Sell literally it's been like this for the past three weeks it's it's been incredible I don't know what is going out with a look -- -- fact that it would end raiders and -- mastery but anyway. We gave you got anybody can find me every Tuesday night I'm actually on the Internet it's on Justin TV which is basically like gay -- online streaming video. Television type of deal. Where it's radio television you can have a camera I do use a webcam. And you can find me at doing an NFL now program at 8 o'clock where we talk. NFL for complete our in my host is Johnny bodies up in Chicago the windy city got a lot of opinions on. Not only the bears of course -- -- else in the NFL he's been involved the media object Condo for many years and the Buffalo Bills now at 930. And -- -- we made some changes and there is some really good production things going on with that and that's got -- in new wave medium I think for way to kind of get in touch it. Because everybody's got to transplanting around the world you wanna following your favorite team in. You know what I wanna do is create. A way for bills fans America where they live in this world -- -- to get Buffalo -- talk in solid talking to have some fun -- there's a live chat -- seek and find me. But anybody wants to go to south sports dot com that's my website sell sports dot com and you can find the links to those things of course. That's -- couple years ago I was the first the country report the bill's signing Terrell Owens or at least having interest so kind of blew up the Internet which was nice AME. Little bit of a playwright there but now it's. Anything going around the world sports especially buffalo sports Syracuse University sports I went to Syracuse just want over there and now we have a good show for. Good idea and we got a good show -- imagine you do Buffalo Bills now it's like figured today. -- I went on your program this past Tuesday we talked about the bills in the draft picks all that I thought you know what. Today let's just get to the nitty gritty let's let's talk about this of this franchise because. Training camp has just. Please -- eleven days away from reporting anyway and you know there's. Way more question mark than there are answers at this point with with this team and you know it it really just. It's it's hard to really get a good grasp on what to expect from this team what. Is really plausible for this team it in this season and and even moving forward with the new regime and and everything like that and you know it. For me and by the way the phone numbers 8030551888552515. That the toll free -- you wanna jump in on this bills talks on sports doctor you want -- agreements about the bills you wanna talk about what's on -- -- with the bills but heading into training camp calls up and and will probably give you are big but. What can we expect from this team going on in this season what can we expect out of -- need to. But let's just keep it there. You know the bills obviously needed a big time change and they did it. Not in exactly in the way that we all wanted it to be. We we didn't get the big name guy head coach we didn't get to be. Acquisition. A free agent or anything like that. -- of their building through the draft something we see an earlier buffalo franchise and and what can. Sell -- is out to deflect you right now what. -- Argue they keep pulling in the training camp I mean I mean what what is the biggest thought on your mind thing while what what what's going on here. Well you know that if there's one thing this team this organization's been able to do in the. -- this entire crisis over the last ten years of not making the playoffs it's every two or three years reenergize the -- and based. By doing something and whether that's just a mirage it smoke and mirrors whatever it is. People get energized whether it's signing it Terrell Owens trading perjury Bledsoe. Now firing Dick Jauron who was definitely out of favor with the fans in Western Europe for good reason. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Reaction was not good start -- but I think people are kind of warming up to -- and I know that your your OK with the hiring of dealing. I got a wait and -- kind of guy never snap judgment I got a coach unless I'm really really familiar with the body of work. I'm not watching and -- most of us and buffalo are but he wasn't Dallas he did have to winning season where he went to the playoffs. And I think you have to give the benefit of the doubt that's much more. Than almost any NFL coach can say especially any recycled NFL coach so I think what to expect from this team is a little more about. Energy going into the season and we've had the last couple years -- picture on a little more optimism. But all in all being said they still don't have the talent to compete at and every Sunday basis especially. In the division there and to really compete for a playoff spot I think this time the biggest thing I expect that training camp though is. There's going to be a lot of competition. It's going to be fair there's not these guys I think Dick Jauron really had his mind disguise this this guys that. And that's we're gonna leave Roscoe -- good very defied yet actually it is a good example. We're gonna see competition where you see a lot more heading. Where is he a lot more of -- conditioning type atmosphere and a physical atmosphere and I think that's a good thing for this organization for these guys who haven't had that under can't -- Jauron basically. Yeah last year obviously you know when there's a new coach that comes in. -- -- you would NFL franchise obviously that's gonna rejuvenate some of that older players obviously that's gonna rejuvenate some of the fans. It's might be rejuvenating the players but I. For the first time in since I've seen it -- well in its work inner workings I I. A lot of fans heard rotten about this season because they know it's pretty much gonna be a wash -- and I I think I think the biggest thing. More so than wins losses. I don't care about that this season and I know I should but I don't care about that I just wanna see progress that's the biggest thing I just won a seat. Them focusing and and develop some of their youth I wanna see them develop as a team and and get these schemes all all -- Douglas which is why. I I wasn't really all that up in arms about about their not being cornerback because they need to establish a culture there that's. One of the biggest things in foot and professional football what you need to do your coaching staff. Has to establish a culture and they have to establish a way that you approach the game the way to prepare for the game the way that you that you just rapid dive in and get out on the gridiron and how you play and and and what you're reads are from a played a plate races. It all establishes in that first year with the head coach and and if this is a do or die training -- protection -- might well. I'll I'll agree with you gonna take a step further not only you have to establish a culture it is -- winning culture it. What really bothers me about how this organization has really affected the psyche -- -- -- and I heard it I've read it online. I heard on networks -- in stations like this with callers even host. People I mean it's so infuriated when I hear people say things like well I hope we lose the last few games as -- fans so we get a better draft pick are you freaking kidding. That's not how you establish a winning culture you establish when he culture by winning trying to win every game and you don't. You have to have the mindset from Monday through Saturday that we are going to win on Sunday. Yeah you know what you can -- have you'll of the top five -- and that's better than having the number twenty. But they pick in the top twelve for the last ten years basically and where has it gotten them nowhere because that medal winning culture. A stabbed bush in that building around that organization. So I agree with you a 100% a winning culture is what has to be hat in that doesn't mean you have to win every week. But you have to tell everybody that you are striving to win every week and you're going to go out there and try to win every week and that -- object your object is not to. Get a better draft -- develop your young talent the days of -- over in the NFL folks and got to win now. Yeah absolutely and the numbers are 8030551888552. By the united -- with Kelly he felt about you and we are hosting sports talk Saturday talking about the bills. And can we release. Expect out of this team this year you know going back the whole culture that. As you side I mean patriots are prime example one -- analytical. The guy that to me is really the prime example recently. Is G Peyton third shot on statements are excusing them with a baseball player movement for Sean -- for for the states you know. It came and established just. Exactly you know what we're gonna high powered offense we have our quarterback we went out and got our quarterback. And this review this is exactly the type of game play eight we might have the best defense but wool bowl. Kill the offense and that will have the defense kind of play up to and that's what its policies. I think the biggest turning point for that team last season. Was when they were now now Redskins game early on in the season. Where I believe they have like some silly turnover. Debt and I think there's two fumbles and then. I believe. Was it it was Robert Meachem wide receiver for New Orleans. He did not give up on the plate he went back stripped the ball from the Redskins player rated down the end zone in the winning that game they go onto in the -- it's just things like that you established that mentality with your franchise with your team the players respond to that so that's why this this training camp this pre season is Paramount for Chan -- and the rest of -- group. Well I'll tell you what not only did jump to great example because not only did he establish a -- cult culture and org are on the field. I mean I get a -- Jeremy Shockey was very polarizing what he pulled in new York and things like that but no Khatami coming from the University of Miami to the giants to -- Shockey was. You know that man is all about winning he every time he sat on the put on the football field he wanted to win a football game big guys like that but. What they also did was. He made the saints realize how important they work to that community. He drew DG world you're -- around the Ninth Ward and things -- like that. In New Orleans and places have been affected by Katrina and he said you can make a difference this is why you're here you're here to win. For these people not only just by winning on the scoreboard but giving everything you have every day. That's the kind of culture that a -- a couple of these because let's face it. Bubbles a blue collar -- -- what the picked -- awful sports is and I've then I've been here for a long time I grew up in this area and I I was a season ticket holder. In the one thing the buffalo sports -- -- they don't say you have to win every game. But you better go out and give everything you have for this city and represent the front that Jersey. And that the logo on the helmet no matter what sport it is the best you can that's why people are so upset at guys like Willis McGahee. Eight as -- 15100 yards that's fine but he better show up and worked his butt off practiced and that at least the culture we're talking about here what Sean -- establish an oral. 8030551888552. Budget he goes of the numbers jump in on sports -- Saturday would be -- -- and he -- -- patch of going to the phones. Talking to -- New Jersey Al welcome to the program. I -- the on Obama. Big -- -- without -- for many years because as far as I'm concerned he's -- voice to the Buffalo Bills. -- -- on the Internet and and he's right here after the gains and this one big congratulations. And hope you have a good trip up there in buffalo. Hey thank you very much I appreciate appreciate your joining us here today I'm not to be GR as well. Right eight you know what I got it too well always security which I don't know what to do with it right now and and basically. I I was very excited. When he came to the team public wanted to listen when you said that he was covered in buffalo and of course he got to keep this city. But I'm one -- the -- who has so disappointed. Without fees and last year -- -- -- -- basically all along that very first game that first game against New England team we had to -- And we can't -- And throw it came up short. Part of -- and enacting net and you know we account well. If you can -- -- -- easy drop a couple of very crucial passes one yet but we -- no effort that. What ever but. That game we the Buffalo Bills and we're so excited we knew we had to get all the debt we had to beat New England that we can that we have progressed. We lost to New England. I've only cable pull all all my see I knew it was going to be one they'll -- -- even and -- -- the hype -- this year program. Here we go we are excited to come back with the same court is likely duplex. Haven't you deal with the -- that we have now under the quotes on the district Jean. My opinion is that this team cannot be any worse in the war because instantly -- an Al. The head coaching spot and the coaching staff has upgraded. In the roster did not get worse I mean you can't to a spot on this team that they and I guess you could say left tackle. But really what was there before right may be the -- line how could be the there's not one unit on this team that I don't that I think. Geiger best yeah so they have to be better right I don't let's -- translate to wins and losses are college Al's gonna do this Terrell -- Jersey my advice though is out. It's old CEO signs -- another team don't re throwing none of that stuff out here because you never know wouldn't. At the end of the day guys got to get paid and you never know when maybe buffalo gives them a phone call and says you -- -- back for three or four million. And you know I'd I think I think what -- is trying to establish just by -- just by talking about -- -- the New England game last year gatherers. There is a good amount of it's just letting up a little bit being ahead by that much that late but. It was also Tom Brady and and the patriots who ended up winning AFC east division and you also have Keith Ellison lining up in in covering the tight end -- and getting. -- -- abuse by Ben Watson on honoring panicked couple different occasions so. One of the one of the Dick Jauron staples it really aggravated me was how many times linebackers were in coverage against really good tight ends. In space she just can't Kawika Mitchell got a beautiful out here he's not a covered guy absolutely they can't do that in. It really infuriated me watching this as a coach -- coached the sport for over a decade -- the high school level I'll tell you what. As a coach you can see matchups on the field -- -- you know your favor. Switch and a darn defense yeah. I mean they they spent the legit -- Dick Jauron had a complete the he had yet -- penchant for taking quarterbacks when in doubt in the draft and so they really establish trying to develop their young cornerbacks like Reggie corner who has developed into a nice nickel type type of situation type of guy. Solely. And there on that occasion for great importance in there in the on the -- that we make album wasn't hurt he was a terrible out there. Why not have a quarter on on the play and maybe the will be smaller but he can stay with them. And and read his hands and when he's gonna go for the ball so it at that that's just go rehashing old foods bought. 8030551888552550. Gonna sneak it one more caller here talking islander. I delete your portrait of a typical comment. Hey good morning guys yeah outlaw what do they -- -- the -- quickly at the badly. Actually. I like the -- that it actually like it what it does tribal I'll probably. And people realize CNET dot don't want and technically Gary disposable -- bad day they get along very quickly another career. You ought to literally picked -- look at landing in New York the rights and you'll get -- like Kansas City lead paint and brought it back and had you know last year radically -- -- Flight without a draft the guy got comet -- -- like. Everybody wants for our running back now because they get into a career that you -- that and that's how you RJ got -- court but let's get. -- that deposition could you how real bad -- Island -- let me experiments not just the fact it what you're seeing people think that they. They hit the wall in -- trying to get a lot of running backs. Part of the reason is that lets look at how often does that change over the last ten years the spread offenses involved now. You're using a lot of guys to do a lot that the flex tight end the running exploding out. Basically what happened was. The zone defense which you know was so great early ninety's right dealers and Dick LeBeau in the mangled in the Steelers. The zone defense the offense the way they said you know we have to do something about this. They put more guys out as eligible receivers because that those linemen had to cover them and that's really what happened so you had a lot of guys going out picking up tight and -- it. Flex out he picked up running backs who could spread out a little bit. The spread offense was a direct counter to the zone defense and now you're seeing the countered that yeah which is the heist at the college is out on the street by three -- and you're putting more linebackers on the field instead of the climate. To spread out so I really think that's part of the game and -- I think islander -- -- gonna see you're gonna see -- trend back a little bit. Over the next several years in a more power game with some of these teams as opposed to what they've been doing last three years. He's out about -- I am jobless Dahlia this is sports stock Saturday here on WGR Sports Radio by fifty gonna get a sports update from Amanda and gave me right back you're talking bills football right here on WGR eleven point seven here on sports talk Saturday my name is Joe disguise it with me itself but GO. And we are hosting today talking about. The bills the state of the bill's stated the franchise. 803055188552. By fifty. Any topic about the bills you wanna bring up with this is an open forum today that's what I wanted to do today -- we left last segment talking about you know the culture of the team and and what what we can expect. And really it it started with the hiring of -- first buddy next. And then Chan Gailey and wanted to get your thoughts on the but he -- very. I like buddy -- because he is a football guy you know it's funny to me that. Yeah I guess you can never please everybody because the big thing around Buffalo Bills fans was. Or football guy just a football guy wanted that people still wanna complain that there is a lifelong football guy all I need to know about buddy nix was. When Marty Schottenheimer actually was on a serious NFL Radio One -- I'm driving and listening when they're asking about the hiring of a new head coach they had hired head coach yet. In Marty's response was well almost doesn't matter who they get because body's gonna find players because that's what but he does he finds players ever Marty Schottenheimer don't it's his buddy. No pun intended but I I think that's a really good content and it's true if you look back at his career he's always been able to find players one of the things that's. Gonna change about the culture of this organization. Is from what I was told. Just a couple of months ago -- knicks basically went to everybody in the organization. And said. Listen it's great the wanna be a part of what we're doing in you can go to practice if you want you -- give us your opinion but you don't need you you don't even need to go to practice because. Your football -- doesn't matter. -- run in the shell -- -- run the show folks there this is the gym buddy show this is no longer the Dick. -- let's get everybody's opinion pick out of a hat. Group anymore. And that's such an encouraging thing that your specially for this franchise especially a franchise in need of an identity and I -- I tell you what's up I loved. The buddy -- -- as soon as happened I mean it once. When they first announced and obviously the skepticism was there. But then I started thinking about it like okay what's his pedigree where was it. He was in San Diego that I compiled a list of who he had a hand -- obviously didn't pull the trigger any of any of these guys. But as as as someone in kind of the the second chair he he really had a hand in in saying okay well I really like this derelict -- got. With the with -- LaDainian Tomlinson Drew Brees Quentin Jammer. Reche Caldwell. Ben Leber who is the consistent linebacker now start for Minnesota. I'd written Florence -- played for buffalo -- loses solid nickel back for that and probably the most unheralded player last year yeah unsung hero last year I I would agree with that whole -- Philip Rivers. I think he's pretty got yet Igor Olshansky who added he Carr who -- my favorite nail in the NFL but also great player and then Nick Hardwick solid center for them -- -- -- who's one of -- better kickers in the week. Shaun Phillips whose turn into a starter. -- Michael Turner who signed a huge deal with Atlanta after being. Being great -- Shawne Merriman Shane Olivea starter for a couple years Luis Castillo who just solid report -- -- that the list just goes on it Vincent Jackson Darren Sproles Antonio from our market. -- It's unbelievable -- the talent in let me go back to what Marty Schottenheimer said. But he will find players yet. That's what buddy does I'll get on the pass on the Reche Caldwell one right I'll remember his -- -- in the AFC title I'm -- still perform video games he did and you know he actually when he does was -- with -- he has super boring and I remember correctly use only their of that one year and embrace and I need some new receivers. His approximately now to Andre. On direct vote against him down in Florida actually was a stud player but -- almost rather have Andre at this point but to -- Yeah -- I'll tell you what buddy -- -- players and that's what he does and that's what he's gonna do for the Buffalo Bills so. I don't think that you can really knock it CJ Spiller -- compared to. His record. -- you you can't because and I don't one parallel I try to draw an. It's the first pick of the sandy the new Sandia regular after the just completely hit the wall went happily they want one of fifteen year yeah. Their very first pick when they traded the first overall pick to Atlanta. Michael -- yet. It's back to number five and LaDainian town that's right buffalo bills' first pick in the buddy nick Sara CJ Spiller and who. Is this second pick it was the top pick the next round trooper Drew Brees and that's who they got as part of that -- you think they made out that deal up. They gave up the number one pick which turned out to be Michael Vick they got LaDainian Tomlinson and Drew Brees out of the pics -- I believe -- was part of that as one of the other -- they got. Obviously. The Keating with 2004 -- the reason -- 2001 but it. -- -- -- And obviously they had to wait a few years for Brees to really come to recent. But I mean once he got that competition side of the when -- draft bill rivers like okay I gotta go now that's right now so it I would say even get those guys the comment that say they have that competition level to say okay. My -- on the line this season I got up before. That's the kind of guys you want the surrounding roster that's the kind of people you want. Making up the majority are starting line because if if you don't. And you guys that just really don't care really don't give it all on every I've played a -- -- we have a caller -- talk about TO giving up a place. I -- it stated that wet when he was over the middle and just got alligator arms and then and then didn't go from the didn't go for the football what debt. That just -- at me. And and it if they need they need to really bring in guys itself that that -- can just take the ball and roll with it in two after you know and. Barbie from from -- actually give -- -- credit for anything because he's actually been one of the guys it's been here for the entire tenure of the debacle of the last decade. But let's be honest Russ Brandon had to take a step out of the football rule. To bring buddy nix and and he did that and I think that actually takes a great he got promotion he's the CEO and I'll of the team. But he actually had to take a step back from making -- Baltic decisions. To a football guy and and I think that has to be commended at some level because most guys wanna be involved in the every -- football decisions but like I said make no mistake about it. Bloody mix change really their run in the -- they don't want your opinion. I don't care where your office is I don't care what you -- work everyday I don't care what your title is but nobody Nixon making the calls on the players on this team. Like the impression 803055188552. By fifty those of the numbers jump -- on sports stocks edit with me -- Skelly and he's a compact -- And talk and the bills we also have a new web pull up on our on our website WGR by the it asks when do you think the bills will have a 500 record or better. The choices this season. That season in two years in three years or my favorite choice no -- Yeah you know they may not have one next year limit they may be zero and zero next to -- and have not have football in 2011 I can be the best choice that 00 maybe undefeated. At the end it entirely defeated by -- did bills won't lose -- six this year I think that's thereby we need to tell Leo well we'll have week not having to wallow in their misery. Of that the look forward to so if you wanna talk bills right now is the time to do it 8030 by 51808552550. Buddy nix. I mean. -- I I want it I I have to. Let me ask I brought up -- can you think of a unit on this team. That actually is worse right now and then they were at the end of the 09 season. It may be wide receiver okay that I think maybe wide receiver but if you and I I get because TO left. What you know you give a guy like maybe -- Steve Johnson gets on the field at frost or I believe you know it's funny I know I'm in the minority here right. I believe Roscoe Parrish really was not given a fair shot he has said he wasn't a fair shot but -- regime I agree with him. I would -- two years ago I know it's two years removed and I got to be honest Roscoe Parrish was the best football player on the field he was right I don't wear this wrap goes from the grass -- as a run good routes. He was running good routes he was getting separation you beating bigger quarters a red zone draw I watched he has great hands. I really believe the Jauron staff under utilized him because of his size. I think Roscoe parish needs a shot and I think -- and -- might give them a shot I think he could perform throws out he's not Wes Welker are gonna be west. They don't have that kind of an offense that dynamic they -- of the quarterback. But yes he can serve a purpose to do things that Josh Reed could not do you -- of the slot although we can't block obviously that's the -- it's gonna happen. The one word to describe Roscoe Parrish in the Dick Jauron -- with him. The front percent screens. Stupid little reverses. Everything they could put him in the wild -- for a couple plays. Yeah you remember well how about would you remember though when Mike Malarkey tried to haven't thrown casually cast in. Oh my goodness. That's what we've had to deal with involve ultra left Mike -- -- this compares to throw a pass with a cast on his aunt. 80305518885525. What ever bills topic you wanted to get off your chest you wanna talk about today on the sports stocks ended it with me -- -- and Fazio. Do what right now -- a trio by 5188. By fifty duplicate going to affect the -- talking to Lee in buffalo leave what's gonna. The regret excellently. Oh yeah glad you're on your body. Billy Billy. Well we're gonna go back to vote because we have another phone call Tom in north title -- -- Tom you're on the air. Gentlemen good -- today used them. I only talk about what you have to work I think the defense is going to be significantly worse -- -- -- -- that balancing. Scheme. I don't see many players on this Ross and there are ready this year playing 34 especially on that front line. Well it doesn't affect the secondary all that much I mean they can do anything and any scheme in the secondary. And we know the secondary is pretty good last year they were second only with total picks. I think that's a valid concern I I would agree with that -- wise I disagree I think they are Tom at least as good as they were last year on the defensive line. In line I guess -- Aaron -- not coming back and still not knowing what the -- Aaron Schobel is doing is welcome -- I mean -- at least -- like -- to tell the team what he's doing. But I think Tom brings up a bit concerned how the scheme changes going to affect the overall level performance. That's a pretty good concerning don't have a nose tackle a true nose tackle -- I think that's one of the biggest -- I like this -- troop. Knowing you're here from Florida you live down there should say I -- down there I know several coaches who coached with him in against him. In college who told me -- this kid's going to be pretty good he might be there right away. But he's a lot better than people believe when they just seem coming out of UCF. Yeah I've got potential that's -- the bills kind of when against the grain and acted out in the second round kind of shocks in people who -- for that sliding ought Terrence Cody is on the war in Alabama got. He's limited in what can do any any lazy Beardsley. So I I wasn't I was opposed to that whatsoever. What do you think about the 34 changes now I didn't of that yet I think that. That is probably the key the entire defense this season however. From everything I've read now who knows I know that NFL coaches have egos and they want to fit square pegs into round holes in their guys doing their thing I understand. But from everything that I've read. The defense is going to be flexible and they're going to be able to change and be honestly folks there's a little. -- old football -- 13443. Isn't all that different with what you do is put the outside linebacker upper back and put us in on the ground I'm really that's all you really have to do -- -- everybody down again it's not a big deal. So if they wanna stick to a strict three for sure but. They're flexible -- I. I I think they can do some different and you know what the pedigree of the new defensive coordinator George Edwards is what we leads me to believe that they're going to be flexible and that sort sort of nature. Who really study under right at the top when he was with Miami. Dom capers and that's not dom capers did a 34 sort of hybrid sort of deal with with Miami and then eventually it it certainly evolved to a full time 34 so that's. That's where he has the pedigree in in that nature and and that's like the keys ready for this positioned to do you drive trying to help the transition but. What area -- I'm really gonna look to be just because you brought up Schobel not is not gonna be there and even if he was at the outside linebacker position with coverage duties I don't know that he would enable the really really convert I mean Kelsey. Is. Not the -- -- I'll say -- but I mean Maybin should make the strides and they they brought in Reggie Torbor and if richest ore port starts I'm I don't know about Michael -- -- Well I think maven is really the key yeah if you could eat you have to use -- made any role similar to what they. Used. Date out in San Diego steroid merriment. Yeah you have to use him and that sort overall -- he's going to put those kinds of numbers up. But you have to let him do his thing to see what where he fits in as an athlete because if he can really get after the passer. And just get his hand on the ground several plays or whatever and and and get that first that don't he could be a big difference in this defense I don't know how it's gonna to a coverage of that is a pretty big question mark Byrne made. It is for all it -- and turns out that linebackers 8030550. 188552550. Talking state of the bill today the transport stocks edit my name is Joe this -- -- -- that you're gonna get. And what we can expect from the team to seize any sub topic you wanna talk about a book but the bills today. -- we're here for you today got gonna go to the phone stuck to Danny and Amber's Danny welcome to the show. Hey guys big fans -- thank you know. I I have a question actually -- jets fan but I if all goes well I'll always be. It was with the buildings and -- is this year I'm open for very competitive position now. I can see though I know paying it back to Miami is seemingly -- before it even starts. These cat goes to the bill I mean -- -- that in front of like that would help team and nothing else in but. He would definitely in the veteran leadership may be a better chance to see this year the indictment Robert Edwards of Patrick what do you guys think. Yeah you don't you know what Danny I think the bills are better served just stick with what they haven't you Chad Pennington has gone through. A few separate surgeries he's not he's third on the Miami depth chart right now behind Tyler Thigpen so I don't know if they wanna add another guy who has more question marks that he does answers so I I I I would stay away. Yeah the only reason the bills would bring in Chad Pennington would be to compete for starting job and I don't see that happening they just simply can't believe that the guys they have. Wouldn't be better than green Chad Pennington at this point with the arm surgeries that he had. With him being where he is right now and buried and that depth chart I can't see that possibly being an option for the bills. I can't see the agreement as a back up that would be probably the table quicker than a minute mr. -- that's that's not going to happen. It's interesting to see how this quarterback. Battle is going to what can we call a battle I mean really. Is battling you have -- basically some very average people going out it's more like kindergarten scrap this and that -- that's right it's it's. Picking who you want to be under team dot ball that's not exactly an idea that's at least favorite thing in the world like really cool. Is that. The least. Best option I -- wanna -- that. Well it's what we have the best of what we have is no never there -- they do evil that's right maybe what you're born evil what the old saying in football if you have two quarterbacks who have not yeah the bills have. Three maybe more so -- really am not a they have to they have negative view it absolutely -- that's or perhaps I'm not a math guy you know social studies but that's okay I'll be honest with the I think. Somebody's gonna step up their game a little bit this year I don't know if they can make a big enough job and it is -- -- -- that public Joe that would be a huge jump. And it's Elvis agree transition because we can get it right into the quarterback debate right now I mean debate I hate network because it's not a debate it's let's see who doesn't screw up more contest right -- it's. To me sell its gonna come down to two guys can come down Trent Edwards. And Brian -- I don't think Chan -- wants anything to do with Ryan Fitzpatrick in as the starter I'd hit me really do now if if I will be the most shocked person a year if I see Ryan Fitzpatrick a top that depth chart when July 20 ninth rolls around and they have their first training camp practice I will be. Floor but I think it really comes down to Brohm versus Edwards and whether he wants to go with experience or youth. While looking at the consider with this quarterback position I think the you have to read into what Sheehan said at a recent press conference after mini camp where everyone caller wrapped up and. He said okay I may have a pecking order but things changed right. Who UC lined up with the first team and they wanna training camp might not be the guy whose line up a listener and we want but I -- view it's gonna be Trent Edwards I think lined up. Under center they -- training camp. Does he hold that job because I really believe that Brian Brohm has the potential to make bigger gains in training camp what you're gonna get what Trent is what you're gonna get. No guy and and they know exactly what they're getting out of -- but. I think the thing that they're holding in the back of their mind. The public have -- tape from net initial start to that great season. Third the great start of the season I should say when they went 51 and and they go -- -- this this this and I managed it well okay. Or maybe doesn't throw for 300 yards but. He gets the ball receivers as I accuracy has a high percentage. Pass completion percentage so will will will see you we have there. To me -- -- I need I need change. Me change from what -- in -- -- I've -- it for what -- -- the past three seasons. To me I don't care if if he's ready. Robin I mean. I see what you have with this guy he was -- second round pick. I I I spoke with with I did an interview it is -- with a brief station in Green Bay just the other day and they -- well Madonna wannabe downtrodden what you do have a guy who could even make the Green Bay practice squad right it's it's like I'd be out by Flynn who came along after him in the death yet he -- it was a six rounds I think its fifth or sixth row area and and rob was the second -- that same year and he couldn't he couldn't stay on the active roster so. Keeping keeping that in mind. He still has the tools couple years removed. He would have been and he would have been in the talks for the number one pick overall -- -- as a junior. That's right but. Here here's here's a case study in how schemes and coaches can change. Do yourselves a favor of buying an Internet somewhere and you got access to it okay like you probably right now on their look at that you shouldn't look at what that means that. My Internet access somewhere go look at Brian Brohm statistics his junior year in college and then go look at his senior year in college. Everything was great except for two things were really different he threw weighed more interceptions his senior year. He was -- -- hack of a lot more senior year. But there was a variable that change between his junior senior -- absolutely and that is that Bobby Petrino left and Steve Craig -- formally Buffalo Bills quarterbacks coach by the way. Came a board member he was at Tulsa yet. Steve Craig source offense was a little different in did not give them the protection and asked him to make reads. That he was not being asked to make about Katrina schemes and yet he still threw for a lot of -- out he still threw a lot of completion the completion percentage of body art. But he turned the ball over more and he was sacked more because he had to make extra read you see that's how a coach in the scheme can change people. And that's what's -- and Brian Brohm Joe you have to be coached by Bobby Petrino. But by teaching it Gailey and maybe okay let's go get Bobby Petrino to coach and I am I making or start. Right that's and we don't have Bobby Petrino here you know there's there's also -- certain maturation process that you really need to consider I mean obviously. He was completely. The word is. He was lacking confidence agreement which is really what. He's he talked about it to us today in the media he lacked confidence agree today and then and then he's trying to get built himself back ups elected to -- -- that they thought it would get an opportunity and he just might. And you know what. From seeing what I see in practice obviously OTAs minicamp whatever it's not trinkets -- full pads. His his passes are incredibly crisp and I need and they are the best passes of of all the quarterbacks I see I mean in at. Ice by receiver so I I go well I I can help out when he's fitted windows and especially on the sideline he's very good along aside like so. I think I think Rahm kind of separated himself in that respect but still makes flops he still threw an interception in in the wrap up two to the mini camp that you. Joe don't you though. You get to a point where I I -- the point where. I say I'm tired of asking guys not to lose the game I'm tired of asking for game manager of the quarterback and yeah I -- guy who can win games by himself at some point. Now granted what goes along with that you could lose a game. The playoff quarterbacks of last year the only exception was Mark Sanchez really who advance in the playoffs -- -- of the quarterback they said. We're gonna women running even defense just don't lose the game what this horrible Drew Brees Peyton Manning. Brett Favre was in the title -- NFC title game. Kurt Warner was in the playoffs you know these are guys that could win football games with their arms that's what I want buffalo we haven't had its engines since Jim Kelly left fourteen years ago. Now we're gonna get more into this next segment were up against the -- actually for the break but 803055188. By 52 by fifty talking bills and their quarterback situation. And what the heck are they gonna do with that. Joba -- here without Apache up this is sports talk Saturday gonna get a sports update from Dan gave on the other side will be right -- -- WGR Sports Radio by Petit.
