We obviously although at this point Mario Williams the Nazis in town picked her up at the airport. All indications Jerry's gonna -- it. The day here in buffalo the -- probably over the next six or seven hours are gonna make their final push to him and his fiancee to convince them that. This is the best fit. For him. For the foreseeable future of his NFL career and so. What do we call this I guess you could call it the final push for the bills to try to convince him. This is the place to be. You know and then ultimately the ball falls in you know Mario -- court with his fiancee. You know I think it's important to Mario based on what some what Kyle Williams said on here this morning you know. Based on his conversations with him at dinner last night. Family. Is going to be a more important component of his NFL future now that he's getting -- -- lineup yet married this summer. So you know it's not just about him anymore it's about. You know his wife to be and who knows you know children in the future perhaps so these are all things -- lined up and I think that was interesting Kyle mentioned. You know to your guys this morning. That you know he wanted to know how. Players' wives get along and and families interact with one another during the season you know what when I go on the road. Is my -- going to be here Twitter -- thumbs on a weekend. Or is she gonna have you know some interaction with the other players wise I think these things are important to him. Obviously money is the number one surely but I think the bills. Have convinced him there ready to commit the money I think now what has to be delivered to him is. Can you convince me this is the best fit for me and my wife to be. Yet to speak to your point done that to mean sell -- let's talk about you treat a little bit ago that he's hearing that the bills players and wives are gonna me. Wife slash fiancee slash girlfriend will be meeting with. With Mario and his fiance and to do essentially what you were just lining out it is a huge life decision I mean this is. Probably going to be his last big contracts he ever signed so the U you have to. You have to almost sympathize with them that that that you need that type of time to make that sort of decision I think what's encouraging to me. Is that title divide that Kyle got from Mario is that the glitz and glamour. An NFL big market he's not with Mario Williams is after. You know this is a guy that you know comes from North Carolina -- you know not. Bright lights big cities down there didn't go to the hugest school when I NC state which is kind of mid level and major Ryan and I think rally you know rally Durham area is not all that unlike you know buffalo -- him. -- go to mid size city. You know it's not huge in terms of TV media market in you know all that stuff and he's gonna make it more than enough money. If he signs here where he doesn't have to worry about stuff like endorsements and you know make -- money on the side in other. You know taken other avenues to make more money I mean this is. Is a situation where financially he's going to be set now I think it's a lifestyle issue and -- he and his wife TP. The happy here for the long term because this is going to be a long term commitment. Now you've been here. A little longer than I have been in covering this team and have you ever seen. Anything quite like this with with this team I mean I know it it goes. It to you have to go way back because we haven't seen the seen anything like it in recent memory even the Derrick Dockery stuff wasn't well I'll that they. I mean I know some people might liken it to Terrell Owens jurors you know Russ Brandon. You know deep fly down to pick him up in a private jet and you know flew him back in you know he signed pretty quickly. You know their pursuit of him was impressive to him and you know it. We can all speculate Allen pressed Mario was but I think he knew it was going to be pretty hot ticket item from him -- that's that's marketed. That's probably where it's not the same as it was with Terrell Owens who has. Having a tough time. You know finding enough interest on the market a couple of years back. But you know maybe a price -- signing is similar to this kind of of action you know way back in 95 when. You know they got another pass rushing -- to line up opposite Bruce Smith after they've lost Cornelius Bennett. You know as the book and pass -- to him after all those years so. You know there are -- try I was trying to think in the position where it was you know position specific and I guess bright pop would probably come to mind is. You know the most. The most parallel type of site. Yeah and just just the money that's being tossed around -- I mean it's. From from what I've come to note this this organization has -- they just don't throw around that type I mean they gave Derrick Dockery the seven years -- -- of the 49 over seven years and and that was huge for them there was. It was something that really took a lot of people by surprise but this if they're willing to go fifteen to sixteen million a year which which might be the rumored. Rumor number. I mean day -- that that's a clear statement as to what they think of their roster right now. Right and I think that's where they have to go I mean you'd use if you're committed to making him the highest paid defensive players the way you've got -- clips that Julius Peppers deal signed a couple of years ago when Chicago. Where he's averaging fifteen quarter well you know you're two years removed from that now. And I think Europe into the sixteen maybe seventeen million -- territory and knowing how inflation works in the NFL there are out -- the inflation and I deal at the rate at -- path so you know I think he can get into that kind of stratosphere. But you know I think the bills are in position to do that I think what we all after memories. You know this new CBA agreement really helps the small market clubs. To be more competitive. On this kind of a free agent beating landscape and I think this year the first real year that of this new deal and is perhaps the time to really -- Throw your money at somebody more than ever and the timing works with where it appeals field the team -- in its progression from. A rebuilding club to a teammate Gil can contain in if you land a big fish like this it really does fall -- Into the conversation of being a perennial playoff content. Yet and I I do see exactly where common with from the CB standpoint mean. You have that -- it's not this year but the next you're gonna have that -- for the everybody's gonna have to get up -- no matter what. And that's why you're seeing the buccaneer spending so much right now they just spent on public money on on Vincent Jackson and Carl makes combined. And I and to a lesser extent Eric -- right Eric Wright as well so it it just seems like these smaller market teams I mean typically had what sixteen million in cap space. Before last season so. -- it just seems like it all these all these smaller teams are trying to finally get up there in this might be the bills that move. Yeah and so you know from what we understand they're going to be taken Mario his -- all the around the area. No doubt that we looking it neighborhoods note now that the who knows they may be looking at some some hunting spots out there that he can hit cities and uncertainties and avid hunter -- -- You know that kind of probably helped with Kyle -- at dinner last night I'll dot com Stan -- and in the offseason so they probably wrapped a little bit about that I'm sure.
