How old do in your experience do the players left behind reacted that like it if they have they have other running backs on the team Fred Jackson wasn't getting the ball and he had a great year last year at least a very good year not agree here. And lynch was installed as the starter and I think it's reasonable to -- because they wanted to establish the best trade value they cook for him. Yet maybe you'd argue that or maybe the players on the team might even think like you know he's not our best running back why don't we play our best running back -- -- really trying to win these games. Just -- and safe CJ Spiller could it be an example all the -- LC as time goes on. How they integrate an enemy in the plan and actually was I think that gets -- here reduce some things creates an excitement but if he's adorable stack which still makes it curious why. With mentioned with Fred Jackson they would take CJ Spiller but that's the subject for different time I just think that yeah its players except it just -- stand point that. You know they've now Watson starting quarterback go to a different team they can send news that -- the right deal was here. -- lidge could do it and accept organizationally it's one of those things work. You know they know the -- are going to be there and you know that offensive line blocking probably isn't going to be their seat is patiently wait and see how it's gonna go it's not as it. It's going into deficit by putting a link to the top of the line getting in the -- don't think it's necessarily. Going into the players' locker and thank all my god this is really changing our fortunes and our ability to. Helping all. Okay John -- with us. Body -- a couple actually comments today about the lynch trade one thing he said was. If your talking about a draft pick that isn't to be used until April what's the difference. Between having it now. And having it to in the summer when. Some suggest that he should have made this deal but he wouldn't say by the way if you wonder John he wouldn't say if there was a better deal out there you wanna get into that. Are all sitting scanner trying to see if they could steal -- for five or something less. But he's a big organization and -- held to what -- perceived value when they get out the debate like three or four. You -- but still it's available Salt Lake do it really much that they could have grew up on back that -- still going through training camp. Looking to see what they had seven Seattle's case are trying to see if Julius Jones Leon Washington just enforce that we're gonna work out. -- they wouldn't have been in the next until they get the injury with Ryan Grant. And if there was really no other team that was -- shopping for running back so but a limited market -- kind of enhanced by Seattle just basically not being able to run double. -- that all makes a lot of sense I'm pretty good at the end of all this the only the only thing that -- it might be a little Ricci is whether if they could have done something. -- right at the draft and gotten a pick for this year a fourth trumpet that they could have here on the roster will be working with and developing. That might have helped them more than. But once you've got past the draft and and I would know whether there was something available to be done and would see our somewhere else. -- -- -- you got past that mean the draft isn't until this coming April that makes no point made it makes no difference to me really whether or not you get the panic in July you've dated him. October. Yes also do think that around -- -- halftime everybody's looking. Where they're positioning themselves to get a young running back into the first for a second or third round running back. And so I think that really even further limited the market debate adamant and trying to get somebody in a trade so I just think that. This was hit them in this is gonna be as good as it was going to get and I do think it's good value and now. You move on with Fred Jackson and try to get some more ways to create some positive things for CJ Spiller. John -- with us John fans some fans are wondering if there might be more trades coming. From the bills they have another whatever it is twelve days I guess do you foresee that. I'll see it no economy and there's not much I -- I -- may be. If police then uses tradable commodity that could be a possibility but. And maybe somebody in the secondary -- still is probably the deepest secondary and football. So conceit maybe dealing from some strength here but. Not to the point where I think you can almost count on any kind of a deal on the future -- Lee Evans then you go from one receiver had no receivers and then no hope. It is not a lot of hope now but -- no hope. For -- development of the quarterbacks or any positive things in the offense is total I think. This was the one trade to make that makes sense and now I think the trading books with nothing else happening. John while recognizing unit sitting there are some assuming you're not with like a bill's depth chart in their roster just you know open in studying it. The players do you think they have. -- speaking about the wonder well should they trade what kind of value they could get formally. One of the things I I I get depressed about as much as I get excited about and -- maybe. Being available come April to hopefully come in and save the day. Just watch them play on Sunday against the jets and I just wonder like how many drafts is it going to take before. I can have a good football team -- great on the. Yeah it's safe to or through the and more likely three because. It goes through this whole exercise every week with just about every team because -- do depth charts. I do up state to depth chart. One that they actually do it now stand their particular practices they okay how legitimate starters aren't there that would start on most other teams. And our offense in -- it's probably only five maybe 66. You know I give a generous grade -- I think that the two guards in the center and I think that Lee Evans would certainly start on any other team. And don't go running Maine I would and maybe Fred Jackson could starter CJ Spiller could start. Wouldn't go quarterback wouldn't go to school wouldn't go tight end and only we go one receiver and on defense you I think at this stage probably say it is about eight legitimate starters went. Most of those have all all four in the secondary I think. Could carry over that you could take some back -- at quarterback. And may -- even safety input and the starters and other teams. You'll maybe two linebackers and may be too -- sense of wind and so I say. You know seven or eight on defense and then you know a lot of good depth in the secondary that's -- you start to dry out. It's curious to me why Bill Belichick would do it and means committee it's just really be doubling this year for the future and -- and when you have a quarterback that you know they almost lost permanently with that knee injury. You know why would you try to do that because. He looks the danger they have right now they've betrayed for Laurence Maroney and one week later -- it was Kevin's fault for this season what happens that they lose Brandon Tate. They have depth its case something happens to Wes Welker because Julian settlement could do the same thing as being a slot receiver what they don't have. If somebody they can do things successfully downfield outside the numbers and I think it really could restrict things. If anything what happened to Eric Hernandez and what happened to Brandon Tate. And sure enough what what might happen the next few weeks also wondered to eat at -- in walker coming -- major knee injuries. But are they gonna hit a little bit of well one physical wall. Once they get about week nine week and what about the two rookies that are a tight and what they start to hit that metal wall. And about week nine -- week and it is so I think this was not a good move I think it's one of those business decisions and everybody kind of pop consultant -- but we'll put it this way. They're less of the team now than they -- before the trade. Page and I asked you about you know messages. Being sent on the bills' locker room how the New England like how how does this go over -- -- That's a very good team a contending team. And you take one of the best receivers of the generation awful the roster here you know four games into the season I'll I'll -- to do with that. -- the message. Because of what it also shows is that if -- or a player they can help this team go to this. -- there's more than a better chance you're not going to be given a contract extension. If you have to really battle for those contract except Tom Brady you're gonna get it if you abysmal -- look at the struggle -- But I think it sends a bad message to the veterans that have been there for a long time. That you're replaceable and what you get a little bit older it's like Philadelphia you know what you get past thirty you know -- want to act because you can be going someplace so. It sends a message in the locker and I think you can see it. From its Woolfolk and his reaction today was fearful he want to necessarily endorsing the deal but it wasn't going to be counterproductive and blacks. The deal but no I think which -- looking at is as. Method sent to that locker and veterans. Where do you think it ends up or how do you think it ends up for New England. It went a division I mean mainly because they have Tom Brady although now it's a little bit more challenging because when you look at the kids want on the New York Jets. More talented team I'm not saying in time that these young players the twelve draft choices in each of the last two years that the patriots have. Don't develop into something special they very well could they're not there yet but when you look and you say okay. Let -- -- offensive line gets who has the better wide receiving group jets. Who has the better defense jets who has the better quarterback patriots mean asking about the case. The question is how much can Tom Brady cover for some of the deficiencies. And win that division I. Still think they can do it because it operating. Fighter jets really looked impressive to me it was it would -- they trounced the bill's primary we saw the bills give New England game open Foxboro the week before. The jets were I mean I just nature's. Random battles over John. Yeah and tactics team and in doubt that the they get Santonio Holmes stack. I mean this is not a Santonio Holmes on the New England Patriots and so now they -- him to go Braylon Edwards. They go with Dustin Keller and if it's so much easier for Mark Sanchez let me look at the -- Of what's Sanchez was able to do last week in the last two weeks because. Now let's say about almost silly motion packages they have in the first week he just stands back there flipped the ball to somebody catches -- and that's something with. In the now 45 guys can do that. John Green Bay a very popular Super Bowl pick before the season Nick Barnett hurt they haven't been. That impressive so far the records okay. How do you compare Green Bay now with what you thought of them before the season started. They're trying fast and interest this has been a very bad week for them first stop losing Ryan Grant. Huge issue that made demarche summit straightened out there inferior I think they're running back position. News to data -- find out how bad market watchers shoulder wrist. They very well could lose him for an extended period of time they lose the safety Morgan -- who was doing a nice job filling in for. I don't military base and a big loss and they lose -- that's still a very small line backing core and also they're out they're using it to 45 active defense -- scheme that really has those linebackers. In getting beat up a little bit more songs I look at this is. Very troubling and that without the running game we've got a quarterback's -- we need to spread the ball throw -- -- -- -- as saying well wait a second we need to do what I want to do. I think -- a little bit troubled right now that three and one but they're not as talented as they work in training camp. Tied it three and one with. With the bears who have lost Jay Cutler at least for this week John as they're concerned that that could linger. Top -- because I mean I guess it's one of -- encouraging but. There was this backer just conscience but I think what comes down to -- that there has to be a genuine concern. That he has one concussion and an offensive line you can get anybody a concussion. And so our offensive -- is really bad as I think -- to be concerned that yes something bad could happen but that -- offensive line and the quarterback anyone behind them. This week I. Get to go to Indianapolis to see -- the Kansas City Chiefs are for real which is a kind of an interesting game. -- -- they are. It went seven games that Kabila stay up with. Both Indian used in the next 27. That -- them their divisions. Because well could you guys -- video they're basically a six win team. -- one solid training can't but I think we all kind of came out of that anybody visiting their camp again you're about to -- -- And you're not getting much disagreement from the profits people could say -- they're kind of building at the right way and building it slowly. Couple things break then they can -- to be -- venerate and what broke was. They were able to beat San Diego at home and -- they can start to beat the teams in the west -- yes somebody could come up with a little bit better record because. Most of the ten teams or the eight teams that are in the AFC -- and it seemed less which of course. That's is scheduled at the US and -- -- play they're not very good so I think he can get to separate. It's respectfully and I know what a scholar of the schedule you are you you've gone around with -- us few times about that the chiefs play the following teams. The rams. The cardinals the Seahawks the bills the raiders twice. The -- they have a nice run of -- road here Kansas City they have good. And I'm not yet come out as having some ability to win on the road. And may not have the opposite. Thing to do what they certainly can't be good running game as solid enough defense committed to squeeze out three or 44 road -- spinning in my -- top eight went -- -- -- -- They're not gonna get to attend what if they get and nine -- will can we go out to dinner have. Sure and I met my -- nine it's ominous and I took I want to take a team this years to make an interest in from myself. So I took them don't know about. No I like them -- they they have been bad for awhile they have a longer drought without a playoff win in the bills have what they have the bills don't. Is some real talent that they have some speed at key positions that I think would give fans there are some hope. Yeah and there's only thing I criticize them for they took out they extend supplement. To die his. They caused at least come in and has yards after the catch Charles I think has -- yard after the get guidance clearly. But certainly good at yard after the cat guy so that helps them out. And the agreed to wrap. And you talk about you know I didn't know under choices they'd get really basic and makes its speed out of this -- is so not like the direction they're going. And I think they're gonna come up much better than I think if anybody initially thought. They have a they have a real GM it's nice when you hit on those picks John -- the last thing you don't the -- strayed. From the 2007. Director talking may take two or three draft for the bills to stockpile the talent from the -- seven draft. They now just have Paul puzzles in the -- on the roster that's. -- assessment could now and so that's. It's not enough and yup that's the problem of taking guys particularly in the first round. And then I'm not start you know Aaron -- what -- they have replays or something like that in the last game. Now that's not a dent in -- CJ Spiller as talented he is an exciting is he's still not starting yet. Picking guys and you know it's on the part -- still does these. -- now wait a whole career but first round picks are precious and you got to come up was started that you're going to advance you look at Kansas City those first round picks are starting.
