What got -- started I'll look really my dad you know it it was that -- -- kinda bonded him and I Adelaide palette oh yeah you know Monty discussion -- nearly 2% should say to Becky you know my birthday and of course immediately I would bet there are room in you know look at baseball cards you'd have gone up and tired got you know -- But they -- baseball players and every. Every couple monsters so my dad let me -- you know baseball card show that would be around the area and be about it. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Maybe I would try to bank in you know in and get to guard. -- have so. -- really. Really got into it and I kind of stopped collecting. All my ballot I -- college and a year. -- Was very. Giddy and get in the first -- cards so I kind of sparked my interest. What do it right away and and I'm -- need gated peel me or how it very fortunate to deal autographed baseball cards and so. You have only been able don't want some of the cards and get out to my family and strand. -- -- -- -- got me back in the in the collect bears but these dreaded ran out of these cards like you know and not -- are. Very nice trying to tusk go with me here on the hobby on WGR. So what are some of your your best things are best autographs. On my best autograph. I think that I have right now. And it is a two hour -- day. World Series -- from the candidate Hillary the Longoria had the autocrat that battle. World Series patch on it. A graded Nolan Ryan rookie card Nolan -- probably the one person and I like the heavily. Just -- he did. I love watching them play on TV and I was as the one purse I want to emulate whenever Obama rounded. Though he was kind of warned card that I always try to collect it now that my. -- like these -- ramp up a little bit -- kind of the 1 that I am. Mature as a -- a question back up again. That is a great card Ryan is you would know of course. Want out of his era he's to me he's the top guy for collectors mean Ryan. Obviously also had a great career needless to say but there's something extra about him he also pitched for so long tube so a lot. Lot of kids at different at different times along the way would have been exposed and you know in a 42 year career something so maybe longer. So I'm really and that's what the one thing -- I'm getting back into collecting and been able to talk to some of these guys on Ryan's super collectors just. Listening to you know their -- hundred people showed me pictures of their collection just being able. Kind of share and make new friends over you know just one player you know intimate -- -- just talking about getting back into. In the being right now. Oh well how good is your rookie card. The Ryan. Integrated. A good grade eight right now I'm you know. It really good but it's -- that wanted to bash birthday present I ever. We expect an eight Ryan rookies very nice. You know it kind of hit and -- in Ahmad. I'm not quite sure I know that caddie shack. Is probably super collector in the terms. You know the player world and I think some people do extra actually with their own cards you know when they get released. You know sometimes the companies will give you if you your -- but obviously the war eagle -- autograph it. Or maybe that are the special hologram thing like that word on the market as well you know looking or because the card companies just don't. Kinda the promotional -- because that would take away you know from the -- -- so we're on the market look at it as well you know especially -- -- -- Com you know one on -- -- usually. And a outlooks or Omar are being wiped out -- I think in terms just kinda like and other players are really not quite sure but I know I know he's -- is the idea -- -- the -- like. I've heard that too and also a couple of guys I've had on the show Dmitri Young with a famously great. Hall of fame rookie card collection. Why one of the best in existence Brad Ziegler from the days ago these on the is really the Ziegler Diamondbacks maybe. -- he he's been on with me he is a big collector. Craig Rabach is another one although I think he might be out of baseball or at least as a player. So I like to find out about these guys that that are into it and of course you know the access you can have. Is so so excellent -- here you are in the Washington organization what better. Organization would there be to be in for four you know if you were collector right with Strasburg Bryce Harper. Oh absolutely I mean you know there as soon as their cards are coming out there are being carved out by -- people is that they got to see Derek. I'm almost you know -- value cards so bad -- being able to watch him play on the field and and also watching the value you know what their cars are stringing. Yeah what are your prospects this year Ryan you said you're open to make the big club. I'm you know mobile obviously got every that there -- baseball players streamed online -- in the year and AAA. Donna and Eric -- New York with death -- -- -- I'm very fortunate that the National League and I did and they'll like that it kind of workouts and things and and mark came situation choke. A regular I'm I'm actually gonna start again as Eric Houston. Oakley at the season goes the way I want it I hope that you know the national TV champ sometime and conduct well. The nationals look better than ever right. You know what they're they're just getting better you know hopefully that. Love it for the Yankees. The Yankees traded. Jesus Montero big catching prospect who did spend some time with them last year and to -- right. To the Mariners for Michael Pineda there was more to the deal but neither is just -- mean fears this guy right handed pitcher what do great pickup for the Yankees. I I won't I'm not on the inside when it's on not giving anything you can't get anywhere else by a lot of people. Love the straight for the Yankees to needed just huge upside for four for him. And Montero was you know a good prospect but not like a sure thing in most minds any thoughts on this Matthew. Well the biggest thing is Montero is that he can't catch so he was probably gonna end up being DH. Which the Yankees don't really need one they have a couple players who need that DH spot give Jeter days off giving -- days off -- and they really need to. Picks up the rotation the sky 67260. Amazing first half. Right second half he fell off a little bit but that happens with some young pitchers when they throw -- getting self huge talent. Yeah yeah I think I think overall. You're getting back something better than you giving away there because there's no guarantee if if Montero becomes a catcher. And he can hit thirty home runs then that's big value but he's a first baseman DH you can find those all over the place guys -- can hit thirty home -- Very sneaky good move by Cashman just an NC north saw it coming.
