It's a free deal it's it's just it's agreed to we got beat the pro you know these contests close that it's it's going to be a lot of fun. It -- a lot more fun to play at the market but it just is on the work if that's Richard today either -- that to be. That's a it's exit strategy -- I would stick a but stick one left. The iron in the bag you can only carry fourteenth Hutus wise that's right made it worth it -- -- -- -- -- -- that he got a beautiful day for that yet -- yet to be a lot of fun and like that the golf courses so perfectly willing to its pristine mean it couldn't it couldn't be better for -- absolutely and mania Hampshire clubs and courses are on there is starting to get their offense going and that definitely. Had a good week for it and this weekend looks like perfect. Golf whether. And let's before we get into some of the things that I wanted to bring up shockingly tigers making more interesting news on the pro scene but. Maybe it's some of the members listing come into play today arm as we said many to be driving to the course wherever they're gonna play this this morning -- And I I drove by it Howard -- this week and saw some things that usually IC and now I just wanted to keep your thoughts on it but. Let's just talk -- first about going to play today. Let's just say a lot of guys don't play at this point guys and gals shouldn't should throw at them too. You haven't played all week you've been working all week. Today your plane you haven't swim club let's say for at least the week you're going to plant Saturday morning with the with the group your friends and you get to the course and you've got let's say. Appointments before before UT off. Some guys will take that opportunity to maybe they'll get the extra Danish in the in the approach shot -- America yes. What should you do if you're saying listen I wanna go ahead and make myself more prepared to not only hit that first shot well but to actually score better and it's round -- -- he got twenty to thirty minutes or so before you around. What are some of the things that you really can do. Beyond the fact that maybe just getting your your body loose and maybe three maybe you would want us there right. Yeah I guess there's there's two different ways you know there's a -- round routine that you should probably try to get into routine -- my practice you're getting prepared to play at the different in practice your. I try to get to the golf course you know 45 minutes earlier he got a half hour whatever the amount of time is and I try to do the same things and typically like to go to the putting Green first. And -- -- get to the putting Green hit a bunch of pots and just trying to get a feel for the speed of the greens that day. Hit him until lag putts truck hits an uphill putt from downhill putts. Do some things to try to get this feel soaked up in media so you know how hard you're gonna have to hit the putts. Then you wanna go to the range and hit some balls real -- candidacy how the ball is gonna fly for you that -- that -- are you fade -- What kind of you know you wanna pick thought you wanna stick with one thought for the day. You know start with your wedges. Get loose give a little better rhythm you're not trying to. Turn ripped shots you're just trying to get a feel for your swing for that day assault typically start with the wedges in. And work our way through my bag just a few balls with -- each club like I said it's not time to practice this is time just to get loose. These -- wedge or nine years seven maybe work your way down. And then hit a few drivers ended depending on what your -- shot of the day is then I'll hit a few more those so -- transit we got you know. And nice par four you can hit driver off the -- So I'll visualize that tee shot and hit five or six of those shots. And try to finish and a good one I'll be trying to hit you know whenever the first shot of the day is that's what I'll finish off on the range with. Then I'll head back to the putting Green. And I'll hit a bunch of chips and putts and hopefully a bunker shot or two. And then finish with some more putts trying to get a feel for the speed. And I like to hole. Five or six or 73 footers in a row. Just to get the confidence that I can I know that I can run those putts into the into the hole with confidence to start off my round and I feel like I'm prepared and I've. I've hit every shot my in my bag made a point two putt I've hit some chips and enumerated played in my body should be warmer should be loose. I think one thing that I know going is that first putt on first greens if you haven't practiced on the putting Green at all. Can can be definitely very nerve wracking especially for that a course that -- not familiar with the speed. Com or if especially if it's morning you're not quite sure well you know is some of the do still on the Omnia on the greens enough where. You're wondering what is that gonna do with that. They are they -- silhouettes from just overnight is their moisture in the greens and rain overnight you know idea maybe how that ball and react right away. So. Yeah there's a priority getting -- -- putting Green and hit some chips and putts three and we talk about all the time but that's where the scoring comes from it doesn't come from hitting the ball -- we see the best players in the world missed six greens around an average. So these -- got a chip and putt well and that's why they're better than. Than everybody else has their grief from hundred yards in and so you wanted to vote. At least half your time to be around the chipping putting area and -- -- good feel for what's going -- -- think he's greens different we played different courses and he had a chip one day I mean I'm wondering it's firm rolls out the next deeply different course and it checks effort slower doesn't rollout. So those of the things you got to get yourself climate guys too as you go out there and you're ready to play if you only have five minutes would you say. Take the putting Green over the range if you had to pick -- -- -- time for one. Yeah I would take is the putting Green over the range hit a bunch of hit -- -- to put to use this because you can take some warm up swings on the first tee get your body loose. And then just kind of trustee and you played a lot of golf more people played a lot of golf it. They know what they're gonna hit -- you know you're gonna have a decent chance -- -- good shot and are you really wanna do is get your muscles loose and warm you can do that on the first tee. You don't have to do that with swings you can do you know some stretches and stuff like that I know. And looks a little funny sometimes on the first the some of the stretches I'll do but but they're effective -- -- -- -- get your hips lose to a -- shoulders are loose and -- You just go ahead and play golf it's it's time to -- -- just fire away. 8030550. Is our number join us if you'd like to talk about this practice is curious to do is is preparation. Of what you do at the course in. Whatever you have whether it's ten minutes to forty minutes thirty minutes is that part of your routine for maybe some of you. Don't even have that much time at all love to hear about what's so you're teens are heading to the course will get about what to do with the rays coming up here. I'm just a little bit that put the question out on Twitter. If you will wanna respond you can do so follow me at Brian. PRI and WG are on Twitter and and just let us know or or talk a little bit of just about practicing. And how to get yourself batter before -- around if you're at the course -- they have -- if they have a putting Green. What to do there. On the putting Green itself -- -- you talked about -- this feel this of the speed and hit those short ones if you have a decent amount of time is there some sort of drill you would do. On the putting Green itself or. If someone came over to you on the pudding greens and hey I'm having trouble putting here. And where you where would you start in terms of maybe that five minute media lesson on the Green with somebody. Yeah I guess one of my favorite trolls as the circle drill I guess that Phil Mickelson might have made it famous -- you put tees in the ground about three foot from the hole find sloping putt on the side of Hiller something. But -- and Clark -- fashion around the hole. And you try to make three footers from. In a complete circle around the hole from below the whole left side the right side and above the hole that's a great way to get a feel for how much they're gonna break. How much speed they have how much you have to come with -- you have to play. He used to watching that ball roll in the center of the hole from. The other thing is you know this sounds a little silly or hokey maybe but it to visualize success to sow fear out there making putts than you while feeling like you can make putts I think. Tim freezes talked about how Brad Faxon with star from one foot away from the hole as a kid and all he knew was making putts so when he got on the tour putting seem like the easiest thing. But I think that hitting some uphill putts and then downhill putts gives you good feel for the speed of the greens hit some long putts. One good drill I like a lot is you you putt to the collar without. Having it actually touched the -- try to hit lag putts this close to the collar of the Green without touching the power without going past the collar. That's a great way to get to develop. In Green that speed for the greens and that day. -- thing is if you're on the range and have some time. You can kind of mentally play the first couple holes you know sometimes it's hard to start out and a lot of times I'll start -- and play good in the middle. But if you get on the driving range in you can sit there until now the first polls probably driver and a way it's easy -- -- every hit a pretty good but now our great -- in nine accident you take out your nine and pretend your target out there. Hit a nine iron to -- -- -- -- Armey -- a little chip. Play the -- panels a hybrid and a seven iron or whatever it is you just -- try to clear the course of holes if you know the course that's a great way to herself around else. 8030550. Is -- number of rankles deal here with PGA approach Geoff Meade it's beautiful day for golf and were talking about our. Free round routine. Let's talk about the stretching things that you talked about there basically especially. I know sometimes. I'm playing at my father older gentleman who are going to be sue them if -- that we all are going to be there at some point two. Stretching obviously I'm guessing as you as you get older more and more important. What sort of suggestions you have there the DC people in the in the wrong thing when you're out their plan at a time. Yeah you know on for me I am I think about the case that in the last few years I've been an allotted discomfort when I went to play golf my back was bad my -- for bad and -- -- -- Cora -- tone are discover golf she gave me a bunch exercises and stretches. Made a huge difference I go to work every day in my back doesn't hurt. And I know that that's from the flexibility and strengthening and I know it's helped me play a little bit better this year so -- I think you need to get your hips loose. He needed to shoulders -- need to get your body warmed up I think when -- if you go to the gym when they see -- he -- five minutes to get your body warmed up so you need to spend about five minutes stretch and what I like to do is before I leave the house Hala I'll do my stretches at home I do some. You keep your hamstrings and your hands and wrists. A lot of people find this time a year they've been hit enough range -- -- elbows might hurt a little bit minority can get your own unnerving global pinched. Might wanna get that stretched out that'll prevent the the fingers from going a little bit -- if you get too many balls off the math. You wanna you -- just make sure your body feels fluid we used we use a foam roller -- which is. A lot of people -- foam rollers but you get on the ground in this kind of like massage for your muscles. It seems to make you a lot more supple seems to make you feel you're backing your hips feel pretty good if you use that on a regular basis. But I don't know about specific stretches everybody has different limitations in different flexibility issues whatever their tight that's that they should be stretching. But I know your hips and your Miami's injured in your. Your lower back -- -- in your shoulders will need to be loose if you wanna play well. That is a tweeting here from Justin and asking about. What's the correct amount number of balls to hit before your round is there is too many a problem at times. You think you can be although you know you watch Phil Mickelson he gets there for five hours before -- ground sometimes some of these pros are there for a long time. -- -- I'd be tired I mean some of them are gonna hit more shots an -- during their round. Oh yeah yeah oh most definitely I I think it depends on the person some people like to get to the -- real early and be real prepared. I like to just be loose and get ready for the daily to do my practicing after the round. You know -- him around the golf after the around I want that try to solve any problems -- hit shots that I didn't hit while that's when I go work on that. I think if your -- on the range before your round tinkering with your swing it's gonna lead to mechanical thoughts out there. And once again that he -- and when -- you're ready to play it's all about playing and shooting score. And if you've been on the range to long hit too many dollars your confidence comes and goes if it courage -- advantage to him that if you've got too many thoughts and I mean your head. So I really like to just see get warmed up and if today I am drawn and they're currently drawn to -- inflation today please place today. But to hit too many calls and to work on your mechanics before around I don't think that's the right time. Which the official PGA -- stance Omnia the free -- 91 at that -- at everybody but. -- howdy to review -- with an -- unity to a the first theater Bryant's alleged call via the personally am a big thing that kept up at the perfect. All right that's good to know rule -- the other awesome with a photo editors at 718. Is the time here on -- golf show. And coming up next segment. How many you have been at the driving range and maybe you've been sitting next to somebody who. Maybe you know isn't necessarily getting the most out of the range experience I know. -- the one time you and I were at the range I had I had to Wear one of those -- prep proof vests. That is that little cage that was right next to me yeah I didn't feel safe next the other that there there they were if they can't -- -- works. That's right on the rockets. -- When you go to there with the us army artillery and it was this year or last yeah I've -- once it's here. You routine greed is don't pack away generally just going hack away I usually pull out the driver first and just go. That's probably the wrong -- ago. And if you're looking for in -- -- shaken is that they boy Leo yeah a lot of work to do here jumping in swing our way that's right first -- driver rip it and try to it is -- you possibly can and that's -- and when you don't -- the beginning that's right. I get the we're gonna break down everything that Matthew did run the range we come back also to. And the even got a funny story from what you aside somebody at the range or. May via media. Well moment that you thought maybe your life was in jeopardy from the driving range but we'll talk about that next you going to the driving range. What is actually a way to give something good out of it 803055188550. To 550. We'll talk about that keep the tweets coming in at Brian WGR. More on tiger missing the cut it today at two and -- players championship preview coming up her third segment here along the way with meet Jeff meet us. PGA pro from -- -- -- I'm Frankel deal here's Matthew with the update Rebecca Mark optional right after this every Saturday on WGR. 747. Welcome back. And their fans -- -- a little sad as they wake up this morning. It is 71 in our golf show Jeff -- local PGA pro from -- of -- I'm rankles ailment he collar producing talking about. Practicing before you around and now this like little bit more about practicing. On the range. Got to. Story have something you saw the rains that may be entertaining for the listener audience feel free to join us 8030551888552. By fifty. Mike just sent a tweet here at Brian WGR about his practice routine before his round and -- break it down if you like and -- he says. I've practiced -- twenty minutes hitting wedges. And nine through seven for about five minutes and the rest that time on the practice Green like that. That's a great start he had a great way to get some rhythm you can have a little bit better rhythm when -- hit no shorter shots as opposed to just ripping drivers. Were trying to hit three irons. It depends on the turf and everything else to. I think. I think anything you do to get yourself engaged and ready to play there is going to be great and I don't think you wanna let too many mechanical thoughts start creeping in your game you just wanna be ready to go -- play. That's different that's when we're gonna talk about now is when your practicing as when you work on your mechanics when you're warming up is not the time to be working on mechanics. All right. Practice range. Many people I know exactly what I'm talking about you're there. -- maybe walking up and down you've got your bucket of balls had your spot. And you're seeing people does go -- and all sorts of different swings all sorts of different types of people sizes shapes. Men women young and old and you're seeing it all on the driving range that good in the bad and the ugly golf their Jeff. Let's try and talk about here we get the phone with a two but let's let's try for for those listeners really wanting to get better here. Let's say you go to the range he got yourself a bucket of balls. Instead of what a lot of people do is is just hack away. They'll -- last segment you know poke fun at him a little bit about to -- get the driver out and it's swing as hard as you can until yet until you're tired right that's not. -- -- team right but what I like this what would you gotta realize is when you're going to practice you wanna make that time productive it's it it shouldn't just be exercise Korea. So when you're going to the driving range have a goal of what you're trying to do that day. I remember one of the things that stuck with me was Nicholas he would play golf. And he'd have a flock come up during his gamer he would hit it poorly he would go to the range until he had it. And he wouldn't hit another ball so he was hitting hooks he's going to alienate your read that hook. And then he put his clubs down and you walk away so we wouldn't keep beating balls on and on and and so when you go to the range. Have a goal what am I gonna work on today in this practice session. Don't his gold they're out they're just hit balls for this taking hitting balls that is not gonna be productive it may in fact be counterproductive. When I see too is people don't have targets in and out working on specific things are just hitting balls and in the end up getting frustrated. So what I like to do if I'm going to range from climate -- we got by the way we're we're -- we have the most perfect driving range marking Arctic turf is perfect and and you know perfectly flat that's great but that doesn't simulate the golf course very well salaam. But when I'm practicing what I like to do is I'd like to put down some clubs and pick out a target and put down some clubs curled my feet and create a little alignment -- Maybe a little bit put a club between violates mine or my ball position is. All these things you know I see a lot of people who lame right furthering -- so fine meaning right on the range and say I do have a target but I mean right in my target. I mean greening a path where I have to trying to swing the club back to laugh and pull it across my body in order to hit the ball backward to target. Wanna help myself -- -- -- some bad habits practice doesn't make perfect practice and make permanent as we'd like this day. So first thing I like to do I -- that is get a target. And then set up a little practice station so I know where I mean I know my ball position is. And then I'm gonna try to work out whatever I'm gonna work on that day whatever flaws what what's my weakest part of my game is a mile long irons is my wedge play. Is it my putter and we go to the putting Green and and work on that. But we're gonna work on what we're not doing that and maybe it's you know hit a few shots that were strong at two and and make sure we maintain the strength there but if I'm working on my rhythm. You know offs always you have a -- and I'll do from remote my feet together have a count in my hand. If I'm work and I tend to get my club outside on the backswing. I'll put a glove under my left arm and to a bunch of drills -- fielding drills. Really help people improve quickly. One thing I like to do is I'll do I'll do drills at home you can make swings without it without a golf club I got him here have a place a call -- and -- I have two daughters and wife and he did -- -- -- -- But I go down and they -- and -- gonna smear and putting board down there and I'll I'll make on here trying to make a hundred practice swings doing what I wanna do without a golf club. But when I get to the range then and the maturity and can Green their feel and I'm really gonna focus on the mechanical part and that so much worry about. The flight I mean I'm obviously worried about the plate in the sound in all the feedback that I get from our practice but I wanna keep. Pounding away and they and once I feel I've achieved that I'm gonna move on to something else so you gotta go there with a goal and once you've achieved your goal move onto another another party game. The the club selection to start -- you know we mentioned that a lot of fuel to grant driver and go. Wouldn't you would say don't start with your driver right. No I you know I think the drivers one of the most important clubs in the bag you know it's great it in the fairway it's tough to play -- -- -- I know from the trees some time so but I think you wanna work up to the driver you know there. Though you start with shorter clubs trying to get some rhythm. The problem is you can fall in love with mansion the driver out there and then you -- a hundred drivers and you've you've created some some bad flaw and how bad flaws but some bad rhythm in your swing maybe start it too hard. The drivers a -- club. It's actually technically different swing when the golf ball is -- up that high. The swing differently at the ball when you're trying to compressor -- the golf ball off the -- it's a different swing the speaker swing yours your. Currently it's a compressing the golf ball like are squeezing it off the turf with the driver -- launching it often elevated T. It's a more -- motion so it's a little bit different motion people tend to be shallower media. We work with these plates go monitors now they give us a ton of information in the best iron players are actually swinging. Laughed and impacts lately make squeezing down into the turf with our irons in gonna swing a tiny bit right and on the upswing. With their drivers. So it is a different swings so. You do wanna hit drivers because the very important which you don't wanna spend your whole time just smashing drivers especially if you don't have a target. I like to pick a target at the end of -- range. Hit some drivers if I hit ten in a row inside those the parameters that I want with the flight I want and it's time to put the driver down in the work and someone else. Is that starting starting off with the wedges in 89 irons and then work your way up is that is that kind of up a good progression take or what single back and forth and simulate what what you would actually do. In the course of playing holes where you wouldn't hit a driver then maybe hit a middle to low iron and then and go from there or. I think that's another great way to practicing you're getting ready for a term in -- the golf course like I said you -- play the golf course in your mind on the driving range go back and forth between clubs. Hit different shots. The other thing I see people doing on the range to -- they hit too many of the same shot. You know I like to see if you're hitting high shots low shots low cut high draw. It's Federer it's Federer those that's a great way to get better to -- -- hit 200 balls with the same swing. I don't know how much you're helping yourself get better when your on the golf course. How often as your -- perfectly arranged he is on the golf balls are just sit right there -- -- normally got a little bit rough the ball a little bit downhill the winds blowing in a different direction the pins front right -- in fact left. And you're gonna hit shots more than you're just gonna make swings so I like to see people thing. Try to hit low draw -- high fade. And if you're hitting shots like that you tend to keep your swing in better shape if you hit all -- you tend to get steeper and steeper. If you results -- you tend to get shallower and shallower. So if you kind of working a little bit of of each shot then you tend to keep your swing morning neutral carrier neutral plane. I think one thing that I knows is is an issue for me is. I will hit what I would consider to be a shot that I'm extremely happy with -- and then. Realize OK and I as you'd say let's AM I'm hitting five iron and I he I'd love the last five -- it okay well. How was that different from the previous five that it didn't like so much and I know definitely that I'm guilty of it is. Okay and I actually making myself aware of what -- may be doing differently on that shot whether it's the grip the stance. The take back any of that sort of stuff from the previous five and maybe didn't go so well so. You know that's the thing I know that I've that any time I go to the range I'm trying to work on -- OK if as I go from maybe shot five the shot six have been in the same club here what. What I do is due today that I change something in my grip that a change in the in my stance -- my going to change something in my. Finish so that if I like they shot I'll note to try and maybe repeat that process and I think that's something that. Probably am I'm guessing I'm not alone in is that okay that shot was great I love it. But what I do -- do so that I can try to repeated again and and you know I think sometimes I know I'll forget to maybe make that assessment at a time for actually take the shot. Well I think it brings have a good point first of all. Leo as it has golf church weekly cam video we have high speed video. And you be surprised you hit these one -- we were when -- goes way left if I should TM video you probably couldn't tell the difference now. The club face is gonna control where the golf balls going. Second what were you working -- -- -- their fishing for a different idea between each swing. Then you're really not helping yourself get better if you're at the range if you know we you have consistent reliable feedback your lined up in the same spot you've got the same ball position -- -- working on the same drill. You get better feedback and -- American and the feedback is important. But you're not gonna get better if you're marketing consistent reliable feedback if you're just kind of thrown a ball down at this that you know then you're not gonna get much better. Now having said that I do like when people vary their targets on the arrangement with -- that's. You know you hit a low we've got multiple Green that are driving range one aim at this third -- at that target. But if you're just out their -- for different ideas and try and one thing when you're not the American get the feedback and are going to be able to improve yourself. And you won't understand why you're hitting point shy good in the other four. If you don't have that video feedback are you don't have an instructor there with you. Getting that feedback that I I would think it's very frustrated if you're not -- of well I don't think -- -- anything different from one shot to the next wide at one go well at 19. I'm wondering if you know sometimes that I think that's what probably. Makes people go away from golf for fervent few weeks or months at times because of that frustration -- not realizing. -- -- -- -- -- While I think obviously that's where your local PGA professional in the video can help bump also you know if you had a book or something like that you picking on any clues of what your great golf books out there. I think I recommend that Jim parties got this plain -- the golf great book if you're really really interested in becoming a better player. And then you just follow a certain path to getting better that's a great way to improve there there's no straight line improvement in golf there are no switches are triggers. And gators peaks and valleys in your just always trying to work in the right direction. But if you if you get frustrated you know sometimes it's good time to put the clubs down switch clubs walked away. Go work on your chipping and putting could you can't get in a bad router bad rhythm. And in you don't wanna sit there and and have that negative feedback in that you know all those. You -- anchor the positive thoughts and you want and not -- those negative thoughts so if you're having a bad day and you're struggling. Walk away go chip and putt do something that you do well for a little while mine come back to that later and and see if you see if you do better. 32 answer here you got three ball five balls left. Your vision of how do you wanna finish the -- -- -- to walk -- years are feeling good these -- return into the picture so if I'm in great advice that I would bring Jeff fun here is the expert but it's really good shot at that. I only got three left there so you're saying that -- I have one ball left and I -- it. Running out three feet into the range dodging other people's -- to grab the ball so I finish for the good ones not the I thought that the the safety hazard and as a safety net especially if that's. Exactly. How -- may come on it's. You gotta. Be honest out there if you hit your last shot and -- Duff the -- run out grab -- ball real fast and somebody this. Right if this for the good one. Right I've obviously if there's somebody next -- Mary you know make sure they're not looking very. Good one here met W. On Twitter says -- put on a question what's the funny the news into the driving range he broke back my driving. I've seen people -- -- behind them when they topic it bounces forward and with the amount -- -- -- it -- back to back away from that and that's interesting trying to -- Anything you wanna talk about in terms of practice before you around at the driving range we welcome your -- 8030550. We're gonna give away foursome to blue hair and hills golf club in Rochester. Very very shortly -- -- -- this year and also hear from tiger on why he won't be playing the weekend. And -- quell hollow and Charlotte is another update for Matthew and we're back with more on our golf show with Jeff mean -- I'm rankles Neil this is WG. My turn up. It takes -- Eventually come. -- have my assurance. All right there's Tiger Woods there and with Tom and LT from ESPN and maybe he should listen to be -- right and might. A lot of time to do so that's began the go home and listen -- single song if you want the over and over and over Tiger Woods there are missing the cut. He will not be playing this weekend here at the Wells Fargo more on that here one moment final segment of our golf show every Saturday from 78 thank you being with us. Rankles along with PGA pro Jeff -- And we are talking about practice and we got a like Allen Iverson practiced were talking about practice here. Got a good text and hear from Gary you'll get a second but we wanna give away. Another three foursome of golf -- three golf is good and arts to hearts awesome Bryant told her thank you from blue -- hills golf course. Out of Rochester and if you would like to play blue hair and it's a great course. You can give us a call right now will take the fifth -- 803. 0555. Caller 8030550. Is the number for a free foursome. Two blue -- hills golf club in Rochester. And again and again thanks to a Bryant vulnerable get the the name again the winner here and go to that second. To tiger in a moment but the text in here about practicing. Gary says. And it's definitely take this Heidi approach around if nothing seems to this feel right when -- warming up on the range. Yeah there's days when you're gonna get to the team you're not gonna have much -- and so I guess some what I like to do is rely on my my routine. And and just focus on the process at that point you know you get it's we collar grind in and out some days you have it in some days you don't see just you go through your routinely get a free throw shooter would have a our pre shot routine you have a pre shot routine in golf. And you just hit a bad shot you can you focus on the positives that day you know off the ball goes offline or whatever hey I still got a shot I still got to swing I can still make par from here. And and sometimes you can turn around there's lots of days you've been on the range and you hit it like garbage in here on the first team need to start striking it down so you never know what's gonna happen. And you never know what's gonna happen throughout the course of around you can start off poorly and have you know have a great back -- you'd start off great never really for backpack I'm. I'm evidence of that but it. But that's what I would do I would just focus on the -- positive and grind it out as much as I came in some of those rounds of the most rewarding. Absolutely -- Gary thanks that was the tax company could text this to 55550. Or arsonists that -- if you're on Twitter brightly GR of course Leo with. Welcome your phone call 8030 fight if you will we heard from tiger there. He won't play the weekend at the Wells Fargo where he's won before. 7173. And missed the cut by a shot. Got a little help on one of the holes on his. Finishing nine yesterday. Hit a ball off that -- and the into the crowd. And it and have not been found the ruling was that the game a free drop for that Jeff and it was a good thing because it kept them alive but he could not make a birdie he went par par par all the way through on its final finals could not get just that one birdie. To get himself the play the weekend is the course that he's dominated that and it's played extremely well in the past end. We'll have a a big tournament. And now with a lot of big names but now with the biggest name of all woods will not play this weekend. -- I still think he struggled with his putter and short game -- a -- a lot of analysts on the Golf Channel -- you know his wedge play is not what used to be and his chipping and pitching imploding as -- What it used to be that's for sure like a that he was the best short game player in the year for world for years. Now he he he seems to be struggling there I think once he gets comfortable with a swing maybe can dedicate a little more time be a little more creative around the greens. He does seem a little mechanical to me. He's still the biggest story in golf whether he makes the cutter not so I'd like to see him play well just they have the TV ratings and we'll see what he does it TPC sawgrass -- the place I've played it's pretty fun to watch them and and we'll see -- they do next week. You know let's let's talk about the players -- we -- -- to left here next week one of the biggest tournaments that most expensive tournament terms of that. The the prizes that are coming out the is that the biggest pool. Money wise and the players love this is as they -- -- their term and in a lot of people like the label this the the quote on quote fifth major. It's a course that I think people love to watch them because they know it does like Augusta right for as great as the US open as the go to the reason that I think the masters to. It's so well liked it because it's about the course and everybody knows the holes and you know how -- all gonna play out and similarly sawgrass probably second in line in this in the fact that people know how it finishes people of course the island Green. It's a lot of love from everybody but that's finishing stretch that he's got such in such great drama sixteen. Where it's an eagle possibility but it's also disaster because -- you've got water in and a ton of bunkers around the Green seventy of course the island broke hole so much drama there eighteenth -- and then eighteen a very tough drive yet on with the water all on the left the dogleg left there so. What what are we expecting there and you played the course so how is that finishing stretch. Oh it's a lot of -- you know it was fun to play because you've seen mature players play it and and get now on seventeen that -- commercially it was pretty need to play it was a lot of fun. The rest of the golf course is really really good to. And from what I understand of course was designed for television mine and it works great. Every hole there's there's a new challenge out there it's very scenic a lot of regulation in the fairway. The greens some of the little short par fours even the greens are just really really difficult. You know you can you can score out there though if you can putt because you do have some especially for these guys -- -- some shorter clubs in their bag and you might think now a lot of these holes it doesn't play as long as it did -- when it was designed -- so. Last year lot of the big European guys didn't play like Rory and Lee Westwood knows if they're playing this year which is good the only real. I guess it's a disappointment Bubba Watson did back out this week want to spend time of the Stanley -- that more because it is -- new birth of his child so and -- and you want these the masters champion but. They expect to have like 48 of the top fifty. Playing there which is the article Dustin Johnson the other -- you know -- -- -- coming up an injury but -- this is one of the best fields that you get all year. Yeah this is great theater you know this is one of the five weeks that we we'd like to. Get in front of the TV on Sunday in and sit down relax and watch what happens -- you -- to be something exciting someone's gonna make an eagle someone's gonna make a double some something some funds gonna happen and and whoever wins that's really gonna change your life figure to be exemption they get a ton of money. And and it's a great great career boost forms out there to be finalized. KJ Choi the defending champ and will be target heavily about the players next week on Mother's Day weekend. Jeff enjoy your day thanks so much hey thank you on the -- back from -- absolutely are winner today. Is Zacks bees and -- congratulations you won the foursome to a blue area heels. Golf club Kentucky Derby coverage today not double addition a sports talk Saturday.
