That's the word that we is a motorcycle going community need to get out to the general public is you have to pay attention. Especially if you're gonna be turning left you gotta look twice for motorcyclist because that is the most common. Accident that we see -- and I went and that is seen across United States. Borne out by the statistics. LT what. Jeff how long how long have you been right. Governor -- and -- pictures of those players know. Yes you you've been out there are about twenty years writing in this action happy you're around eighteen year mark whatever. So and you probably road mini bikes and all the fun stuff prior dollar accurate so what I'm saying is. It's not like this gentleman -- did not have the experience is bulldogs set of being on the road and he was just offer any mean wonderful April wait for the big spring we finally probably in an -- dog nice to you said blue skies. On united. People just gotta pay attention to what's going on out there because you it was certainly. Bulldogs -- stated you know you worn out their discourse around you yourself for a leisurely nice our -- gave. I mean six saved your saved your life relief -- is what he ended up doing. And and net at I'd I'd love to know as much as you can tell us about. How the relationship over the course of two plus years now developed with the gentleman who helped you out of march. You know and and I general options and myself we've whoever become different Minnesota before Austin again we've become the sons Brothers in arms. -- situation. He saved my life and I don't know how to how do you repay somebody you know. Save your life you know and I told him and I continue to do so you know it measurement success with them. And we go all we do stuff the other you know on. Not as often -- -- as of late but you know what -- what disease you know busy he stuck to the scene of the accident when he stopped. It was like an Angel from god I mean he told me several times to offensive -- himself. You're so calm you know use Europe. Mobilizing every every change in there and your body that your failures a year or maintain and awareness film and a you know. He had his own issues going through he came up to mean. At the accidents in -- says -- I'm trained combat -- trained you know you're gonna be okay anyone's right to work you know. -- it's. Tell us a little bit about what happened after the accident the recovery process how long did -- -- Yet he obviously had to learn how to how to walk -- without -- your leg and bring us up to speed a little bit on it. You know I of these CMC for about thirty days when an Indy -- that -- a month. You know and as some bad infection and residual -- is on the stump and -- some. Good medication to fight the infection after got -- hospital. -- on come on crutches you know walking on the stairs one day and I fall through the wall off of Austin crutches and -- on. On my -- back him you know just humanoid pulp and might make cuts -- user and go look at -- fares on all along with -- might be heard and -- And I thought I might have permit stop don't think -- did you know photo blue hole for the law you know it was kind of funny. And non secured the same time you know but want to -- prosthetics them. On the of course or for physical therapy and physical rehab and did that for about three months. And when when I first got fitted for the eleventh and standing at an -- you know. -- jesus' is -- completely new you know. And and at the time -- a -- challenging sold difficult. Mentally -- -- it and know at that time if a is going to be able to do that. You know had a -- quotes quite some -- to have to work your way through wasn't him mentally it was it was draining physically it was it was quite a challenge and I needed to focus. On my walking ability. You know we take. Having to go limbs -- him forgo limbs. For granite -- -- person just walked on the street gauge themselves in conversation. You know hey how's your wife host -- what about the job you know Bono -- learn how to walk again. 100% of my focus on -- 10% of my focus. Head of beyond my actual walking ability. I really couldn't necessarily in -- somebody else. -- conversation. Flow is trying to learn how to walk with a prosthetic limb just because. They're really record that much attention much focus. You know. And at a -- about eight months of of convalescence. And learn how to walk in and gradually progressing. No matter crawl or walk you know learn how to pick myself up after a fall down you know stop that we take for granted you know everyday. And from what have been told ahead you know short convalescence beard went back to work after after months. You know so very regretful. And you also -- that time before the accident was going into a transition. You're gonna leave one job and start another correct. Correct giving I was public employed by US -- and more protection for seven years. And I was -- supposed to start a new job. With. ATF. One week later as an investigator -- you fire arms -- was industries. And the accident obviously. Resulting in -- -- and that job the following week. Problem however -- months later was contacted by him my agency and they often in the position. As long as -- improved to them and people doing the job. You know I do that more -- that's. And -- also like when you you know ten academy course for ETF and that and through that time they did offer you an option between conversation you and I have had prior to this. What was that an end and in you decided not take an offer but the stand your -- for your own and I think that's quite admiral. Quality you know I mean there's does that does a lot of rights we have there's a lot of laws and federal laws employers have to follow both agencies and private sector. Long lines of Americans with disabilities act and you know I could've. On utilized you know one of those rights and not necessary it has appeared in. For the physical laws engagement at the academy. I requested to be considered just like anybody else who's there for the academy to alert you go learn how to engagement in this engagement -- On them what you gotta do the books and Kabul times are filled on the classmates you know attracted me up or no you're right. The myself up no problem you know and had a lot to prove to myself more so probably than all the people who were there to prove. So. Now with where we're.
