He's squeezing NFL draft central when showbiz Kelly and Brian goes CEO on the official voice of the Buffalo Bills WGR. Sports Radio 550. Brought -- you and partly due to a college junior college educated for life my helmet liquor what's your outlet and my buffalo men's health medical practice. Good evening everyone welcome to another edition of WGR's draft central I'd sell -- -- along with Joba scale yeah. The third member of our draft central team -- you had a prior commitment tonight so he will not be able to join us but. Just the -- we are here to answer all of your draft questions and talk about the upcoming NFL draft which by the way. Is less than a week away. That's right next week Thursday it all gets started in New York City the Buffalo Bills with the tenth overall draft pick in 2012. A lot been written a lot's been said. In your calls and your question in your tweets and your text again here tonight we've been doing all we -- WGR is draft -- -- -- missed anything we've had. Throughout the last four -- you can check in our audio vault but tonight promises to be more of the same. And a lot more new stuff we jobless Kelly Jo welcome it again and great job this more a year really get not. No sleep lately -- morning show last few days you've been here the last few nights but great job by you breaking down a lot of lot of stuff in a lot more coming your way tonight. Out thank you always look forward talking draft you know even in between the morning show today and in here tonight. I went over to the old high school and good tools they've Francis and so this really was -- -- strapped club like Muster I thought you got a joke I think it's legit. It's little like I went and talked to him for an hour and a half. -- -- -- -- -- we're talking about your they may not may have missed the morning jab by mile mile high my high schools in France as well they have a mock draft club in the and they asked me to come speak to him. And and -- we. Talk football for an hour and a -- like really inspiration for this club music because I -- -- -- that I don't think that I think that's -- like three or four years ago but pretty -- but the guy is it was critical the second time -- talk to them in the past few years and and now it's it's pretty cool they'll have their own separate big boards and and everything like that it was in other how many jealously and it's -- it was really policy. And speaking of talking -- people this morning you also talk with Dre Kirkpatrick the -- cornerback. Out of Alabama we'll get your thoughts on him in just a second if you -- chime in here tonight don't wanna throw the phone numbers out. 8030550. Or if you're not local you're listening somewhere online in this world. Because we are worldwide of course it WGR 550 dot com on your iPhone at three android app you can calls also at 88550. To 550. Also if you -- China on Twitter maybe you just can't pick up the phone tonight you're not really the kind of person who likes to talk. On the radio that's okay we can get your tweets use the hash tag that's the number sign. Hash tag WGR draft central all one word if you throw that out there and ask your question -- give your comment. I'll check on that. And I'll throw it Joe's way or we'll just have a comment about what your commenting on also of course as always our text line is open by 5550 to jump on the phone lines right now. Before we get to your calls I wanna hear from Joseph about his visit would drinker Patrick via telephone today Joey did talk with the young man at the first time you -- but -- -- It's yeah I I thought he came off pretty well you know. Kirkpatrick just seem like a humble type type of guy who is eager to learn and the thing that -- that really stuck out most to me today say Al. Was when he was talking about his visit and and when the bills put him on the board and -- that. He had the schemes were so similar between what he did an Alabama. -- and the terminology is so similar that when they put him on the board. They were what he called it amazed that he picked it up as quickly as he did. So I mean that sort of thing lends to. When it went buddy nix was on with us on Thursday said you know if you when you get the guy on the board that's that's really important part to a visit. And so if that went well. You know that that leads me to believe that they would really like to see. This relationship go go further if if and when he's available or if if someone like Stephon Gilmore is not available in drinker -- is still on the board so. That those are some of -- I thought he came off very well and you know very humble guy you know. Very low key type of guy that it's just -- to work and so it. It's tough to come across a certain way in those pre draft interviews because a lot of them are descriptive but it seemed like he was being used being genuine in real in that interview. You were at the draft luncheon a couple of days ago I was able to listen to it so you tell me if you've got a -- oppression from the body language not just the audio. When asked about -- Kirkpatrick arrest in when asked about George Jenkins problems it seemed to me that buddy -- kind of basically said that you know what. We're cool with what happened with Kirkpatrick we investigated it. That's the kind of feeling I got -- Jenkins he pretty much said this guy is an issue he's a problem that's not something we're really interest that Acker. Patrick he said that on Thursday with us he never addressed it okay that's what it was in its entirety at the draft luncheon but Jenkins. He said I'm gonna give him politically correct -- us and you know if he's willing to go on a limb and say he -- streaker Patrick and chalk it up to you know being young and and having a bad bad judgment call on one occasion and are being peer pressured in the things. I think that it's a pretty strong indicator that they have widget interest in him. But on the flip side -- Jenkins when he -- -- brought up it was kind of hey I really wanna get out of the question right now in so urgently seemed as though the world that. Impressed with what they found on Norton's Joseph I was looking at your mock draft some of the mock -- today around the Internet and boy oh boy the Alabama Crimson Tide really have a chance to have on big time first round I mean. I have to go back and look I know the Richardson Kirkpatrick -- our hour and a bunch of -- -- -- you they could have the record here maybe this a lot of first rounder is a possibility that they're gonna and the four I think Upshaw hightower Kirkpatrick in Richardson. Amazing is there and then there's other guys get drafted beyond them or shirt daequan -- he will probably get drafted he's the quarter slash safety for you from that defense. Josh Chapman the defensive linemen will likely get drafted William block shows the senator will also get a look. Marquis maze the wide receiver we'll also get a lock -- I mean those are more late round guys but. They certainly have a whole lot of pieces that are going to be coming through the NFL this year at least at the release training camp. We had a tax -- we've had this question before about local products is really nobody -- local local it's probably going to be. Well I guess there is he the guy that could possibly get drafted is that correct. Yet Dovonte Shannon but. I would. And did not think I think -- who get -- camp invite but Lenovo Canada but address the most local obviously the Syracuse Chandler Jones does have a chance to go in the first round. But Joseph is he more of a I guess after the name up there -- a -- who we know here who went from block of one who was a work out guy you know. Number well I shot the draft boards right before the draft because of his column buying it because of his work out his forty time is expressed. Is that or look at which Taylor -- does he really guy that can make an impact in FL. I don't know of that that again you know -- sell it never really get all of that hi I'm on the right. After watching his measurable look great all right measure bulls look great I mean come by and shorts great. You know it's it's that day. But that the matter fact is when you see him just. And a kind of failed to get off blockers. And consistently. Except for the West Virginia game I know we had a couple other -- -- get wanna get you can't. And -- he had five sacks total with six games played last year. But. I think. Just watching him. I never really got the impression that this guy would be a dominant player at the next level. A lot of people are likening him to Jason Pierre Paul because the body size I don't think -- he also missed a lot of time last year -- yeah he he only played six games because of an injury I believe. So. People are comparing him to JPP and I think that's been -- -- their they're two different players and I think Jim Jones is gonna need a bit of a learning curve to it to get there in the NFL. But sorted Jason Pierre Paul to legacy he had to take a year to really establish himself so. I would struggled suspend the first round pick on him if it were me but you know it you someone's looks like someone's gonna take a chance on animal and the first round. A -- your nightly or Mazar get out of the way your nightly look equally and governor Castro questions -- they come a couple of Twitter already. Seriously though thanks to Adam POV who says why don't talk about weekly at ten what we have talked about it there has been talk about that but. The year of the mind -- he's just not the right necessary fit it was a great tell. Alan is that correct. Yeah at first I wanna save some remind me I forgot about mark parent completely forgot about marker from from Alabama. The key equally to me. I think he would. Fit the bills had if he were to be drafted their but I just don't think the few linebacker. As a pressing need as much as they do quarterback. When you hear -- exe on our station that. That the most important the hardest position player on defense is a quarter. Then it's a pretty good indication about how high up on the latter they view that position but draft one in the second round last year they know Florence is going to be around forever they know -- is close to being done. They know Mckelvin is gone after this year so. They just leads me to believe that. The cornerback would probably be the play in the first round and then maybe look to try and pick up a linebacker in the -- -- key equally. Is is an impressive talent. I wanna see him you know get off blocks more than more than he did at Boston College that's that's the biggest thing for me in the end. And once you go from there until where does he play in the NFL -- if I had -- I should say he he wouldn't. Take over Kelvin Sheppard -- Kelvin shot now they want Kelvin Sheppard and the second choice would be the whale and Anthony's and that's taken up by Nick Barnett. Third choice to be the Sam but he's never really had to do that before so I. I'm skeptical about. Weekly coming to buffalo I'm not saying it won't happen but. I'm fairly skeptical in and I think quarterback or offensive tackle would be more realistic options for the first round you know. And then people talk about well if you draft for need. -- always been of the mindset that. If you draft for need. You're probably gonna have more of a chance to get Abbas that he can strap best available player because that best available player at least the very least. He may not start for that year but he's gonna help you down the road the drafting for need your -- you may take a guy at ten that you have -- at twenty year 23 and. I don't think that's a very good idea. And I guess alliance say that is because you're not really gonna draft. You -- Hickel rice with quarterly Craig -- they might they would probably do that they really want a linebacker that might be some vehicle -- Linebackers tend to fall in the draft I think you're gonna -- to get taken you know to. If no normal linebackers now pass rushing linebacker you're gonna see -- McLellan they're gonna call -- linebacker but is now linebacker he's he's going to be a pass rusher in the NFL. You're probably gonna -- Q linebackers taken the first round -- clean high tower. I know from from reading all over the web that the Seattle Seahawks are in love with Donta hightower. And in so Mikey and of going before key equally may be it could happen if if see elkington can trade down I think linebackers one of those positions. It's a very easy transition because it's a very stats -- transition and and it. Any can end up fooling some people from time to time I mean Posluszny when he first got the starting lineup. After his first year everybody was all board because he had these big -- tackle statistics when he actually was able to play a four year. And and then as the years kind of wore on you kind of saw exactly what you're getting with Posluszny in the honeymoon is over you're seeing a while he's getting tackles. Seven yards down the field I mean he's not really penetrating or anything like that so. I'm not saying that's what technically is going to do -- say but. When you have other linebackers be able to come in in in later rounds and still be. Maybe not as impact full -- still have an impact me Kelvin Sheppard was the third -- -- now he's their starting Mike foreseeable future. So when you have that kind of justification policy on. On linebackers as a whole and I think that would tend to drop them down in terms of value position. Yeah I agree we're gonna get your phone lines just a second we want to call 8030 by fifty would you have open phone lines. That's 8030550. Or 888552. By fifty we do knowledge no they didn't need passports tonight John Minko -- produce and sell. We are here for you -- draft central on WGR Sports Radio 550 I'm south of pot GO. He's -- -- of course. On Twitter hash tag WGR draft central will start off right there -- we got a question coming in from Mike in Spokane Washington thanks a lot for joining us all the way out west Mike asked. Well -- Minute round wide receivers let's talk what the guys are gonna go first second or third round. After like the fourth round give us some names that could be around that -- -- A lot about that could fit that bill may be a Marvin -- not from Iowa is is a -- that could fit in there I talked about Terrelle Robinson -- from Arizona State he's a guy I like a bunch. Did these are just the bigger type of receivers Greg Childs from Arkansas he came off -- big injury but before the injury he looked like a legit player. But terrible com by -- you know Childs. He he ran better at his pro day but. When he in pass catching drills you just really really struggled there and and really look like he he lacked the explosion he once had an Arkansas it's kind of a sad story because he probably wouldn't first round pick. So there are some guys they -- nick -- maybe. Might fall down of that range but I think he'll probably go and third to fourth area they're slot guys do with your interest in those being DeVon -- from Fresno state if someone I'm enamored by. He is I think he has opponent credential and he. When I talked to met in Indianapolis. I asked him how often he heard the name Wes Welker when they brought up himself he's like all. Time for three to speed slot guy for Fresno state pro style offense and and you know has the same to everybody wants the speed guy has has the same type of route running ability and it may be not as polished and and could stand to you know be more impact full but. DeVon Wylie Timmy is a guy that is is alleged TJ Graham from NC state you detracted it was also receiver. Of their so there's some guys out there that will be. It's a very -- class. Always a possibility of wide receiver and a middle rounds specially after listening to buddy next here and heavy GR this week and of course at the draft luncheon earlier in the week. Tonight we also will keep you updated on the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. To Philadelphia and Pittsburgh just getting set to drop the puck Detroit and Nashville tonight let's go out to our first call -- comes to us from Williams bill it's Chad Chad you're up on draft central go ahead. I what do you think about them -- know. Getting up lightly grease the tackle from Iowa -- that one quarterback in the mid round from. Arizona State there was that six I can't think the name. -- Now brought us well there aren't I'll talk about reef. I think grief at this point might be ruled out. Be to be honest why just because position player Y which. They didn't react all that strongly about him when he came up in L. Maybe not even by listening to it back but it's just kind of the feel you got when you're watching them into the question. You know kind of waiting and insane. While you know you would probably try about a laugh because it's easier to start him off the Latin and put him to -- rather than going from right to life. To me that's not really exactly now I agree I agree and stuck out to me as well he didn't visit here which isn't the final. Determining factor by any stretch but if it does play a part for me. The reef. I think is better -- over at the right tackle spot. And and some people even humor as a guard I I think that he'll make some team happy over on that side I think ten is probably too early pick and I think the bills believe in courting the land in Jonathan Martin before that you rightly reef. Well when he talked about -- -- I think it back in January or February it seemed like maybe that was the target. They've kind of shifted focus it seems to me from. The smoke signals I guess -- -- -- maybe the immediate dated and shift their focus may be we just didn't have our view insurance until until around now but or maybe it do you think -- As far as maybe they were higher on some of these guys that now they're not sure that they acted. Absolutely happen it's a long process and their borders and set until next week that they've set as much. So I understand that it may -- he could have fluctuated a bunch but now it's looking like it's coming into view that it's going to be. One of four guys with the potential I think the most probable probable cases that they end up going corner is mentally ill. Much to the franchise tackle or he is the best of the bunch yes -- a protest -- -- he is a franchise -- -- watching him. Pullout. And in front of runners and they -- greens. I mean if you see you saw Joseph Staley do it for the 49ers in the playoffs just a big strong fast guy that goes out crushes people -- the same thing. And so consistent pass protection very good at giving initial launch it and run blocking I mean it's just. He is a franchise left tackle and I think he is going to be a very good pro for their long time phone. I -- light up we'll get to all your calls in the next segment in the meantime Dan -- has sports John Minko still producing -- -- of pot -- he's Joba Skelly and this is WGR draft central. And I aimed problems alive list. Those first day he first did leave they'll be -- We will double -- he's got a bit -- profit. I've looked at. They'll look to maybe -- -- two -- regular they're getting Saturday he was already built a big part of what I'm almost. Go much he's just so we -- -- if I don't work we'll put it and -- do little work out. And -- -- draft -- presented by the you'll how do you -- College educating for life. And also brought you in part by outlet liquor what's your outlet and by buffalo man himself practice your ED Andy's. That was street -- Patrick. On with Joba Skelly and Howard Simon this morning -- to -- your Sports Radio -- that the -- there he was talking about his conversations with Marcel Darius about would be like to play. In Western New York if the bills were select him with the number ten overall draft pick or you know trade and select him. Somewhere else which is always possible we'll get to that in just a little while with -- and sell -- you welcome back to the program we rate up to the phone lines right now but in the east side but you're on WGR stress center. Good evening a pretty. -- just space real quick on to potentially. Our number one it's -- little -- -- you know before free agency came. -- -- -- -- -- And that was our goal number one number two is. If we're gonna do that they say they're out to the best player available that would be the best thing to do. While unless that players like a running back I think yeah. Well -- at all this feature -- -- -- that you got in Ohio you were hired someone else. And we are fortunate -- -- -- -- saying I'll take them anyway you know I mean but at the same time you know and escaped without speaking about it in New York Giants defense of our. You know you basically to -- it bears don't practice situations you want to go into the best he could have been at commodity in years not -- -- you know and I mean. Quick call in years. In years. You don't don't over exaggerate. I think about everything -- I am thinking about it is not the best the president to come out in years clutch -- -- Koppel -- you said years. Okay what did you -- -- that it but I mean art network a couple of years okay and it got it appeared Julius Peppers. -- he's compared Julius Peppers because they went to the same school -- not the same player and I. The pixel exceptional and that he has a lack of motivation that's only -- -- but like well what we talked earlier say if you trust it's trust you. You know army indeed trust the guy. You know -- forgot we got what people say. And understated will quit cobol this guy with what we probably have -- -- and be a great addition that long would not be able to tackle corporate messages stay here. And also but butch if they do they do -- a younger pass -- at some point the strapping me. Mario Williams -- in his sixth year he's in his primary now marking Anderson you know they have some younger guys they do wanna get younger but I don't know Joseph I mean. As far as -- Colin callables he's really in public -- obviously. What is from what they said at the NFL come by and when when they're talking with me. Is that they're not going to reach for a pass for for just because they need to pass rusher. That signals to me that they don't really believe in the top tier pass -- is all that much. And you could see you potentially see this is a great pass rush draft that now at the top in the middle jerk but not at the top and I just don't know -- you can justify. Saying all those things and then. And then coming out and and going in drafting -- and -- when you have bigger needs bigger fish to fry in terms of what what you can address and not to mention. I think Stephon Gilmore in and drinker Patrick might just be better prospects as a whole they don't have the questions that that comes with hopefuls when does he want to be motivated. I mean you heard Mike media access. He wouldn't take him in the first round he wouldn't even taken in the second round that's how poorly made -- felt he played an hour and go to that extreme. But I thought I did see some flashes from time to time but it was like it was on his time. If he'd look good at the Senior Bowl. But it's because he had to look at the senior apple. What is the motivation with this guy the the issue global sector. You look at his -- butch for example people who love him. The only really think about the upside the only think about what they saw it was great from him but there is a big downside to this -- if you get it wrong. Especially at ten that really set you back. Yeah and for just for that -- mean. They did sign the two guys that absolutely rest of the guys this. Porter. Go for the -- go for the office of tackle whichever. Of those four guys you feel is the best and by the way there is no way they take -- -- certificates and now -- in and that's no one point dance you know it happens and there's no chance he actually gets the tent. But if it ever did happen now I don't think. They're taking him. They're fielding calls at that point for somebody who's going to take -- yet that they're not going to draft him. That would be -- if they took him like. If there's one position. Obama talk about this violent sports talk Saturday when my questions if there's one position that they they drafted. That would make you just absolutely pull your hair out scream and start shattering things throughout your house I think it would be running back -- -- -- for me it would. -- running back would be up there. What's the maybe taking a safety at this point I think I think would qualify as well. Not much else though not much else elected I could sit here and justify a lot of other -- and while tight end with with this current group. That that is available maybe maybe that would be and equally as there are fewer positions with that question as it. A -- in the past sharp. Sure yeah you know and so. I I I think they'll end up taking a guy who will him and maybe not immediately impact it will impact within the first few games. If they end up taking a corner I think he'll be in their nickel situations -- the taken off but to tackle. Then pierced ends up shortly each which. For those of you haven't heard a lot of what we've been talked about throughout the week. Maybe your weekend Lister don't worry -- and in studio with me tomorrow we're extending sports -- normally only go 202 PM at sports talks Saturday were going to three tomorrow. That's because -- -- -- be kind of come join me in the studio for all of you Saturday listeners you'll get a chance to call actually your question promised to be more rested. Are right there are religiously that's why we have honest you'll at a you know we don't want a -- 7 AM -- at 2 o'clock but. Definitely do that if you are around tomorrow you wanna get some more of GO some more -- billion project by the way. This show they show continues next week Monday Tuesday Wednesday we'll be back here again 79 and WG Billy. Billy -- in court in Europe to be your stress center it. They guys sure are remote and I wanna do -- here in amounts to a two that's accurate accurate that we have a possibility -- -- -- -- Our -- and shut up. I had a bright quicker quicker I'll show on Jeff for. Well Jeffrey to me would probably be the more -- of the two at this point just because he's played in at the elite level of competition play went up against them. Solid cornerbacks and and went up against the Claiborne and in the Jenkins when he Wasilla Florida. The Kirkpatrick of the world -- Jeffrey is a guy. Who is exactly what buddy nix is describing when he says we need a guy that can go up and be open even when he's not open. And the good thing about Jeffrey is that he can do that but the bad thing about Jeffrey is that he he's not that great getting separation. Not very good burst off the line up very deceptive bit in his routes but still a talented pass catcher could go up and get the ball and and lesbian night may matchup nightmare for some teams so. I think Jaffray would probably be the better of the two picks. But what happened in the Joseph he was going into this year there's some questions about his weight and and whether or not he ballooned it up in the year he got it down for the -- -- -- he waited to sixteen. But there and there were some reports that saying he was up at 235 to more during the season which is. Pretty heavy for receiver so. I think Al -- Jeffrey the case of him being such a good sophomore season -- and 88 catches over 15100 yards nine touchdowns he was dominant he was dominant in. You know it's just one of those things that sounds like was Mike Williams wide receiver from you again a few years ago he did the same thing. Couldn't say off the junk food ballooned up really -- he really was -- a tight anything coming out of high school. Who became a wide receiver and that's what happened to him as well and that's why he really was able stick in the -- Jaffray worries me because of like -- said the burst. Off line of scrimmage and you know the route running is it it needs to be harnessed at this point. For him to really get that edge in the NFL because he won't be able to just go up and get any jump ball. Because the NFL athletes way better than you would find in the SEC obviously and and eat you really have to work hard at it to be successful successful in the league so Jeffries got some work ahead of him but I think he. He might -- in a batter of a prospect at this point that Brian quick who would probably take a year or two to develop along. We do have open phone -- a jump bottom right now we'll get to your questions but next up is David who's down the sunshine state of Florida guide David. There I don't. I've bled red white blue -- for all my life and I saw him down here patent all the there. Well good for you I just came back from down there and I know the feeling David what's your question. I is part except well yeah you Celtics easily help these radio. The radio. And I hate that I also believe that I. I don't you -- reprising it really really good. They got C must that he must have been on alligator Alley right there was an a cellphone recent reception let's talk about the bills running back situation OK okay so. You do want a little more depth behind Freddie behind CJ. They haven't you had Johnny white they have Tashard Choice again have Tashard Choice right to both those guys should be in camp is this an area that you still might wanna pick a guy up. Through the draft is to push those guys in competition may be late round yeah. And he might wanna pick one of those up it's never a bad idea -- forget Bruce also on the roster he's -- area Bruce also on the -- the US -- No that was another hall right he went to Mississippi. Ultimately okay. I the other -- I think what to Denver couple years ago he was at a pretty good running back personnel wore number 42 okay that's right yeah that's you don't. He's he always have a guy that is abusing -- pre season always have a guy that unite here actually -- an injured reserve on hot absolutely so he's still got another year left in this deal. But. I think they could add another guy and give Johnny -- and competition because he was nowhere to be found at the in the last year. Even when they were down to Spiller and and to choice you never really saw Johnny white get into the rotation never saw him get the get. The -- evenly the year so I wonder if they might be thinking. If they can bring in a guy and potentially challenge Johnny white for the four spot or he's good enough -- to chart Tashard Choice for that three spot. Is Tashard Choice is only in one year deal so you just have to see what you can get out there I do expect somebody they have a couple of seventh round picks I mean one artistic wire. Make this point about Fred Jackson is Patrick situation that. We you've written about it we've heard buddy say in the local and national -- been quoted as saying the water projects that contract extension before camp I wanna. Make sure we know that doesn't mean he's going to accept. I mean everything to that means he's going to be extended but. There's two parties here that have to figure this I. I'm not saying that they won't accept it all I'm saying is when buddy -- comes out and says that we're gonna definitely work on extending them that doesn't make it. A sure thing that the contract extension will get done before the season. Buddy has said they would take care of them and -- -- Fred Jackson camp from from what I've heard from them is they. They expect to be daycare they take. What buddy says as truth -- because body has proved in the past but with Fitzpatrick. And with Stevie Johnson and with Kyle Williams that. He will take care of his guys when he says he will so. They're confident that buddy it will keep to his word which -- is a very straight shooter he's not gonna say something and in and go behind in the -- the do the opposite so I think. I think it'll -- -- getting done I I think it's. Morally and I'm sure there's going to be negotiations back and forth because that's that's just. I guess our question is isn't there a point of by nick says we are offering this because we think we're taking care of you quote unquote but their camp says wait a minute that's not really what we had in mind. I don't know if that's really the case Hampshire I'm sure the got a low -- did to start -- just a little bit. The negotiation the it's negotiation I I don't think they're -- they're gonna kaput Fred Jackson is too important what they need to do next year and they don't want an unhappy friend that locker because he is. He is the voice of that locker room he is the guy that everyone looks up to in the locker room and and that's an awful important piece that you don't want. It's seeding in the locker room throughout the entire season. Your running backs CJ Spiller he will join me tomorrow twelve noon right here on WGR. I will ask CJ Spiller what his draft week was like in maybe just maybe. We can garner a few clues about how the bills had treated him how many visits he had how they had talked about him. And then we can trying to put some pieces together and read the tea leaves -- may they may be thinking about this year. And almost virtually the same spot where they're picking when they pick -- couple years ago so. Will have C -- also talked about his role 2012 what do you expect and how is offseason is going in the meantime. NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs of Philadelphia Pittsburgh they just drop the puck. Dan -- as your sports update I'm south of Roger he's -- -- at this WGR stress central. -- you look at it and number. What receivers that are Blake who write in nationally and when they were connecting. They began in the back right. Victor proved he was her. 38 made no gas come up every year so we think that you've seen yet. -- bat speed receiver in the third or fourth -- And about central and it helped draft central present abide you'll college people college educating for life. Brought to you in part -- outlet -- what's your outlet and by buffalo men's health practice your ED Andy's. Welcome back draft central and south of pot -- -- -- and that was of course buddy nix. Little insight what he feels about wide receivers and maybe where the bills can go to get a wide receiver doesn't have to be number ten. But they do want to address the position they wanna get somebody opposite. Stevie Johnson. They wanna speed guy -- that can really help. Get somebody down the field. Pull the safety -- Stevie let's Stevie do his work over the middle and in those curl zones where he's so good at and then trying to wiggle his way. For some extra yardage we saw what -- he can do when he did have that. Ability last year those quick slant to things like that it looks like buddy -- wants to get a wide receiver that can stretch the field take that -- the out of the play but as you heard him say just a little while ago. Right there. The -- be nearly around -- other -- guys -- can do -- and that's why we've been leaning away from receiver at. Number ten for -- now one of many reasons why we haven't and there are some guys out there that are that are going to be available but it doesn't appear as though Michael Floyd. Is on their radar for the tenth overall pick I mean -- Justin Blackmon somehow magically gets down to ten I think maybe we have a different discussion but I think with Michael Floyd in the case of him. I think it's it's so Kate's and kind of say aren't available probably looking elsewhere for for the first Olympic. Let's look at the tweets that are coming in this one comes from Myers musings are like this when -- here we go. Who do you Ngo thank you myself predict to be this year's Thurman Thomas Aaron Rodgers and dramatically drop on -- or somebody in. Not do you think should drop that you look at the forty like you know what. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Myself here I think it could be couples I think you could Koppel's and I hate to be Riley Reid. Our political -- going down maybe all the way to twelve herself if that's a really big ball read. Down in that that area. I think you've got a guy like may be a to Castro that could fall way into the twenties. -- Courtney Upshaw okay for this. I think according option off Kendall Wright are a couple of guys I think -- have a chance that -- here from Baylor wide receiver from Baylor might have a chance to to drop down. Up jaw to me. I have him going currently thirty seconds of the giant -- can probably lower than that a lot of people have going but. I think. Just in terms of people looking for the -- side in a -- the the -- -- twitch quick twitch. Pass rusher is acting get to the quarterback I think -- lacks a certain amount in that area. And some of the other players that will be inevitably be taken -- -- our guys like Whitney Marcellus Melvin Ingram -- McClellan. Chandler Jones -- Mick Perry. These are guys that may be may not necessarily be taken ahead of him but I think you can make a case that maybe he does fall also -- Terry -- to. He could he could fall as well I mean everyone because he's kind of a specialist and again they tell you -- really has to fix your scheme they fell in love with him at the combine and and you know the the kind of I guess the lost -- kind of lost itself a little bit since that happened so. I I think poll could go down further than most people are thinking. I mean a lot of people I have around nine to Carolina or about Kansas City an eleven day they would you -- -- -- and that three for the I don't know that they necessarily like dietary I think I say read something that would indicate that they're not interest OK hunter though. So I think you know. He could he could fall down I have going to when he forced the Steelers I do think he needs a year to learn especially -- going to be report notes. And who better to do it under than the Casey Hampton who's been one of the best in the league for a long time. We heard buddy nix talked about wide receivers and DN has a question about the wide receivers go ahead Daniel had to be jurors draft central. Create -- so eager to show -- where I'm like I'm here. You know -- -- -- it doesn't mean Republican -- -- -- -- so the more pressing need to read don't try illiteracy were. I wore my short over the military route scope Perez thinks -- equipment to -- I could make an argument for both. I really cut but I would tend to shade toward the outside receiver OK but he here's here's where I'm really kind of confused done. I really thought they really loved David Nelson. But somewhere along the way it seems to me that they're not. As high and David Nelson as I thought they were or maybe they were in the middle of last what I viewed as a fourth receiver. They view him as -- and they go and four receiver sets all the time and so it's not like he's going to be out there for he's not gonna have -- -- a lot of playing time will be out there a bunch. And it's just his role he's not really that type of receiver to move easiest leader is that why the Yankees hit and a half. He can't stretch the field from the outside right but he doesn't have the body of play in the slot because he's he's going to be pushed up -- safeties and linebackers that can match up with -- rights his is. You know I guess his money. Area is just sitting down of that zone finding a weak spot and and he noticed picking him apart being a safety valve for -- right -- -- oh yeah I think -- ask him in the team fantastic hands what does Donald Jones that in next year. Probably the number two were -- and Arctic and it's that simple -- probably the number two to start and that's what you're looking at opposite. Opposite. Stevie Johnson and the other guy comes in a play obviously -- easily -- he needs to stay healthy I think. He needs to prove he can stay healthy through an entire training camp. Otherwise I think he could be curtains for and they have a lot of receivers on the roster they really really do -- talk to Brandon Brandon in buffalo guy Brandon. And yeah I was just thinking what you get that completely I mean from what I've seen from. He just like what they got great football player you know. Just like one of those guys have really. That he could be one of those -- top planned exit target probably ten years from now. Joseph don't answer that because I know exactly what -- gonna say you know what it we we couldn't do that let's -- I know that some of you don't listen. All every second like you should but we've got -- nobody really cares we've discussed Luke weekly here. More than any other player and go ahead Joseph one more time to wrap up the hour. -- -- I like him as a prospect. I don't know that linebackers. Exactly high up on the -- list. I think they do need a strong side linebacker isn't necessarily a fit for a strong side linebacker that question he's been determined the bills think the bill said he could play L-3. But he he hasn't played the strong side. Backer I'll roll you just yet he's been the middle guy for four Boston pals that they can't do but. I just. Think that. In the grand scheme of things about what they want to address on defense but he -- call quarterback the hardest position on defense and so. If he has a chance to add a top tier guy. To that position especially with you know to contain. Old quarterbacks. On the roster at one who's going to be a free agent next year which leads to on the roster. After next season maybe maybe three if the if they keep. -- reports but still he's appealing is two years left I just tend to think that that. Position is more of a need and what they wanna establish in this draft the Luke. Weekly infatuation. In buffalo continues he's got a final dive on my goodness everybody has got to be terrific player we're not saying he's not at all that this guy. Just seems like you as the fan club all over Western New York really want to bring him here. Lot of below look equally well -- he could be the -- and we don't particularly think he would be the -- and what are -- -- -- be good FL player at least or whoever winds up taking him. In this NFL draft. We -- your phone calls coming your way when we come back where -- -- load -- the bills trading. What are the chances of trading out of ten. In a lot of trading up what would you say that what -- taken who would they possibly trade up yet we'll talk about all that and more of your phone calls 8030550. 888550. To 550 Dan K passports and the other side of the -- that will be right back here which have EGR stress center.
