Last year Blaine Gabbert the quarterback from Missouri was drafted by Jacksonville. At pick ten. How's that working out so far Joseph is Aaron the jaguars going to be totally at him this year with -- on. They did signed Chad -- in the offseason so I don't know which they shouldn't have I don't know Alessio policies. Totally told me he's the number two I don't think he what he would have gone their -- if he knew that he was only going to be the number two I think you saw. -- ever have a weak start to his career and he's sitting there are saying okay well people's part of their pick up the pieces and sold. Gabbert did not look good at all at times he looked like a deer in the headlights. -- you know reprise nine but isn't. Isn't Jacksonville's. Entire season with the fact that obviously there's no Super Bowl aspirations of the jaguars this year is in Jacksonville season. Spending fall sixteen weeks figuring gobbling ever if Blaine Gabbert is it or not they could -- they could get it shall be it should be. It should be but you know and how NFL teams operate. If he has you know 34 bad weeks in a row. All the sudden you know that the boo birds really come out and and then all of a sudden -- and he's in the starting lineup and that would be a killer -- His progress in his career to try and overcome all those things -- be if he's ever going to be a great professional quarterback the I don't know that it. If you've ever seen a case where a guy just keeps. It like he's got to go -- within within the line at the he's either in or out in or out in or out. And I don't know that I've ever seen a quarterback be able to battle through that have you know a really great career after. Being high highly touted as the first round guy I mean you saw that with lost in with Kelly with Kelly Holcomb and and that is completely -- him -- You know it it -- certainly added to things because the bills were still kind of in this win now mentality. And it it really spoiled his progress even. I'm not even saying he would have had progress but you know you wanna give these guys a full season to his seat on if they can work through things because there's always after it was. Was ever its lack of progress even made worse by the fact that. Guys -- around him like ponder and others and and obviously Newton went much higher but. There are so many quarterbacks that were taken early last year and and many of them got on the field and actually. Had -- six locker looked good in very limited action ponder look good sometimes -- at other times you look like crap. And and who was the other obviously Newton Newton knew it well Newton played quite well I thought the person know -- -- -- it mightily but for the Dalton was the fifth when second round who at thirty clearly played very well -- the total. They're good with an anchor -- in the starting line and then having Bryant -- do his thing and come in on nickel situations and in covering the tight end so. There I understand. Fans want the linebacker here. He put up on a stat that Boston College he's probably gonna put -- a ton of tackles in the pros but is it going to be the guide it takes them to the next level. I think. If you have the Kirk Orson -- got combo obviously could stand upgrade Kirk Morse and bought. You know when you have a guy that that struggles as. As street Lawrence doesn't have the opportunity and a quarterback like that. You have an opportunity to taken off that the tackle finally solved that equation. I think you -- -- -- -- quickly compare him to somebody in -- what kind of a guy would -- be like a project I. And to be honest Al I can't stick. Question I I I really I -- like the whole comparison thing because he's his own player and and letting them -- it's a ton of tackles sure sure -- I mean it's not a guy that you take blood of lectures also five foot nine right like there's measurable their speed -- -- different variables I just. I doubt Luke Luke weakly to me is a very good instinctive player very speedy player. I haven't seen him get off blocks to -- time because he has had two -- always around the football that I mean. And they have their blocking specialist tight end and Lee Smith went when he comes back from injury he had a season ending injury last year they picked him up off waivers he was actually fifth round pick of the patriots. Last year in and they ended ended up cutting him. So I don't know that tight -- is necessarily. -- a draft need that they are looking. I think. Just with. Do we change he reshaped his offense you don't release seen many too tight end sets out there in the only times you do is win there's a lot of interest to the wide receiver group. I mean I remember a few times late in the late the end of the year when. I guess Chandler was out there with Mike Costin and -- and three other receivers and that's because the receiver worse soul hurt at that point in time. Outside of Stevie Johnson and David Nelson I mean there was even Stevie Johnson was battling through an injury at that point. Is it there there was not a lot of wide receivers out there that that could be depended on in terms of staying healthy cell. It that was really the only time my sought to tight -- set out there at once. So I don't know that they would necessarily go for Kobe cleaner I think they would be better off taking wide receiver for them. I like how the bills that used a lot of their multiple formations to try to create mismatches -- we sought with Spiller now. There was some times were Spiller was line at a wide receivers that they had nobody healthy but when you are able to get Spiller lined up out wide. And on a linebacker where he can take advantage and that's great they've sometimes they line -- Chandler netstat we saw the patriots do so much where they line up. Aaron Hernandez and a wide receiver spot but -- they end up having it either put their nickel back or their safety on him and it's still a mismatch in. Brady clearly was able to take advantage or if you saw with the patriots they'd. In what -- you're gonna go put a corner on Hernandez that means you -- linebacker on gronkowski which was a disastrous match up so. If the bills can do that with Spiller or Chandler and figure out ways to do that because we know the bills like. Multiple. Formations in terms of wide receivers and how they get him in and out for wide five wide which sometimes really three wide receivers Chandler and Spiller. I'm OK with it as as I said before to start the -- Chan -- finds ways to figure out what are the skill set of my guys that I have. What's the best ways to get them to utilize them and that's one thing that I definitely respect about what he at least on as opposed to. The entire set -- offensive coaches that we've had with his bills and definitely you highlight. The good of your players you don't just to try and force the force a square to a round peg a square peg into a round hole it's is just. It's insane at some points and frustrating because you know there's there's a certain amount of stubborn as that goes into it but. In a chain -- is now one of those guys he tries to highlight the good of all players and and you you hear him say that a lot mussina on the field. Putting these guys in the optimal situation. So if you could you can get their second and give them your sep 71 pick so that way you have you know three picks with the in the top 46 -- in the top 51. Rather than three picks with in the top 71 that that would be the ideal way to go to a from ten to fifteen. Minnesota needs a corner NC wealth status Saint Louis at six Jacksonville at seven. Carolina at nine. Buffalo at ten all of these teams that's five out of topped any cornerback. So you can make the case that that you more might not be there he could go to Jacksonville seven need to go to Carolina at night. So with that being the case there's still a third option out there. In terms of Dre Kirkpatrick from Alabama. Now I I probably would end up saying Gilmore would get drafted ahead of Kirkpatrick then just based on the fact that of the clean record and -- -- Kirkpatrick judgment could come -- question for some teams with the with the flow arrest he was charged and then the charges were dropped for reform for marijuana I believe. And he you know they're still a judgment factor that teams had talked to about and heat. He checked in a bit slower at the count -- that the -- -- did may be guild wars a bit more polished and in the you know impressive line of scrimmage so it's it's a lot of different factors you have to -- but. I still think if the bills were. They had to quote settle for Kirkpatrick -- -- -- a pretty good color. And Kirkpatrick we know they would feel good about coming in from Alabama our picture not only with the diaries of David male bodies of course loves. The Alabama and they run and at a LT and who won at Alabama if you Watson defense last year.
