he comes to think about the the pressure of all that I wonder if it would be different but I. I shouldn't even said that that's not that's not my point the focus is on. What Gibson set about pressure he just said there's no there's no being nervous. This is what this is why you do it. There's this clip I think about NFL films from a long time ago ourselves and this is why we run all those laps. And I just I just loved it I think one thing about athletes that just is so. Awesome. Is how they in pressure like that respond to when they respond to a well and I think. For me and all I AM and I think a lot of fans are the same way this is something that sets them apart from us because. Most of us would get really nervous and not be able to function as highly as we need to. But athletes who don't and look at it that way I think that's beautiful I think that the it's it's one of the few common traits maybe not it's a common trait that the greats have. Is that they they love the pressure I think they really do I don't think it's phony I think you know they they have a it on attitude about it and Gibson. Came across that way to me and I just I just loved him for it. I decided that's my single favorite tree in an athlete is to hear that that kind of things said. And by the way his on his since this is his rookie cars are super cheap not a hall of Famer Bob what a great place in baseball history he has. 1981. Tops with a little hats. There's a Gibson cards get a jacket on the tigers and super cheap caution offering. All right. Ryan to telescope coming up a pitcher for the Washington Nationals and their organization. Was with Syracuse. Last year AAA card collector will talk to him all talked about a few things. What it's like to be a collector and a ball player at the same time they'll be plenty of time to for calls for your opinions or questions 8030550. Is the number I might show opened this is hobby on WGR. OK here is Ryan to telescope the morning Ryan nice to talk to you have my name's Mike show. Are good morning drab and you're welcome where were you these days I am. I am on the back end of it doesn't get out our driver and now Miami this in Indiana which arm problem right out side you know. We're just a sightseeing trip I know I'm my girlfriend parents live data is good so I'll while Iowa is kind of shut it down after planting a bomb and We're visiting her apparent now that I'm going to start ramping up my off season training or. During training arm and back to Indianapolis to train now with the pitching coach in America where where. Okay clear in the the nationals organization and just becoming. Familiar with you this week since Matthew got in touch with you about coming on here while Venezuela what was that like. It will a lot of fun you know it really. Prepared me you know middle and I can expect open this year I get a chance in the big you know it. And just. And you know extreme and there are so many people well it can mean weird aren't 2030000. People are you know on some night and cheering him into it there's trillion make between eight European soccer matches that. And a good college football rivalry and that was just. The band Mercury hit band were intent and the coaches the players you know. top notch I was able to play. Look such names you know are pretty good cockroach and brawn no I got. Henry go. And Carlos Gonzales so I mean you know Derek and there are a lot of big games down their Israeli and let. Very nice for you well of course the reason we're in touch with the used to talk about your collecting it says on Twitter for people who want to follow Ryan. Ryan to telescope of course would be that the handle there it says aspiring baseball card. Autograph collector how how did you what what what got you started. Congress started literally my dead you know it it was the thing that kinda bonded him and I totally I totally yeah you know Monty discussion or nearly 2% should say to Becky you know from Earth Day and of course immediately I would bet there are room in you know looked at baseball cards is that gone up and iron got about you know I baseball players and every. Every couple monsters so my dad let me Italian baseball show that would be around the be about it. Our guys I'm you know when I was younger we go to the card does look around we we couldn't afford it. Maybe I would try to bank and you know in and get to guard. Didn't have so I really. Really got into it and. I kind of stopped collecting. All college and. Does this year. Was very. Indeed indeed mean first Bowman cars so I kind of sparked my interest. What did it right away and and Cindy need gated me or how it very fortunate to deal autographs and baseball card though. You have really been able don't want them the cards and get out to my family and strand. Want to know mechanic got me back in the look like there's so to speak in credit running out of these cards like you know and not black Very nice trying to go with me here on the hobby on WGR. So what are some of your your best things are best autographs. On my best autograph. I think they have right now. Is to doubt today. World Series Jersey from the they gallery the Longoria the autocrat that got a World Series patch on it. It's. Authenticated PS DNA in it even got Adam Longoria has hologram on that I was able to work on that. Com through trade and I would give my best baseball card would be. A graded Nolan Ryan rookie card Nolan Ryan probably the one person and I collect. Just as he did. I love watching them play on TV and I was is the one purse I want to emulate whenever on the mound and though he was kind of a one card that I always try to collect it now that I collect it start ramp a little bit ease kind of the one that around. And try to come first a question back up again. That is a great card Ryan as you would know of course. Want out of his era he's to me he's the top guy for collectors mean Ryan. Obviously also had a great career needless to say but there's something extra about him he also pitched for so long so a lot. Lot of kids at different at different times along the way it would have been exposed and you know in a 22 year career something so maybe longer. So I'm really and that's the one painted I'm getting back into collecting been able to talk to some of these side and on super collectors just. Listening to you know their hundred people showed me pictures of their collection just being able. shared make new friends over you know just one player you know in kind of see what they have just talking about getting back in two in the being. Right how how well how good is your rookie card. Integrate. A good grade eight. Right now I'm you know it really good but it is currently the one that or depressed elaborate. We'll check back at an eight Ryan rookies very nice. Okay right to just go with me I'm Mike show opened this is the hobby on WGR. Ryan what kind of interest have you found that there is among baseball players in collecting. You know it kind of hit it in Ahmad. I'm not quite sure I know that. He checked. It probably super collector in the terms of you know the player world I think some people do extra actually with their own cards you know when they get released. You know sometimes the companies will give if you your own but obviously don't you go out autograph and or maybe that are the special hologram or things like that were more on the market as well you know looking because the card companies just don't. Kinda the promotional because that would take away you know from the around so we're on the market look at as well you know especially are aliens and com you know one sound usually. And outlooks or or things like that but. I think in terms just kind of collect and our players are really not quite sure but I know I know he's check is it he had that in the cart like. I've heard that too and also a couple of guys I've had on the show Dmitri Young with a famously great. Hall of fame rookie card collection. Why one of the best in existence Brad Ziegler from the days ago these on the really yeah Ziegler Diamondbacks may be. Arm he he's been on with me he is a big collector. Craig Rabach is another one although I think he might be out of baseball a player. So I'd like to find out about these guys that that are into it and of course you know. The access you have. Is so is so excellent here you are in the Washington organization what better. Organization would there be to be in for four you know if you're a collector right with Strasburg and Bryce Harper. Oh absolutely I mean you know there as soon as their cards are coming out there are being carved out by by people that they got out there. Tomorrow must you know I've played cards so bad and being able to watch them play on the field and also watching the value you know what their cars street. And what are your prospects this year Ryan you said you're open to make the big club. you know obviously that every cut every baseball player stream are much you're in the year and AAA. Eric New York with an affiliate and I'm very fortunate that the national that I did and they'll like that it kind of work on things and situations so. I think in the I'm I'm partly gonna start again as Eric Houston. Oakley at the scene and go to the I want I hope that you know the national TV champ and The nationals look better than ever right. You know what they're they're just getting better you know hopefully that. We can work got to deal copper Prince Fielder at being you know bring in that lineup would be. You know incredible and just bolster really strong. irritation and I think you know with the addition amount GO Gonzales starting look at national. You know there at that rotation going to be deadly you know and that they're able to that big bat that they wanted. and actually going to be a team to be reckoned. And I agree with that Orion maybe if if you're and you're going to be in Syracuse are spending more time there meet we will meet it's about two hours from here. And of course lots of games with buffalo and Rochester that the Syracuse. Plays every hour. And relish that not just about military is trying to plan now. On the I've enjoyed meeting you volley on Twitter hopefully my listeners will too and good luck this year. Appreciate their grammar or you're welcome to Tesco Washington. Nationals and I just abruptly cut them off without meaning to who was looking for the hold button and I hit the seal later but there sorry about that. I should apologize that was abrupt not on the air but you know behind the scenes here. very interesting baseball trade last night. Love it for the Yankees. The Yankees traded. Jesus Montero big catching prospect who did spend some time with them last year and did all right. To the Mariners for Michael Pineda there was more to the deal but neither is just I mean fears this guy right handed pitcher what do great pickup for the Yankees. I I won't I'm not on the inside when it's on the giving anything you can't get anywhere else by a lot of people. Love this trade for the Yankees to needed just huge upside for a four for him. And Montero was you know a good prospect but not like a sure thing in most minds any thoughts on this Matthew. Well the biggest thing is Montero is that he can't catch so he was probably gonna end up being DH. Which the Yankees don't really need one they have a couple players who need that DH spot give Jeter days off giving Iran days off. And they really need to fix up the rotation the sky 67260. Amazing first half. Right second half he fell off a little bit but that happens with some young pitchers when they. Throw Major League sells huge talent. Yeah yeah I think I think overall. You're getting back something better than you giving away there because there's no guarantee if if Montero becomes a catcher. And he can hit thirty home runs that's big value but he's a first baseman DH you can find those all over the place guys thirty home run. Very sneaky good move by Cashman just an NC north saw coming. A great trade for the yanks. All right some final thoughts here including one on some typing on eBay coming up call me feel like 8030550. I'm show and this is the hobby on WGR. Ryan to telescope Washington Nationals organization pitcher against him for being on. Double things I wanna get to in the last few minutes but feel free to erupts and supersede me because I'm always. I always want that eagle 30550. Is the phone number beyond this is the hobby on WGR every Saturday morning from eight to nine. Today run to the NFL playoffs start starts rather. And both teams will be on WB yen as we have the sabres tonight at the islanders pre game it's six. Saints at niners. Near record high temperatures for San Francisco on this possible mid sixties. And there's whether there are also perfect day the game tonight that I had a chance to go to I talked a little bit about it. Broncos patriots of looking at wind chills in the single digits little bit like our weather or a lot like it. Tonight for a new England and then pretty warm tomorrow the Green Bay game decent for the Baltimore game to you know mid thirties but. Nothing wacky that I read would be would be happening there. I got some last night. It's not as jargon that is losing. In in a bidding war on eBay at the last second. I've talked about my. Collecting Super Bowl MVP signed mini helmets and the right Aaron Rodgers helmet. Was sitting their last night in would be expensive. I decided with. Five seconds to go to bid eighty dollars above the leading and I got beat. I got the bid in Bristol got beat snipes are hard to. Hard to deal with. And I guess that means I should. Be one of those guys that you know you you set. A bid to go automatically right before the auction is over those are different programs you can use for that. And I don't know like maybe that's not why I lost like I did the same thing always I was watching the auction. But it's frustrating to lose that way you don't know that people are sitting by their computers bidding at the last second like you are and if you're like me feel like you know. Your superior to those people who just set a program to do their dirty work for them I was didn't like losing that Rogers it was a 200 dollar helmet a big ticket item and it had the inscription on it had the JS a certificate. I'm I'm I'm very particular about these not gonna. You know by any fakes. And I thought I had that I was bummed out here is bill on WG RI bill. out when I was younger I used you know collect cards and collect them you know every year or not put him in a shoe box and I'd like I have before choice. You know my house my little brother would always get and myself. But over the course of the years you know you're not collect them and put them up there and and I got older you know you did you really care about collecting cards anymore and I just you know let them up there and course and I want it to the army and went stationed in Korea you know about how truthful because. Home. And and just being given thought it really didn't care so that it at all anymore sibling you know. Get my card and probably up hit fairly well before choice in the attic. Yeah I was just wondering that they'd be where They sure. I'm in Korea we're talking you know these these are about a half century old these cards. There probably aren't they are very collect probably what they when we could walk up to the store and you know they won't like a nickel package and like so that checklist that check everything off tonight rubber band of not put them in. You know like old shoe boxes vitamin a poor choice so that my brother couldn't find them like a just forgot probably 62 through. Probably 68. On yeah that's that's a can be big money. if there in rubber bands. They know there are probably there's probably some damage. Older definitely damage confirming we we're always going to rule on trade numbers hold my friend because we are welcome we all had our favorite teams. let me say that and the derby there probably be some money and it if there's big money. The condition would be that the the key factor there. Like all they're not in good condition they wouldn't be worked very much them. It would be worth less but just how much less really it's it's just totally about what kind of shape the rim and yeah it's proportional so what are we get into this house. I don't know but the the request of the kind of wait for it to go up for sale but you know. For the flip rhetoric around the corner from it you might still visit it'll be old neighbors. From time to time and early mentioned that anybody else. This of this of this is puzzle a puzzle are here and whether another and it's it's it's it's definitely not your property anymore. Exactly know that the legally they're not the president not mine because you know obviously they. They're part of politics though. But if you knew with the people who live there. And you said to them look I I think there's something valuable in there that I I know where it is and you don't let's make a deal. Think about it that. What do you think about that. While maybe I'll just try that. I'll tell you all all all tell you where this is and show you how to get that it and will split the it will split the cause or the profits 5050. Maybe some like work let's interstate and let me know this plays out bill okay. All right thank you. Thought that's out what do think about that meant you better approach. I don't think he's in back. Known. I think it would be really weird if someone came to me and said hey there's Mike crap in your house from a 4050 years ago and I. Paul your floorboards and I dig in there and you know but it's just it's an alluring prospect these things sitting in there and wondering if they're still there and how much they might be worth super cool. That guy wants to write me so I can follow along in the store be thinking about them like what exact what I wanna do in that situation what would you what would you do it's a good one. Well I mean if the cut was picking up the potential cut then maybe it eleventh there the if it's my house and someone says that's a whole other matter. Minutes are what are you gonna pay for the damage. That's done that you'd pay for the repairs. Very interest in the to go lot of different ways that one. And only has Ricky bones cars. If he's got. Mean if he's got 62 in mint condition he's got big money no mint condition that's a but still there's potential there interest thing. I like that one I'll be asking my friends this weekend. What they would do in that situation hey Ryan gets left four assists last night don't get your hopes up. Have a great weekend I'm Mike show this is the hobby on WGR.

Card collecting hats he used to do it when you were a kid then you wanna way to college and -- through all your cards a way I heard that one before well that was then and this is now card collecting -- big business now cards have your heroes that your -- are still out there and sometimes they -- six figures you can spend hundreds of some new products and still make a profit how does it all works these days welcome to -- hobby WG yards -- new show created to keep collectors up to speed on the latest trends and let everyone -- just how vast and lucrative collecting -- can beat -- WG yards most avid collector Mike show.

Beckett baseball October of 09. And when the price -- starts you've got about a 250. Page price guides section. By the time you get to page six -- into the eighties. And then the rest of the 244. Pages -- card since 1985. -- mean it's just. That's the way it's gone but the first couple of pages the old stuff there's a famous baseball set -- a football set just like it from the late forties a -- at some of you may know that. 48 -- football 49 -- football there's even some confusion about which years they should be attributed to. But in the price -- I think it's 48 for football and its 49 for baseball my great uncle cliff payment is a short print in the set. But got most of his cards if I want. A card from him from that 49 -- set because he is a short print in PSA one. Meaning that it's probably got a quarter torn off crease down the middle. Bikes spoke card I'm gonna pay 300 dollars for. In that condition so and in he won 34 games in the major -- Big set. But when I can't. I can't entirely get my hands around. When I look at the 49 -- settler you know it's really about that's edit any set like -- from the old old days famous popular part sets. A look at that the PSA magazine degraded. Card price magazine. And -- see all the listings of reported sales. Of cards from from those sets. Whether it's on eBay or an auction houses or whatever. NIC you know 3003010008002000. Just. Dozens. Of reported sales last three years cards from that set for example. That just command huge prices and here is where like I I get that. There are people who collect cards I get that there are people who have money. I just I haven't fully grasped that there are that many people who. Have money that are spending it on parts like that. Reported sales L zarrella. Of meddling outfielder from those days probably short print after -- so looking at this. Reported sales 3600. Dollars alternately and simply asking. Who is spending 3600. Dollars on -- zarrella. In decent condition from 49 -- Who is that guy I don't know that guy I don't know a bottom. I can't even guess who he has. I don't mean by name I just mean like. I know some people with money I know some people -- of the hobby. There's not a real on a meeting place. Four for those people most times so there the point is. There have to be on enough people out there who spend sic money. On and on old cards and it's not just because they're buying Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb and Jackie Robinson. -- there are a lot of people enough to make this all work. That spend big money on -- guerrilla and cliff -- and even. And I think that's great. But I just -- about the other day I couldn't fully get my arms around like. Really that's happening. Because I don't know anybody like that but there must be enough people doing it. That time you know keep things going and I'm glad for that maybe it's you I'm here today I'd love to hear from summit via the phone number is 8030550. I just before we started I happen to be looking at the forecast for the Bronx tonight. And it's ugly it's warm at least in New York today. But for game six of the ALCS. Tonight it is just rain all day windy heavy rain. And then tonight they have some isolated thunderstorms love when the forecast reads like this rain this morning then rain.

Kindergartners talked but before the forecasts often talk like that so you've got a mess in New York for game six. And -- from a hobby standpoint I was thinking about the couple that the players the teams that are left. The the Yankees the Phillies are in and the Yankees are still in good shape but they've got one more win in the last time they were this far they lost four straight. To Boston after leading 30 so it's no given that got eighty Pettit tonight at the the very beatable pitcher for for the angels but I'm thinking about Joba Chamberlain. Mention him yesterday on on my weekday show. And I've got a brand who is. Semis interested in collecting I've tried to you know I can talk about this a lot trying to get my friends to find the appeal. And this one guy I did and he was in the cards a kid like many of us and got back into it and he. He identified. Joba Chamberlain. As the guy he was going to go after. So he bought. Able a lot of Joba Chamberlain cards that was a hot rookie card when he came out whether it's -- to different parts came out for job August 20076. Or seven. He. He thought this is my guy Yankee fan. Hot prospect. And somebody could kind of start brand new. Did have to back pedal like -- Jeter he'd have to go back in 92 and that the that's a bad idea necessarily but you know it was a it was a neat new fresh. Idea for him to get into the hobby so he he bought a lot of Joba Chamberlain in this week he's a little bit of I don't know I don't know if this is gonna work. You did you get like that as a collector with certain of your prospects I didn't. Pick out certain hockey players well like I committed I guess with Paul Stastny and Shea Weber. But that was only after having collected quite a bit of their stuff just by opening product. So I had a lot of stuff that I opened already done. Pretty much vested in many of the big hockey rookies last 34 years. So I look at a lot of them this way I know for example open tar with the kings is off to a very good start so is his team and that's good. Because of got a lot of scope to our stuff when he somebody that people people said was going to be really good. And now it's starting to work for him it seems so I look at that and thank god is good for me. -- I don't know watching the game the other night the guys are talking about him losing velocity hold easy. You know they moved him around about a messed them up with the bullpen and starting back and forth. Joba rules easily -- throw this many pitches he's coming out of games he started in the third inning even though it's 11. And my friend is worried that this in not only because -- Yankee fan but because this investment. That he made. He started to wonder about it and my prediction is that they will deal Joba Chamberlain in the next couple of years. Because if he's losing velocity at this young an age. Then. That's a bad sign. And our office because they moved him around so much -- exactly what the reason would be. But I could see Yankee team it's pretty good when evaluating prospects digging Chamberlain and eventually come to the conclusion this is more trouble than it's worth. And moving it and if they do that. Regardless of how how good a pitcher. He is at the time when he's pitching for his new team if these traded. That's something for the collector to take very seriously in regard to what his investment is. How much of an investment he's made really if he's traded to Kansas City. It doesn't matter too much how good he is I guess he could win Cy Young awards and you'd be all right but -- it's huge whether it's baseball or any sport. Football it's the least relevant but certainly the other Big Three sports it means a lot where your -- place. And there's no better example than in hockey. There are to -- some of the best. Of the best example for this I can think of his Kovalchuk in Atlanta you've got guys who. Even though they're teens aren't very good are great players. And there on the their these markets like Atlanta in his case. And there's there's a hobby following but it's just so much less. Of what it would be. If he played in a real hockey hotbed so. You can get into Ilya Kovalchuk and you'll -- top petition for his stuff his cards price all right he's a star. But the fact that he's on Atlanta. Renders him so much less relevant to a lot of hockey collectors. Then he would he would rank it be played in Montreal and in what I've done a couple times. Is it might be guilty of sometimes over. Reacting to that but. Webber in Nashville. For me. When I started to collect some of his cards I thought well this is this is perfect because he's good he's young he's got a huge upside anyplace for the Nashville Predators which means some day he -- That and that that'll be good for me that's what I'm that's what I'm focused on with them. So with hockey coming in you know if you follow the NHL you have half a dozen. Hockey markets that are just so tepid. They're good players you mean you want them if you're collecting their cards you want them out of there. You watch it wherever out of Nashville you want Kovalchuk out of Atlanta he does even really matter of those teams get hot and win. Because you know that it's it's not likely -- my opinion is it's not likely. That those those markets really take off from their summer better than others. Even San Jose. You want your guys in Canada. Or maybe Philadelphia I don't know really know how many good American hockey markets there already more Detroit is number one. For collectors Detroit is number what I'm talking about. How many people fans of those teams. Our into the hobby to we have with the rip the Red Wings work Blackhawks work the sabres I suppose work. And then may be the flyers the Rangers. After that you have the big names like Crosby Ovechkin Pittsburg in Washington. So there they rank. But ideally you want your your guys in a big hockey market in if you happen to think. Shea Weber Ilya Kovalchuk and they're younger guys two on those teams Bryan little Atlanta pavlik the goalie. You happen to like those guys as. As players and you wanna collect them you what you want them off those teams that's maybe an obvious point -- you do. Sobbing and a job we'll see what happens with -- we'll see what happens but this game tonight game six ALCS it is a yucky. Forecast. In New York. -- those of you are into any thing new hobby wise look to hear from you this morning 8030550. The number we talk a little bit about exquisite basketball before it came out. Have any of you dabbled in some of the new stuff and had luck or maybe a lack of -- I have not been in that much much in the way of new products in a while I've been focused on acquiring a couple of older sets. That that's taking up a lot of my -- a lot of my energy a lot of my money. But I put toward collecting so I haven't really bought anything new and awhile and part of what I like to do here for -- is talk about some of the new products. Did quite a bit about quite a bit of that rather about a month ago. But time haven't been. Too much into it lately so if you got an opinion and you can help us out with that anything new baseball hockey football what have you let us know about it 8030550. The number. I've got time your calls here I've got Tracy heckler from Beckett coming up in about ten minutes. And then we'll have time for some more opinions and your calls here at the end of the hour today on the hobby you can send me an email any time the hobby at WGR 550. Dot com 8030550. Is the phone number here is Jim -- Jim.

Like. I'm kind of who was in this he inherited in -- inherited I mean I've found itself in the basement and from my uncle. A set of calling from so -- for the 62 and 63 peaceful use them. And on they're you know ultimatum medal of -- in May -- why it definitely can. You know baseball players -- cancer. You know they were prevalent these books are given away right and -- did you ever heard of those you know is there any kind of -- those.

You have those are I've heard of them it's not my. I know the post can be big. Is it baseball you have because they think they made them for hockey to.

You're the baseball and we I got a couple years it -- in line in the area in in means 63. And they even have three of them. From there to 62 there are still in me. Plastic wrappers how many do you think you have in total -- eighteen of the to 63 in the thirty. The 62.

I have a feeling that those might be nice what I would do a -- when I say this almost every week it seems. Depending on what what the call is and what people have. I think. When you have something that you can't just easily look up in a price guide Jim. What what you wanna do is checked online I always say eBay first because its chip and massively popular site. Go to eBay and just type in -- search. So lot of or type in points in just try to find as close to what it is you have. As you can. Most people no matter how -- Seemingly obscure whatever it is they have as I mean you're gonna find others like it most the time if they're out there.

I have found in and I mean in -- it looks Whitcomb you know going anywhere from two dollars to ninety dollars from. But my question of these you know how what I find a woman's point of ground here did. I can sell them to you I'd I'd want to get rid of them were not about wanted to kind of you know trying to element is that up. And you know.

There's a few ways to do that that there's a few ways to do that you can't do that on line and trust that if you don't wanna do that he's wanna take them somewhere not have to worry about all that. Then your options are more limited but you can do that you confined collectibles dealer in the area. A sports collectibles a card shop -- if it's. Sports you're talking about and they might have an interest there's no guarantee about that but they might you could also find I mean card shows don't come around. Every week. But there are -- for those that you might be able to take them to a card show you could probably get a deal done there if there if they have any value. You could even list them in the paper. So you have a few options depending on just how are you wanna do it how easy you wanna make it if you if you're number one. This goes for anybody selling anything which is why I'm happy to spends much time on this one specific case. If you wanna get if you're number one priority is to get the most money you can for it. You -- you wanna use the Internet. But -- it's like a really specific to buffalo product or where wherever it is you are. If you go local you might be limiting a little bit how much how much you'll get. But that's not to say you should go with that advice he might just wanna get -- you know. And I'll be Jim. It. Pay if you wanna send me an email to feel free to do that I'd love to see what it is you have -- maybe I can offer you having seen a picture a little bit more specific advice okay.

And what -- okay thank -- down at the hockey games would would bring in bringing it over there to show is that.

That would that would be fine it if if you don't mind hanging on to them while you're at the game you know I usually have a few minutes there so I. I'd love to see him -- notice the old stuff like this. And to me that's the the most fun of all this is just somebody has and you know. Whether it's something that. I might have had in the past or not just need old stuff the better conditions. It's in the more more interesting it is and work -- it is so yeah that's really fun for me. Okay Jim. 8030550. Is the number any time you have something you may or may not be that knowledgeable -- the hobby you can't always. Go to eBay type it in and see what other people are paying for and don't be fooled by just what people are listing. The items for what people want. There's a big difference sometimes between what people want. And what people get so you'll see people go online and just buy it now. Crazy amount and it just sits there forever. You type that you you click that completed listings box on the left then you're gonna see what people are really paying for whatever it is you're searching up. All right Tracy tackler from Beckett coming up stated a hobby talk with Tracy upper deck what happens there anyhow they're doing. Streaming audiences are local audience and if you know people out of the area forward to collecting I'd be great to tell them for meeting here -- you've told them about our show. Really with with collecting there are people everywhere who are really into it. But it's not a huge number of people so a lot of times you end up. Needing to connect with people outside the area and I hope that the show can be sort of a common interest for those -- into collecting from wherever you're listening. Tracy tackler joins me now he is the publisher of Beckett sports media we he had Tracy on a couple times we started a year ago. And he's been good enough not only to come -- with me today but to do show where it is what in Dallas like 7:30 in the morning that's that's nice for you it's nice for me. -- I'm so honored thanks Tracy. They Tracey let's just let's catch up on some on some things that have happened in in collecting in the last. Last little while here or longer than that starting with a -- The may be the last time you when I talk to you you gave some some thoughts on -- acquiring Don Ross. The the NBA. Exclusivity license and we talked about how that might how that might go over. Party think they're doing so far and we're do you see it headed.

Well thanks so far they've they've they've done a pretty good job and they obviously have a lot of thomas'. People in place executives in her book the brand management teams the marketing teams and so that they haven't really missed -- be product line. A lot of product that -- Had for years are still being released just but they made a big. Big waves last. About a two or three weeks ago in the site. Kobe Bryant and there with the spokesman of the they'll form and really make weight and actually because. I'm -- Eugene. And he's got. -- Italian -- because it. Is that without -- so. That deal was -- For the Amber's -- and help them. And their goal of creating a more -- Global landscape for the better products -- well like have been released. It would -- these branded product which. Electors know prestige from football for years and so the exact title or expected total I think that they're better. Great foray into -- for.

How about really that the big part of it I think is well that's that's big enough but just what it means to upper deck collectors have been really just. Upper deck has been the hobby company for so long and now they lose the basketball license. -- goes with -- They lose the the MLB which is bigger. So wound. How what -- you seen so far -- that that lets you and can -- have any kind of clue as to what upper what upper deck is going to do about. Having these these license losses.

Well think. Local governments that India is long. Michael Jordan and LeBron James and contract they're gonna do something with basketball whether that. In a basketball product and no logos -- players. Whatever that they pervasive between the opens up in that -- in baseball. We've talked to their folks and they seem pretty adamant that they're -- Proceed in 2010. What -- in terms of they're gonna have a line of baseball on base they have the Major League Baseball Players Association liked and so it. They're entitled to whether they have -- right to. All current players. They don't have the right to it stated. It in LP property Timor and ping the -- here Japanese have produced. I'd like to treat our sworn in in -- even have access with them. It's so so going to be did. They're gonna challenge the system there's a question about that and they're gonna. Literally products and you know I think it'll it'll be extreme attention to see how the marketplace reaction you talk collectors treat them.

Yes it well and that really is there really is the much bigger aspect of this is not just want upper deck decides to do -- make. It's holly -- goes over what do people. Do people care about it and I like the way you put it Tracy said. People of companies have done this before and some have even made it work you know it's like in the area it is revealed that it doesn't often work so. We've known upper deck forever and collectors have been buying so much of upper deck products through the years but. Now it's gonna be harder I think for people to -- you know it's it's gonna be different. And I'm I just can say this as a collector myself. I am almost never interested in the product the don't have that. The official. Sport licenses and it's just way less interest and products mean -- like the team logos the teams are a big part of it so I think they have a very tough job here.

I -- I think a lot of collectors agreed to do another actually think. This will be their last season. What a -- to predict there last season with the it NHL it's right. And so right stop the greatness is thicker they would look back and rpm trivial accounting what in the game -- can put -- you're skiing next fall when. That license terms is so sure.

Yes. Tracy hecklers publisher prospective sports media he joins me Mike show here on the hobby you today. So what quickly let's let's -- tops to me they they get the baseball license. I I think you know top says tops is tops it's been around forever but. Upper deck has made the more exciting more interest staying. And popular products generally through the years here is tops going to step up its game or is it gonna still be tops. And that'll have to do another tried it and I try to put him down so much by that but it's just a different kind of look at the top product the produce -- product last few years.

Isn't it in -- it's traditionally aired originally bought up and it. They they have one of the biggest weapons in the industry and that's their butler in the some people know. Well that is people collect up every year and they're they're excited obviously -- in will be properties incident in Albania. I think they have big plans -- never been a company -- six felt that the real super premium high end stuff the room they make no bones about that picked. They have a few products that have done well nattering at the -- and I don't know what in a predictor of opening America have had passed that right they say it they have plant pedometer retail. Which is big state they have. Plans to troops to help. Bring it back in my in the -- the easiest way most effective way -- having any streamlined limited. Offering it. At retail -- and going to Wal-Mart target Kmart whatever the united and it with a pure hitter in Ramallah in the by action not inundated with. Point five different options.

Yes and that that is a good thing. A good point -- tackler with us from Beckett I'm -- show thanks for listening everybody today. Tracy -- just share with you. I keep seemingly through this show coming to these sort of -- making these observations and sometimes they just. Sort of take over my head and they might sound really dumb more obvious spot. Here's today's just looking through a -- price guide one of yours and and also sports market report from PSA. And I happen to be looking at the 4049. -- baseball -- And just -- the long list of the it was in the back it. -- price got this happened a long list of reported sales of cards from that set. Now I know it's a popular set I know that it's super tough one to find in nice condition I know all the basics. But when I looked at each listing individually I just could not believe. How much money. Is thrown at those carts and the name that. Kept sticking with me is -- gorilla like may be a short printed -- permits that but just you know an obscure player from those years and and I live in my little world here we do the show but you know I'm in in my own collection I've got a couple of friends who dabble in it but I just do I just. Can't get my arms around the fact that there are enough people out there. Who are buying. Medium grade L -- 49 -- cards for one example. Two to really command those kind of prices do you ever just sort of sees something like that and -- shake your head that. What he's out there in this hobby and how much money some people are throwing down.

Absolutely and you know what commit to the top of the public segment the passion -- the country amazing but that that particular examples that they carton grated. Targeted you know there there are. These certain number of debt collectors who are currently trying to upgrade the conditions have there been threats and and so we actually crazy money and I are needed to retrieve those guys go at the same cardinal is. Iraq that's true. And then properties well it is it would have clearly. More on the modern art market there that. Folks who -- LeBron came with it would be Carter certainly emblem. And they're selling for. 91011000. Dollars. -- which is talkin' to ours our basketball. Mark yesterday this is. You estimated by increases are fair game and so that I think there are those people out there who will stop at nothing. Within reason to get the cart they want and in a condition that they want.

Obviously this would very Tracy but and you. Can you stereotype who that collector is is that it is that the 49 -- guy the vintage guy. Or even LeBron guy is it an old man who collected the set a long time ago and is now spending some of his retirement money your money from the market. Is it someone does the young -- who just you know is. Looking for something to spend money on his real money is a credit I mean I'm asking -- some some kind of may be tough questions to answer but is is there an image when you think of that person. Or those people who are competing for those cards and spending thousands doing it. Is there an image that you see.

Well that did there a couple of I think covered -- of murdered there be older than did the guy who who have collected this set. And has announced some discretionary income -- Arab network it's just money he's -- all over the years. Good and bad news. And -- in the other one should be -- be -- car dealers looking to get back Arctic. What people who want these -- cooped in. -- that the help of the USA. These are looking for you -- market its final -- your problem. It's -- you have. You have those people -- some middleman -- who want to market in grab the cards.

For a right we talked to Dmitri Young on the show last year and he he might be someone you talk about that's an example that he had a guy. Who he hires to buy his stuff forum I heard actually that he was. I don't know if I could trust this information may be you know I heard that he was. Not necessarily selling but slowing down a little bit have you heard that.

I haven't heard that but I I was impressed by what you guys and oh yeah. We properly inspect it because we look for. Correctly to collect and go out on her because -- shift that it's not so openly doing it now and so whatever we. Here got a guy like Dmitri Young again excite them to -- that have a passion and in the acknowledges. Is really impressive.

And he -- I think you're still find that interview on her website Brad Ziegler to from the -- who collected his own cards. As well as of one former teammate if -- is and one former opponent of his from his amateur years Ryan Howard and Albert Pujols not that bad. Choices there. I I would say. Okay -- it was nice to catch W thank you. You're welcome and I will Tracy tackler upper deck are -- Beckett sorry. Just looking at something from one of the -- magazines and I happen to blurt out upper -- heckler from Beckett sports. Publishing. Expert. And we'll have him on again once in awhile like to just catch up and talk about the big topics in the hobby so I appreciate him coming on with me. All lines are open again 8030550. You wanna talk about cards and may be something you have we can talk about that I would love that. Lines open I might show here on the hobby be right back I might show welcome back to the hobby -- live in studio today you can give me call at 8030550. To talk about collecting memorabilia cards like that. Lines are open your about the next six minutes and then will be done for today the started to get into little baseball earlier talking about the yankees' Joba Chamberlain. And the the game tonight yankees and angels weather permitting. But the Phillies I think the Phillies are are in great shape. Try to put -- in a sort of a hobby perspective here. Boy if they win again. Not that it -- Lee Howard Rollins they're they're begin field are not already popular in the hobby but. Back to back World Series titles. You know what they say it's you can't take that away from them. And I would say that too. Just thinking that that that might lead to an uptick in in their stuff the thing about it it's -- you can never assume that because you wonder if their futures have already been factored into their prices the whole. Rookie card market is is really speculative the reason Sidney Crosby cards are so expensive from the time he enters the NHL. All about what he's going to do when he gets there so when Crosby wins the Stanley Cup there's not really a bomb in his stuff. Because people were already sort of counting on that it's already factored in. Back to back World Series though -- the Phillies pull that off Ryan Howard. Hamels. If he's good again he's been more erratic this year -- for sure Rollins. Those guys all have a real status in the history of the game. I heard this week only three. National League teams have ever won back to back World Series we're talking about more than a hundred years. Old old New York Giants. Very old Chicago Cubs 1907190. Wait. The giants were in the twenties the thirties. And the big red machine thing about that the status the big red machine -- though I mean in in terms of baseball -- in terms of collecting. You've got hall of famers all over the place plus Pete Rose. Perez makes Hall of Fame he was always a borderline candidate. He played on a a famous legendary. Team that won back to back World Series titles. That might have been the reason why he got in. Morgan back to back MVPs. In that team has a real legacy. And if the Philadelphia Phillies win again they will become only the fourth National League franchise ever to win back to back World Series. Which which bodes well for a lot of those guys and for people who collect their stop plus there are -- real good sports market so. I might think gum you know the Sidney Crosby comparison is fine when Crosby enters the NHL as. The most hyped prospect since Mario Lemieux with -- and Wayne Gretzky. Of course Stanley cups and the Hart trophy and all that'll be factored in but. Not necessarily Chase Utley. So you've got time you've got some potential there I think with the Phillies and if they beat the Yankees doing it even better. Want to I wanna give a plug to sports card forum up a very good website here. I am you know we get calls like we did earlier today and I always steer you toward eBay. I'm not sure I really ought to do that eBay is fine it's just that it's an honest. Way of you know I'm thinking about how to answer your question and eBay is is such a massive. Marketplace. That Tom you know you're you'll get. An idea. Certainly of what people are paying for things on the day you you know took it works. But there's no particular dedication to collecting from -- mean eBay is for every. And sports card forum we had the the man who put the website up. Originally. On the show along time ago would be good did get them on again it's been awhile. That site is really good anybody who is in the collecting at all. Once cards wants to on load. Trade even eBay there's no trading -- that mean you can. Look up a seller's name and send him an email just kind of go around through the backdoor. And see if he's got something he would trade what he wants something for what he's selling whatever. But sports card forum. Patterns itself to people who want to make deals. It's really good it's really all sports. Lots of it seems honest collectors who urges their for the right reasons. It might be the ideal website. -- What we like about the hobby you wanna be able to trust -- which wanna be able to trust. Who it is that you're dealing with and I think I would say you could almost always do that but sometimes. Sometimes not there are probably pitfalls with sports card forum to. But Tom I I think it's a really good site anybody's in the collecting should should go to sports card forum dot com. Any sport you want all kinds of different options there great pictures people post their pictures of what it is they're looking to trade or sell. And boy this got there's a lot of content there too which is which is big. The only thing I had in mind to get to today that I haven't yet. Is what to do with your collection sometimes people ask me a lot of times -- me where I can sell something. And that's great other types one and oh wanna I wanna get it out of the attic. And display it what are the things that -- we talked a little bit about autograph cards in that respect last week but I am today I had a mind warping and about. Binders -- boxes just how what is to make a nice display in your home didn't really have very much time to get into that now is we're about out of time. But but maybe next week I've on the binders guy became one of a couple of years ago I had boxes but. -- Going to them and looking at them and binders were much easier. And more. User friendly if you will so I put a lot of Mike most of my good stuff into binders even though takes up a lot more space. That works for me. All right what do think Tracy tackler for being on and also you for listening today dank cave for producing the show I'll be back here next Saturday with another edition of the hobby I might show have a great weekend.
