Health practice we appreciate our spot to be with us here through this extra draft coverage over the course of last week in this week. And it is of course the week of apple draft a couple of days away and with immediate take up until that point and of course then heavy on draft night. Is -- stallion who was out at stadium today for some of the -- -- -- good evening -- evening Brian it's a great week to scrappy around here. As that is a lot of people say you know they have a month. That you know that ordeal media birthday weekend that the draft week please gentlemen it's your birthday week let's let's get the start absolutely. Yes we're not that long away or. Thursday and an hour from now I'm looking forward to that. -- -- also in studio sell much of myself a good evening guys it's good to be back here and I -- appealing the excitement already. The drafts just a few days away and it selling -- said it's kind of like opening up Christmas present I think that. For me the fun part and Joey loved breaking down -- all these guys for me the fun part is. Watching the rumors about the maneuvers out there in fitting the pieces of the puzzle of what team might. Do what the drama in the you know all that thing goes -- I think that's really cool. And affect its Sports Illustrated reported that neither network will now showed guys on the phone. Perfect thing all that's yet to be in sports geez it's an important facets of the draft -- -- just getting I think the the fact what on -- if if you thought if you're on Twitter and you follow. A lot of the national NFL reporters basically. Twitter was your draft -- right and if you if you watched it on either ESP NFL network for the most part. Guys on the phone also ruin some of the drama so if you like the drama. You like the announcement which I think we all do and it makes it makes for great radio so we're excited about it. It it should be certainly an exciting thing on Thursday when the draft -- started and it will be covered. All three of us will be live out at Ralph Wilson Stadium and looking forward to the draft. How how drag show go now to New Orleans this week. Oh yeah that is just loaded with more news today -- it's it's it's pretty hectic -- -- you know how's it going public on an Oakland. There's nothing to talk about Carson Palmer let's talk about it talk about and are are the raiders gonna pull bills and and bring out Carson Palmer in the when there's the -- is going to be -- okay. This is our first round pick a -- -- like the built it with J. P. Losman maybe maybe just maybe yes want to see if there's any sort of PR work. Done by the raiders the saints on the other hand. They've got their work cut out for them in terms of try to make any sort of positive spin over the draft and -- more bad news today from the saints. Where they bugging the opponents look. Amazing if you wanna check out more on that you can check it out at WGR 550 dot com where -- -- doctor raft. And we want to just in case there -- some you may be tuning in and got some tweets earlier today. Michael Floyd the wider steer from Notre Dame unfortunately will not be able to join us in the opening segment like we had thought so are some. Dinner plans -- on the way down in New York City and unfortunately he won't be with us but if for some point were able. Reconnect with Floyd and get a good time have a -- here on -- central so we apologize for that won't stop us from talking about. Floyd in the other possible bills players that may be taken -- ten. Where buffalo. Will be up and also -- new mock draft coming up when. And they've got to play tomorrow -- one -- -- more probably tomorrow night how remarkable insight to more tomorrow and day of so it I think tomorrow night -- coincide with the start of the shouts over the phone that. Run that down. Awesome look reported that Salant. For those that maybe are here for the first time -- -- witnessed last week. Let's talk about other ways to participate besides the phones which is 8030550. Or 1888550. I look forward to that. -- 8030551888550. To 550 if you wanna join us here on the phones at 707 on NFL draft central. Frankel he'll jobless -- -- -- the pot GO Mike she were producing town sits on sports we'll keep updated. On the NHL games only one going on right now. Infected hasn't even started yet but that's at Scotiabank place in Ottawa Senators trying to close out the Rangers. For another possibly eight over one like heaven in the west and LA over Vancouver some. Any -- a goal changes that area a scorching his will give you that but back to the draft and Joseph you're out of the stadium today dale does -- work out officially know football. Allowed -- -- what were they able to do out there you know stretch run around a little bit you know buried the -- it's more fun doing on a on a Greenfield with numbers on it right now and -- and potentially jerseys too but yet they were there were just there were canal a little bit to our own Paul Hamilton covered that portion of of the day and and they left the -- talked to me so. It was it was a lot of fun mean a couple of the reporters were. Ask in three of the eight scouts that the bills have -- their staffs and questions about the players that they that they the -- throughout the season and and they it was a lot of fun if mr. and even it's it's all the website will be played some of here tonight. And likely we'll go ahead and get to. Talking about -- forth as one of the bill scouts his thoughts on USC -- -- tackle Mac -- L a -- we'll definitely in the news because he could be the next player taken. After the two that are pretty much RD light in loaded which is interlocking. At one of the colts and Robert Griffin the third at two to the Redskins so Minnesota essentially is the team up next where there's. Any sort of doubt and -- you pretty much think it's down to two guys right. Yeah I think it's down Nicole Leo and I think it's down a Morris Claiborne you know there's. Here's a huge argument to be made for Morse Claiborne and if they're happening having any doubts about. Polio as a prospect and you know Claiborne is a huge area of need for that team and I I tend to think I probably won't change that they commit an act mock draft I think I think -- Claiborne has has is good of a right to be the third overall pick keys. He's a great talent in his own right it's just he plays at a position may be. That might be slightly less thought of them than a left tackle spot but. I think when push comes to shove that's that's a pretty important position for that division especially so. I it'll be interesting to see what Minnesota goes through over the next three days and and I'm sure if -- be -- more twists and turns as the days go along. And your argument about having a great shut down corner and division filled with. Great quarterback Super Bowl winning quarterback -- right Aaron Rodgers. And a gauntlet full of wide receivers including maybe the best of the NFL and Detroit and Calvin Johnson. You wanna have the ability to shut down the pass in a very pass happy division with the Packers lions and bears at. Very least he wants someone capable enough of slowing them down night and stopping them because you're not gonna stop. But you're not going to stop Calvin Johnson are going to stop Brandon Marshall completely you're not going to stop Greg Jennings completely -- this. Two multi dimensional -- have to go to court -- during the the ball and and so way Minnesota needs to be able to compete in that division and if they don't have a solid guy being able to do just that taking the best. Cornerback in the best cover corner in this year's draft and and then they're going to be in some dire straits no matter how often they keep from Christian Ponder operate with Mac -- left tackle. We know Cleveland is at four and I think it seemed as though that there is consensus now that if Trent Richardson the running back from Alabama is there that. That'll be the pick and it makes a lot of sense not only for need but for a team that struggled to score points and for a franchise that really needs to energize its fan base the pick makes total sense. Joke put to Tampa Bay who also would love to have their hands and -- interest and at five -- -- that three spot or Minnesota's. You know they might but I think they Tampa -- at a spot where they're saying. Okay well if we don't get Richardson we're going to get Claiborne and we don't Claiborne and Richards and the Oregon collegial and if we know -- polio and Richardson and they're gonna get -- so hooked it is so it's. It seems to me that they are gonna get a guy they like no matter what. And a guy that could be able like. I could make the case for -- -- the Tampa Bay you know move Donald pan over to right tackle get rid of Jeremy Trueblood whose terrible. And and have -- -- will be your left tackle of the of the right now in the future to. Is there I I guess I feel like it's shaping up jail where. The first six picks. Almost I feel like look like maybe we could. Pin it down out clearly if trade happened and it changes it button. Tell me if you see anything different other than we know -- one Griffin two. Colts and Redskins respectively it we just discussed the vikings either going. Likely collegial. Or Claiborne Richardson it for the browns. At five Tampa takes -- left over uncle Leo Claiborne and then at six it works out nicely for the rams getting the target for Sam Bradford. And taken wide receiver Justin Blackmon says that kind of -- at the top staff going here yeah barring a major trade that shakes it up. I think it there -- the only reason that if -- gets switched up his right the six spot. If for some reason Jeff Fisher who's who loves building up that offensive line and if he really wants to. You know really started off with a guy like Fletcher Cox for Mississippi State. Then I I could see them going that direction that would push Justin Blackmon down of the seven spot and they Britain they wouldn't be too much fluctuation as I still think Fletcher Cox or go somewhere in the top maybe twelve picks but. He could go as early as six and throw the first major curve ball in in the draft him. And we know Jacksonville in need -- -- receiver they may -- would consider -- as he fell through and Miami a date with their quarterback issues -- to handle -- guy so. Don't know if it it could shape up where maybe it's almost scripted getting out of the bills which means maybe we can pinpoint. Who's going to be there calls and a moment 8030550. South of -- yellow -- -- no. That discussion of Minnesota and collegial. What are we hearing in what are you reading. With this is what's being going out with Mac Leo -- -- throw this to you guys as also part of the reason which. I really do understand. How this is really the thought process possibly for the vikings they do pass on Mac Leo first of all. Dan Weaver of the star Tribune took an interesting angle on a column he posted this weekend and that is a Minnesota obviously. Where he cited the although locally made project as a perennial poll pro bowler. That doesn't guarantee that the team can actually get me remember Joseph Thomas to Cleveland 07. Willie row eleven Robles and thirteen seasons with New Orleans just one play out guys that -- research year. Here are the left tackles are the tackles overall excuse me taken in the top ten over the last several years Lester we have one -- -- what and I -- account. Last year because it was so early August. Trent Richardson number four went to Washington hasn't really helped them make the playoffs are different Williams the Trent Williams of -- -- Williams and it Richardson on the Green and Russell Kong went to Seattle. In 2010. Really hasn't helped them all that much he was the number six bit about Jason Smith going to the St. Louis Rams has been all that everybody thought he could be. Andre Smith pretty much became a bust I'd say with the 88 -- -- around but he's a good right tackle in last year he is but he moved lower right I think draught animals is -- -- -- -- -- -- -- You -- -- -- -- get -- in Eugene -- number -- went to Jacksonville. You take a look at Jake Long the number one overall pick in 2008. To the Miami Dolphins -- large. I think there's a very good -- Joseph Thomas number three Levi Brown number five Cleveland Arizona respectively wanna know the common thread through all those picks. Go ahead they don't have a -- -- can pick it up that's five I mean it does that isn't there an argument we made sure -- left tackle you could look at all those left tackles taken the top ten. And really a very very very low percentage of them have enabled the team it's taken them to get to the next level even once well. That's that's for sure. I mean but. -- there are other factors that weigh into it who who is there -- who was playing next -- who's playing behind them who are they protecting everything like that. I think in terms of an impact type of player. If you don't have that quarterback in place Minnesota hopes Christian Ponder that guy. But if you don't have that quarterback in place quarter might be a better place just because of the kind of effect you can have on a week to week basis and and you know make plays in the defensive backfield and everything in between so. I understand that it's that sort of arguments. It's just. If what those guys have a top flight quarterback and odds are there going to be thought of as one of the top political tackles -- -- it just seems to be the way the NFL goes you know I mean. 8030550. Is the number of left get a little bit more on. -- -- from one of the bill scouts here in a second let's grab some calls on the offensive tackle spot nick in buffalo is up here on NFL draft central -- -- you're on the. Dude get a certainly glad he didn't like Jerry. You know that there would ever expect it to pretty much cut and dried and I think he'll mark. And they do need at left tackle in the second round I mean net designated -- -- Matthew -- projected as a right tackle but when I read. And the agility to played left tackle and I like to get a Latin third round I think they're gonna leave it up to. Whoever it is about a player between the receiver linebacker. I think that's the way they're gonna go and I'm running up and listen thank you. Panic I think -- Addressing all your needs but Bob Bobby Massie is -- left tackle if Gilles if Gilmore is there. Using -- the -- if you -- -- -- an eating everything from what the bills are saying I think everybody next like Camelot that he is certainly in play for the he's very good on character right in terms of assists of his off the field stuff is -- tends to be the reason why he's rising you know at this point because a north Jenkins is checkered. To put it lightly and and -- Patrick had that offseason. Arrest him drop charges but still others. Some judgment issues that that the ruling that they have to consider there -- buffalo Europe next -- Fred you're on the air. Yes. Just wondering if Minnesota they take Claiborne. Is error how many people need offensive tackle between us. And well Cleveland but anyone else going down right is there any shot -- police. There could be. You know Tampa Bay I could I could see them taking. A mentally ill say Lewis definitely because Roger sampled wasn't relief. The greatest over left tackle they could finally shore up there but in a sport -- more today. If you could argue either way I you can argue defensive tackle for them to. Also going down the list I mean Jacksonville's another team they've moved one of the tackles they took. In Britain they moved him inside to guard Eugene Monroe hasn't been all that great maybe move him out to the right side there's another potential spot. But Carolina too with with the age and injury concerns of their office of tackles this point in plus the fact that. His Big Brother replacing Carolinas and on -- you know pair those two guys -- so there are some teams there. There is there's always a chance that it could happen I just tend to think it's a little bit less than some people playing it up to be right now. Our and then if if someone does take him you'd think that would then open up the door to leave -- Gilmore. Or -- should buffalo paid to leave and always post projected residents are -- prime linebacker but it's obligated play all three position. Yeah guy you know from what the bills are saying that he he's supposed to play Ellsbury in and threat yeah thank you Fred Gilmore I think. Is certainly right in the conversation for that tenth overall pick. Buddy nix has talked about wanting to get a shut down cornerback and and you know really raved about him with costs in the morning on Thursday so. I think he is in it in the conversation for tenth overall and I'm sure there's a couple others up their key glee is someone that's always been kind of hanging around that pick I mean he seems to be the safest of the bunch I mean. It's not necessarily a bad thing. I know that kind of stigma that that sends across that he's safe. But you know when you have a linebacker who puts up that. That type of production at the college level and in the in the EC scene alas. Then you're going to think that he's kind of a safes sort of picked that you can plug in your lineup right away so. My biggest concern with him is can he get off blocks he did he ever have to do that at Boston technology you know I didn't really see too much of anyone else watching him so. I wonder if if you can do that at the strong side position because that's certainly a huge tenets of the conversation. -- -- -- We got thoughts from Doug adjusting the -- got on him and also Mac Leo the man we focused a lot in on this segment. Brad foresight for the bills also talking with Joseph and other members of the media today out of one bills drive as the team. Opened up their work out session yes they offseason sort of stop. And -- back and talk and more with you got a couple lines open if you wanna jump in -- the number 80305518885525. If the rankles here Matilda scallions Sally is checking your tweets and text. Put the hash tag. WG art draft central and then sell real to. Organizing a little better that -- can also Texas. At 55550. When we come back toward your calls the bill scouts are some of the players we've been just mentioning. -- updates on the more rumors going on and right now get an update on the NHL playoffs Ottawa and the Rangers. Under way in game six back with more of NFL draft central right after this on WGR. The wall to wall coverage of the NFL draft this Thursday. On the official voice of the Buffalo Bills WGR. Our Sports Radio fighting -- -- 728 welcome back our draft coverage continuing. Here on NFL draft central and double BDR Frankel deal. With our draft -- Araujo was -- itself the popular monitoring your social media aspect of the show. And we've got others in studio working hard today Tom sits on sports -- she were producing. One nothing Ottawa over the Rangers early in the first we'll keep you updated on that game the senators trying to close out. The top seed tonight we're talking about the bills at ten and what they're gonna do and a lot of that last segment about Mac Khalili offensive tackle from USC. And we have some of the bill's thoughts on that here coming up in just a moment also. -- key clean a linebacker and Boston College seems to be kind of a fan favorite in this area for now these are as a guided the -- that big bills fans would love to see. Taken at ten. And we'll be -- with just these thoughts coming up that two on -- glee and some phone line open here for the first time jump in 8030550. Got a draft comment -- question. 8030551888550. To 550. OK guys Joseph we've had a lot of talk about quarterbacks -- last week obviously we know the first three. In some order -- Wyler in Sweden are gonna be coming off the board. We get some tweets and talk a little bit about where does Kellen Moore fitted not necessarily. Soon the bills necessarily but maybe a guy that if you're looking for a late round -- would you think he's even. Draft a ball in a -- is is -- -- possibility for the bills. Think there's a chance he gets drafted. I just don't think all high of eligible for my personal opinion I think he is. I've said it before but I think he is at best a third string quarterback in the NFL just doesn't have the arm. He could be in play for the bills but I think they might want someone with a little bit more mobility and if you're going to compare he obviously gets lumped in with Russell Wilson just because of the -- factor. And if you compare. The other things that Wilson brings to the table. In terms of mobility man you know really being able to extend a play. -- that's something that Kellen Moore can't do and that's something he hasn't really had to do when he's when he's in the shotgun there at Boise State going up against some sub par competition most the time. So I think Kellen Moore is a fantastic college -- back to I think he's a pro pro quarterback. Not by any stretch of the imagination if he might get drafted in the late rounds but if it were me I would not -- him. Brad the beast east is who gave us that on Twitter wanna give him a little. Credit there for giving us the question also is a really cool avatar two former eighties wrestler so once in -- Brad the BC's thanks for the question. A Kellen Moore I mean there's there's there's three -- four quarterbacks like that maybe more every year jail. That put up really really good numbers play in a more of a college friendly offense. And we see more and more so now with big twelve quarterbacks which never was the case back yet. Basically over a decade ago or that it was the big eight and it was option football and back with Turner Gill -- Nebraska in and Oklahoma and they they ran it so well and Texas their their running game got going -- Ricky Williams and others like that but now it's turned into a pass happy conference with very little defense played. And the spread offenses basically what you have to run all the time and -- be successful and we saw it. To -- Chase Daniel is well out of Missouri he's still up these I mean he's still in the league but I mean Kellen Moore to meet. General phone along than it is in the same breath but. And Colt McCoy a little more of a pro style offense that taxes but. The same. Sort of physical attributes of more just not the biggest not the biggest are poised to -- Rodney can move around more and even move around -- -- -- you know he has Drew Bledsoe except he's not as -- he can't be a -- I mean with with more I think it's just one of those. You know what -- college skewed view. You feel like your team is better in practice because teachers their QB and that's it and that's okay but. I think beyond that of thinking he's gonna be some sort of NFL star I think it's probably -- big stretch. 8030550. Will get two more on the quarterbacks here in a moment but first we've been talking about medical Leo. Hand we wanna get some thoughts on what the bills think about it got Joseph who spoke with the coupled bill -- today dogma just keep Brett foresight and fourth cites the one here that's talking about. -- -- -- so let's hear just a minute or so of Joseph and others with Brad. Foresight for the bills on USC -- to tackle medically. We will bring. As a big Fella. He's a big Fella. And I mean you heard him talking about it there about. His ability to pull him and and have the type of speed is just lay into a corner and identify the right got to block I mean that's something that really stood out Mac Leo. And then he he certainly. Legit left tackle prospect that will be able to step right in and start for you. 8030550. Is the number one in 8522550. So. Let's discount and here I know a lot of people are still thinking about colonial and how great he would be in a -- -- for. The obvious statement is Joseph and if miracles happen and he fails to and the bills take him there's no choice yes now. The bills probably like him very much so it's -- a position of need if we're gonna talk about position needs it's in the top three the very least. And let's say somehow. The vikings don't take -- -- gets by Tampa and all the sentencing Lewis is on o'clock -- their thing in Blackmon. Do -- start getting on the phone. I don't think so I don't think how much do they really like him to get on the phone to give up a number who maybe to move up a three or forced. -- think buddy nix is getting on the phone with anybody to move up that's just not how we roles that and he isn't he hasn't won it once. There -- trade up for instance I mean he's he's been part of groups that have traded down back in San Diego but. You know trading up is a whole different story because then you're asking buddy next to give up something he values. Higher than anything else in the NFL that's draft picks and adding guys to the roster and they have ten picks and they want all ten of their picks to hit this year. Two you know. Let's to a certain degree you know seventh rounder isn't necessarily expected to come out NB a star for the team like Stevie Johnson was but that's kind of an anomaly but. The the idea of -- -- adding depth to the entirety of your roster that's something buddy -- loves to do finding these in jams and and -- -- -- zero necessarily wants to give up a guy like that for a format polio a fee to to stand -- and get a guy that they believe can help. It you know affect the roster a positive way next year. Now -- -- is the other guy that's been it's brought a lot to write -- take a linebacker. In round one. Is something the bills actually haven't done in quite some time -- Yeah I would guess seeing Tomlin. Well in 1980. Was early static yes 1987 -- come and I would guess 1987 as your guests with Tomlin. -- let's take a look -- look at you let me get to the first year I -- can pull it up I'm not and I would be correct -- right -- she -- 87. Is the last -- when someone. Now -- 87. Jane Connell last time bills took a linebacker. In round one. That. Adding to read into. I think that's indicative of the position as a whole I would say in all of the fact that these guys tend to drop on draft day. I don't know if it's necessarily going to happen a lot of times you take a linebacker earlier mean. Look back at the past couple. Linebackers that were taken release earlier I mean Aaron Curry. Who is no longer with the Seattle Seahawks I think he was taken fourth overall and really never panned out for them and ended up getting traded Oakland before that you know on -- -- the second overall pick of the falcons I think in 91 what does he ever done. In only its its it's a scary proposition you know obviously as you get all down further in the draft. Is it the value is going to be a little bit better for the linebackers but. It's such an impact position an impact right away position along with running back where you can find a guy late they can come in get a bunch of tackles for economic might not be as. As good of athletes but I mean look at even what the bills that last year Kelvin Sheppard was the third round is they're starting middle linebacker. So it's just the devaluing. Of of the linebacker position as a whole. Looking at buddy nix is drafts the two of them. Terms of need verses player that they may be went away from need because they liked him so much. We know last year it actually worked out quite well that it actually was both -- they really really really like -- he was their number two on the board behind Cam Newton. And plugging -- guy in the middle to help stop the run was probably right near the top of their needs anyway -- take diaries there worked out very well the year before that. Likely not the case CJ Spiller running back at pick nine overall running back at the time not really -- need at all in fact it was. I would say a big surprise not so much Spiller the picked up because of the position that they went with. Those are really buddy nix is draft and if you wanna go back father he had maven at defensive end where the bills need to pass rusher aghast. -- -- wait nick held in the corner at pick eleven. With a built in need of a corner at that point I would say yes and then at twelve overall and 07 running back with lynch. That one. So not so much safety Whitner Alice -- of felt like the biggest surprise even more so that Spiller I would say. Because taking a safety at eight. People -- a little bit too weary of the fact that Spiller might be the neck and Whitner was just completely bolt -- and anyone yeah it's gonna there and they. I what was more unlikely though that are trading back in it John McCardell after that that same year now. About that people were high and cargo that here in that draft if they didn't take care of if they didn't do that the giants -- took -- later on -- -- of. First four picks from that draft Whitner McCargo Youboty. Ko Simpson -- did not work out well for the bills that draft of 2006. And you look at 2005. Is there -- player left on this roster. Parish. Everett Preston Eric kicking testing -- singer Lional gates. Nobody from the 05 draft. The only person from the 06 draft. Is Kyle Williams Keith Ellison Terry Pennington -- -- 07 draft lynch -- laws need Trent Edwards to in right John when -- Eric Schumann. It was a matchup either right. So through three consecutive drafts or five or six and 71 player. 08 Mckelvin still there party gone Alice on Reggie Corner on. Mckelvin Derek Fine and slow and Xavier Omon Mattel is -- -- -- and then at the -- of the 08 draft Stevie Stevie in round. Seventh three players. In the last four drafts everybody next. Let's hope that the knicks last two -- works out a little better. All right more on loop Heatley and his thoughts in the bill -- so we return. Your calls welcome 8030551888550. To 550 sell -- to do with Kelly I'm -- deal. And here's Thomas the update back with -- more NFL draft central presented by do you -- college outlet liquor. Which -- just start just after eight from Radio City Music Hall in New York City the bills. Are scheduled to of course -- ten and of course is if there is no movement from the bills we don't necessarily expect. That they will move themselves from the tenth pick. Already Andrew Luck wonder the colts and Robert Griffin the third to the Redskins it too is. Almost sketched in stone LB one and two and then. Minnesota will go ahead and have the third pick in and bills will of course be at ten and will have every pick for it in round one live. Full analysis will be live at the stadium -- -- one bills drive. A conference call from the bills' first round selection. Our thoughts and from buddy nix and company in the bill scouts after the -- is over and of course will be taking your phone calls all night long cover in the draft from start to finish. And we're hoping you'll be -- this year that night right here on WGR Sports Radio 558030550. Is the number 1888. By fifty to 550. Let me get you to a couple of things here first of all this comes US from a Brian big gain of the Palm Beach post down in the Miami area South Florida obviously. And you know I -- everyone expects Miami to grab -- NF -- is there at number eight but what just what if they don't what do they pass on Danielle. Who else they be looking at and it looks like. They're too. There one area may be a pass rusher. In that would be Melvin Ingram input couples coming -- -- play for the Miami Dolphins now Joseph though they were high on the list early on her but now -- he's because of need because the free agency changing some things. Those guys have kind dropped along the way silent threat that is those are two guys maybe. Who could probably fit in that spot you would probably have -- you could think that that spot if that was the scenario I think so. I think -- is a guy that's certainly been dropping a lot more so than Ingram. But to -- -- the whole position you're you're right has been dropping as a whole it just just the way the trends have been showing. The the idea of what Miami might need you know you could argue they need -- receiver to. I'm sure they electoral Brandon Marshall and all they have left is Brian -- line and the phone bass and and that's that's not really. I mean those two guys are great complementary guys what you need that tops your receiver. So I can see them going. I can see them going. The the wide receiver route or offensive and I mean it all depends on how they feel about Melvin Ingram. Ingram to some teams is only 34 outside linebacker of the teams seem as a 43. In general quickly mark M on Twitter at at WGR draft central let's hash tag. He asks about the Castro I guess every night I have to ask you this question -- can you explain everybody why you don't feel that -- -- really an option for the bills with a number ten pick -- of course he is a interior linemen guard. Is not he's not a tackle I think that's that's the bigger reason. In LI I think some believed a little. Could make that argument that because Reinhardt in urban bolt didn't sign their tenders maybe that might be a reason why the looking into it but. The odds of them. Not resign which they did today they sign their tender their one year tender today as restrictive free agents. The at the odds of them potentially going elsewhere were slim to none so with with our Beck in there with who they really like at right guard. And and you -- who we know they love at left guard. I don't see the point in taking it -- passed -- If you don't have a spot to put him he is not a left tackle. He hasn't played left tackle he is a guard all the way through and it it just doesn't make sense great player nonetheless just does not make sense for the bills. 752 time rankles he'll -- -- -- pot GO. And if one and Ottawa Senators up one nothing on the Rangers back to the phones -- in new Jersey's up next high heaven here on the -- but. -- -- story. 81 quick what -- -- I want to bring up was I think -- defect at the bills went so hard after Robert -- and free agency Condit showed me that you're ever called high on Floyd I've always looked out -- thought that if they're high -- -- and it I would know when it's hard after Meachem but the that just like comment the question is is not. It's actually gone down the Stephon Gilmore who are actually not huge for an up or 40 gland -- I wanted to know. Puccio who Joseph would pick just personally I think we're declined to better value. But oh yeah -- I felt about that. It up personally avenue Mike gifted the different answer here personally I think that I would take -- decline in that instance. The bills I think will take Stephon Gilmore if it's the choice between the two there. Like they value of him as a corner more than they do Glenn is an offensive tackle. And that's just kind of the feeling that that you get from the from the way that the talks so. I think Gilmore would probably be their play. -- -- outside of -- and it's a dream he is he'd tell me if you can project him. I mean if he gets it and you hit on him you have a franchise left tackle of course there is a bust factor there but you know I'm I'm the type to a swing for the fences and as that is so. I guess I guess I bet that's the kind of route I would go. Let's go to ace next on -- air base. -- for a long time ago and where you -- -- covered the problem listening. Well I got my question has you know about electability. -- Beckett and last year no audio that you need to shutdown corner but Leo lectured three. -- Patrick Peterson right he forces either. I'm already -- you're shopping either read it next year -- -- in the past him last year grant it more easily this year. It can't -- him in the indicate you know. Definitely again this year to around directory. Now I think they looked at their needs last year and they saw that the fact that their. There. Their run defense was allowing almost 170 yards a game and they thought hey let's get the biggest baddest meanest guy possible in the draft to help Intel eight baton. That's exactly what they did so I don't think they're really kicking themselves over taking Marcel -- over Patrick Peterson Peterson. Wu who is an electric return man. Had his share of problems at quarterback last year he was born pretty often early on in the year he he came around a little bit later on but. You know that's it's it's not as though he's in immediate shut down Cory he's now the Revis -- I don't think he'll ever be Revis in that respect he's just an electric return man who's a solid quarterback. -- -- -- -- At the call. Four of the top five. Made the Pro Bowl last year -- -- and -- he won the one however. I think many would say that artists. You're gonna say did he had a successful season I joined him a slightly great there at six guys on five have Sachs without Kyle Williams next to him if you had to you know give me great of one through ten -- -- a solid seven yes stats aside and -- I think he really showed some poise and and really help the team when injuries just ravaged their defense. He did have to go through a bit of a learning curve I looked to the first game against the jets. And where in which he was just. You know manhandled by Nick Mangold. -- when -- I believe that was his second game starting at nose tackle and Mangold just had a way with them because you know -- just. He just wasn't he just wasn't ready for that for that sort sort of deal the week before he went against I think Edward Cooke. Of the Redskins and if you go against him were cook one week -- and then Nick Mangold the next week there there's Camille Little bit of a drop off so. I like the job Daria stood last year he's. He showed signs of you know he might be taking the big jump this year the bills we certainly hope so hoping -- during the next to -- I would not for three. And when you talk about corners I think it's important note -- that you know. Most corners just don't commit to start on day one as the number one -- -- guys write you when you draft a corner you see you really do draft him for years down the road capsule are gonna contribute -- special teams making tackles in the kick off team. And they're gonna play a lot of nickel so I think that when people talk about Gilmore worker Patrick is -- fair to say that you know looking at who's -- a bigger impact now you're looking at who projects to be the better corner. Throughout their career -- all they do want that guy believe it is at least coming in at the nickel. And you know go from there and you know guild -- also a punt return for South Carolina so he can help inspector team there as well. I know bills fans here always a return man be competitive than Floyd returned two for Notre Dame -- -- a little bit you know. Like I tended to not watch him for his return ability to him watchable for his his receiving receiving aspects -- I think a Gilmore. Would make sense in that regard and and it. You know I thought how often touchback happened last year you know -- that I think -- that avatar I'm talking that part of it to me is almost meaningless if you can be a good punt returner. That's still definitely a big part I will say though Justin Rogers late in the year last year mean kick returns when he brought out. Good yardage and so they they have something there that timeout here and we'll get another update from Tom at the top of the hour. Our number to a draft central coming your way more thoughts from the bill scouts and more of your thoughts. 8030550. Right after this.
