In this is from 6 in the evening to 8 PM at saint -- again. Grades 78 and nine. In coach Mike -- who are two varsity soccer coaches. They have a bit of many many years of experience between them. There are they'll use some of their former players who come back to help out. And some of the us. Seniors coming up next year will be there to help also. And again you have to remember we have that large. Playing surface where. They have many nets and met many opportunities for the boys to be involved in the various skill drills and in the many games as they go through that we. Trust of the young soccer players it's so important to get out there. If you're right -- to learn how to push the ball with your laughed. -- the union so many people -- just -- on one way of kicking unit and soccer you'd have to be just go which it left as you are what you're right it's. It's interesting you -- it's. That. Not knowing an awful lot about the skills involved in the game but having watched the game more -- to do you know the number of years have been over at saint Joe's. You know -- the interesting things about the development of those skills is that once you really have the brain connections for the development of those skills it is easy to learn with the opposite what -- just a matter of practice. It is. You know your brain works like -- computers UPU unit and it just tells whatever muscles you want to operate. But just a matter of you know the young man -- young women you know we're out there playing the sports. Taking the time to kick with the opposite foot in order to learn to be able to do that. Yet to beat it's it's so it's from people they can soccer's an easy game. Learning how to trap with your head your chest -- league's. And be able to get the ball would cover for your going to use whether you're gonna pass it or you're gonna take a shot and that. It's tricky so it camps like this is so beneficial for young soccer players who make sure you get out there. And check that out wrestling camp will be held August 1 through the fourth. In the saint Joe's gym and this for all boys entering grades -- through the night. We have two different camps that. That we we had a camp for the younger boys earlier in the day and and the older boys later in the day. Caps could be run by Brad doubtful and we just selected Brad to replace Pete Kennedy who retired at the end of this past season. Brad Brad has been at saint Joes with. Coach Kennedy for a number of years read has also then our. Winter youth club wrestling coach for the past four years we we run is similar program during the winter months. For the younger boys who are interested in getting started right over at saint Joe's and -- been doing that he's an outstanding young instructor. He mis. Noses stuff very well and he's able to really communicate with the younger athletes so. And I guess no surprises to what they continue to do over it -- city honors. And it's. Bearing in mind and his team needs it's a lot different than Romeo we were recommending we were going to school. It seemed -- and they that the athletes. Are much more. Academically inclined and Warriors ago particular -- -- -- I don't know I'm a little but I had a piece now and who obviously and you only. Put back then it was either or you -- academic or you're athletic they were few and far between I mean that to see that there weren't any. Athletes who were. Academically. Talented should I say but it was beyond minority. In this day and age. It seems like the academic storms are -- also the ones that are successful athletically. And then obviously then bearing in mind and obviously city batters and possibly schools like. To average year and coach -- would probably have a heads up on some of the other schools especially in the girls. If you look at business first I believe it came out yesterday they ranked and I don't know if they only did -- public schools. Life and in this up and probably in the get into next week. In raking the sport's success and it's probably no surprise that the top ones are also top in education. So that's good point -- hutch tech wins that Georgetown cop. Against city honors. You know the baseball team make it to the final so brilliantly is going to be Georgetown to -- -- -- or off. Lancaster girl's losing OP boy he's losing Hamburg -- losing in the lacrosse that the world used to is it. No it's so things have kind of flip flopped and it seems like the playing field is leveled off a little bit as the competition has gotten so much better. And so much tougher for Orchard Park in Hamburg. Yeah and in the team that's got the winning streak now is a silver creek rights. The black knights and they've won three years and Hirono classy championship. In just four years according have a team the team was that your season was canceled four years ago for some conduct problems but they. They have the best chance all three of art teams that night we feel Clarence. In silver creeks or creek has the best chance of of going out -- -- but they're going up against opinion the court against Kenya and powerhouse. Power house for sure Britain but that this team is different or special and I have a feeling they're gonna win the game they played -- with ten guys a couple of years ago when it if they lost I remember that game. Sixteen to eleven or something along those lines through their first year bracket after loses splendid year they have the -- wasn't as they have the same team almost clear off freshman sophomore Specter so -- they got a real shot at winning that game. I don't think. Either one -- the other two have have a great chance but that's try to play the games you never know. And -- fields had an outstanding season we feel has has spread Thomas taken face offs and what a difference maker he was before before that game against Hamburg there was talk in the assistant coach crystals and and he said it you know. It's not our goaltenders that the expect we got to win some face offs to -- good he says he's legit. And the kid probably 185% of the face offs and game. And between Clarence. In wheat field they had the ball gain clearance literally. In this is no no exaggeration. They had the ball on 90% in the second half against Orchard Park Orchard Park hit one shot and goals local polls while the whole second half. They had no answer for -- there's one every faceoff. -- kidney -- -- was very very efficient and faceoff circle for where's he controlled the game. -- took a year on the ball great coaching -- -- Silverstein was the best coached game I've seen this year and it in any level. He he took the hero of the ball and and just didn't give Orchard Park a chance to score you can't square if you don't have the ball and it was amazing Orchard Park up five to two and after it. They lose 75 they got shut out the second half. And they just had no answer at all the coaching staff Orchard Park had no answer. Offensively against Clarence other than dodging from up top which is a tough way to score. To changing of the guard for sure class class they -- across I think. I thought that the thing is as surprised -- that necessarily. McLaren it's wanted to Orchard Park -- but if you told me before the game and Orchard Park -- all players is seven goals. And and sodas -- wheat field and he beat it debuted atop what's an east team the week before eleven and nine. And Hamburg is a great great great lacrosse programs are I was little surprised but. You know the they have this kid -- Bissell. A senior -- man and he's had issues academically. Staying eligible last couple years of a wonder we wise it was just it. In the -- -- -- Mike White he said no he's best kept secret around he's a great player. But he's you know -- -- for the coach of -- to really worked hard to keep an eligible this year has paid off for wheat field.
