And he just cannot get rid of Bob wiley and he's trying to. Tried to appeal to his wife and kids. Please you've got to believe me. Sounding sarcastic about it sort of distracts from what my opinion is about this it's just funny that. That's the story right at what point is it not a story. When it is announced that the Darcy were gear in the bureau the back. 45 years 35 years what point will we just feel like. I don't think that's news. Not yet. And I think it's it's. Not surprising but it's pretty swift. For Ted black to do this right now. You know you'd you'd expect her to be this news conference first and look I mean I don't wanna be a broken record from the last couple days talking about about Lindy but. I wanted. There to be a process here. Because you have -- saying what he's saying and vanic -- sounds like you know -- he agrees that -- is harsh -- His comments were I'm used to it I'm not gonna make excuses about it it's nothing new. I wanted the sabres to. Goal. Talk to players. You know that that they wouldn't have done a little bit of that already or a lot of it. And just almost like an investigation. Into it. Just hollow right is that how abnormal is it for a coach to be this harsh as it. Normal with in the league -- mean a lot of this they would know. But I guess I just wanted to think that it was open for discussion. That if if Lindy Ruff not to ignore the -- your part of it I'm sure a lot of you will bring him into it and that's fine. Wanted to just be open for discussion. Open for consideration. That. It's not always the same year after year after year. If you decided that Lindy Ruff was a good coach in 2001. Does that mean he is the right coach for you for all time. Maybe it does maybe to -- it does I think again to -- asking Revere about this and he just. But I took no time at all just OK there we know we we've got we know we like their coach we know where liquor GM that's it the GM part. And at the risk of being repetitive. You know it's got the job though GM part of it does not bother me I think it makes sense. There there certainly have been times when it seemed that the organization. Could've used a new set of eyes running it. And I know a lot of you think that now is still one of those times or get one of those times I just don't I don't think right now. Is the right time for that I'd like. Where they are where they're going I think. I think they still need more. And I'm sure that's their plan. But I liked the trade deadline very much I liked this group of young players and their about a half dozen guys to be excited about. So. The GM is easily. The number one person deserving of credit for that and I don't want a farm. And in a couple of years they all flame out I don't of the farm system were traded -- by knicks are still haven't won for two more years. Then it's a different it's a different situation. I wouldn't I wouldn't change -- right now they have. There emotion I think I think the sabres are in motion with they're they're making a transition to be a bigger team. Little bit of a better team it's it's overdue. But it is happening and I think it's the wrong time for a a leadership change. First rough goes I just don't want players quitting on him. And if you know who your your players are. There are problems in this way and you think it's a small group of guys may be the plane would be too off flush them. I just think they're the coaches -- and then coach and GM and our team picture was brought up. Paul when will that be open for discussion and -- -- time -- at what point will it become. Some things that would be you know opened. -- consideration. Well I think the first thing the coach will always be here while the GM here. That does it that'll it'll never be open to consideration he -- as you said yourself he's told you he believes in them and always well. So as long as Lindy Ruff wants to be here tertiary here's the GM -- he's the court where might changes if you change the idea. And then you give PG. You know latitude to hire a coach he'd like to including Lindy -- You know and make it in his decision and that type that's probably the only scenario but. -- -- and stop having seasons where their injuries and that type of thing where. You know they they they say well if you look at our record without the injuries and look at our record with the injury so why would we change anything final -- while we play without injuries were very good team. And now we got to say earlier but I don't remember for sure. Maybe. Well I just don't like the feeling that these things are faded. I I think that there has always been. That we don't like the feeling that it's -- that it's predetermined your saying. That they could have lost every game from the end of January to the end. And not done any different here I think that's unsettling. You. Feel what I'm saying here. Yeah I do but you know with the amount of injuries they had. Whether it's right whether it's wrong that's the way capable fields. And a fan of fan I have to decide whether it's right or wrong in his mind or whatever but it -- ridiculous mind this season was lost on injuries. And I think -- I think he does understand the team needs to be improved because I think they did improve the team is as when they finally decided to make some moves. And I don't think they feel their dog. And you know I think carry the rule feels that way. But. He'll be you know I just I think he feels he has the right man in the right job and they're moving in the right direction. And do you agree with that by the way the right direction park where where they're going in the offseason we've talked about a lot but since it's come up what do you think. I'm very intrigued by it because I do think they've improved thirteen somewhat. I definitely don't think they're done I liked the fact that dark streak here I've spoken. A couple of times to me and I believed you. That you know he has these four draft picks which now I'm not mistaken her in the top 44 or maybe. That's for the top forty or so. What -- Calgary's second round and then their second round. Yeah I believe it's okay it's something like that for the top 44. And if you know and he has talked about using those -- assets. To improve the hockey club. And it's a deep drought so I don't know if you -- -- real wrong if you happen and he used the first two for the 21 round picks. But I certainly would love to see them. You know use those to get themselves up further in the drafting get themselves that dynamic player. But almost every team seems to have that win the Stanley Cup not every single team. I mean you can find exceptions. But a lot of teams that win the Stanley Cup have that dynamic player whether it's -- you know whether it's. Whatever maybe -- come want Crosby -- won -- Stanley Cup and Malkin was -- Q do you go back as far as love you when yarder and. One thing you could. You could you could say to describe these players is great players. Exactly and that's where you get them I mean you you you certainly can get them at number twelve in the draft it can happen. But it certainly has a lot better chance -- happening if your 12 or three. And that's where I'd like to see them get themselves and where they are almost a guaranteed. They get themselves honor if that's what they choose to do it and get themselves a player. And history recent history has told us the top players in the draft there are NHL ready. And ready to contribute. And the -- that's. I'd really like to see them do that so -- get somebody that might be a good NHL player and might feel very good at -- tell me they got Tyler Myers. Twelve -- 1213. -- live their culture around there yeah and you know I think he's going to be a very good player and first for years to come but. It's it's not certain when you get down there may be it is when you're in 12 -- three slice. I liked the fact that cursory -- talked about that and have it on his mind. And that certainly is a move I'd like to city.
