It is not only exciting to see the good weather here Jeff but I -- you and I were coming in discussing. There's a lot of exciting events not only coming up -- seem -- -- locally coming up but no we've got the LPGA in Rochester coming up and a couple of weeks the junior masters is coming up in East Aurora -- for a couple -- before we know what a lot of course Monroe invitational. Clubs or -- there. You know getting their full swing going -- the other chairman schedule and things like that. The our junior tour is doing real well we got that our members -- you -- camp into 13 times already so it's it's been an exciting start of the season. Absolutely. I think that you know when you talk about the excitement of maybe being a member at a club or being in men's club at a course or something like better. Women's club or whatever events that you can maybe get yourself in any -- that does it adds the excitement and the buzz of being on the golf course in an up part of something. Regardless of what the scale is -- I think you know you get excited about that it's. PGA tour. Aria -- what you do when you're trying to compete against your peers. There's always that little letters which are the first team no matter what earlier at the and it's it's -- that's the I guess that's why is you know that's why hit some balls in and hit to have a little something play for a team in the weeks. Absolutely we got a great show today and we got a lot of stuff to get to including buffalo native and Champions Tour player lining Elson. Now we're excited to talk to him today he'll be with us in our second segments -- at about 730 so. And make sure that you witness there YE a great guy who has joined the show in the past is that coming on to update us. On his golf game and does everything else that's going on Lonnie Nielsen doing. There's -- -- player that come out of buffalo however was that are these from Iowa actually go out measure but living environment yeah I would. I would say he's -- that stands down. Here -- had the most success -- mark Allen was wonderful for years still is playing out there. Some of the old timers in award wet laughter. A woman and our club Nancy Smith he might be a few maybe in this discussion in my via -- conversation we -- have one of these days Nielsen himself. Has. Made over five million dollars just on the Champions Tour. Alone we wish to is. Five point one million more than I've made on the front torso. Well at least -- Adam you know that given -- you're talking a few weeks ago I drew your game it's priceless islet cell vehicle that's right absolutely. Pro -- this week so we're looking forward to talking with -- -- let him coming out at 730. Pro seeing this week as. A name at the top Jason Duff that are. At the Byron Nelson and one shot back met coach here two shots back Keegan Bradley there's some big names there we're gonna hear from both players here in just one moment but. The Byron Nelson championship leads us to what will be excited about for next week's show Jeff tells a little bit about that yeah we're gonna have us. He Parker he's the head professional or want the country released down there right now doing Darrell survey so he's gone three players -- they go to the -- he mechanical of their plan. He was also via lead instructor over Firestone he's got a ton of experience who knows what these guys say he should be real interesting you should have some good stories for us. So that'll be next week so in order that and a couple weeks after that we'll have. LPGA talk is people locust hill getting themselves ready for the LPGA championship in Rochester and a we'll have a full coverage of that the week of the events now as we said than the other local events getting going so make sure that -- -- -- for all the good local talk here. In golf news on WGR every Saturday from 78 are. Before we talk about what's going on at this week's pro scene last week players championship pretty good finish. And -- -- they they call Matt Ryan the quarterback from the falcons -- a place by Mac switchers could also have that nickname Matty ice he. Seems to be able to handle these situations. Pretty well and he did so in a pressure scene at the players. Last week it looked a little sketchy in the -- around for a bit there it seemed like he might just started thinking about what might happen if he wins this event but he he put the -- to the male -- finish it off pretty nicely I thought he. Real solid swing it looks like he can't miss it too far offline. He's been in that situation before he's won a couple times so. I think I thought it was his to lose and I thought he played he played very well I wasn't surprised as men effect I think I might predicted that summer -- remind people of economic predictable -- the wrong ones in the future. Yes I'll officially goldmans and the record you both but couture went so. Yes get that out there because will be will be shared it somehow predictions of how some I'll met you you didn't. That was the one that was like the ten seconds that the last week's show we don't have audio from right the part where he. Funny right. -- -- -- that adds absolutely this week's prediction will be just visible so yes the the the tournament itself. For whatever reason it seems like an ongoing trying to that the leader heading in has a rough day and Kavanagh. Who played in the final -- shot 76 did not do that well and -- which are waiting. He was probably maybe even more so the guy that was talked about more than anybody because of the time that it took for him to swing his -- as we mentioned a little last week but Johnny Miller seemed to. Bring it up quite often during the broadcast over the course of the weekend it was talk. From players in fact Tiger Woods it's -- about the fact that he thinks that. Slow play for golf is a bad thing that he -- right now we're trying to promote the game. And he went on to talk about affect that he thinks that you know Kevin got to do something about it. And met future although I don't know but it should. He sure looks like he's trying to do something about it he -- about he's discussing and I mean we've all been there we've been over shot you just it's not comfortable. And if you're playing for that type of that -- determine that type of person I don't offer to pull the trigger -- wasn't comfortable. He we he made mainstream media it's filtered it filtered long he was as golf that Taylor jokes during her. The only -- talk about chuck Cox for Kevin not he is not -- limits on purpose he's heaven. A little demon and that he just can't pull -- when he does Pulitzer he comes up with shots that. Puts him in. Contention for the first he thought -- be the one that would slow him down the most seat he's got -- -- Rick hello gentlemen up here real did you meet once swing the -- he can view over the top out of our. I was listening to some of the coverage on on PGA tour radio two and you can tell the guys were Stalin I mean. That it they don't have obviously the eight of the CD camera showing the lag -- and and the back off than it. I give the guys credit you know it as you know it's not easy to use to to announce that golf on the radio to start with I give him full credit -- wonderful job but. As not approaching the ball I mean he could be sitting there -- 3040 seconds if it actually pulls the trigger on it. Was he on the clock that we can think he put on the clock once on Saturday after Saturday man. So he I mean they give you they give you 45 seconds I think it is between shower -- to address the ball hit the shot that's quite a bit of time he had an art expert. And the first if you're the first stuff are there -- that's thirtieth after. The ruling out any team was interesting -- to see that he hit that ball right at the cart path. And Malia and he got to drop in the Craig was in a whole part what have your freezer it was an act. Car tire people thought that he might be taking a drop from cart path but. Com he was given the choice she can from one of the release situations he chose from the cart from the tires. Damage which put him -- his -- one relief would have been on the carpet he chose to drop on the carpet of course he could hit from there. And not have to take relief when he chose that -- and mark thought I was just get some kind of free drop in Atlanta but he and then you take in order so he -- clearly from that he could have taken relief from the carpet at but he goes Brady wouldn't that lives now. -- -- -- Often you mentioned the clock. And he said this week while he's playing the Byron Nelson that. It would be interesting to have a shot clock he said. How about it certain places you have the one of those three footers you miss it -- seven feet coming back it be interesting to have that shot clock out there. And and they asked him well how long would you want -- he said just the rules of golf forty seconds and he said he thought it would add elements. To the game of having that shot clock to run ticket in the background. They evidence or the eighteenth green with the -- there you go through the crowd. -- -- I was. And I that's a -- have a nice -- shot -- you know he misses one start listening to. I like it. Couture this week's play it well and he's ready intention one off the lead at the Byron Nelson and here is. The players champion Mets pitcher after his round yesterday. What's he talking about -- Bermuda rough. It stinks it's early yeah it is control's been. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- just sits down and you were around here we can use the advance it pretty good if you get I mean it doesn't look like much you may have our time but in the -- iron down the fairway and some of that stuff so it's it's pretty nasty. Mac culture continues a -- human 18 am that guy prints money. Well he shell to -- he's gonna show him actually feet he's in the rough it's going to be more difficult for player -- -- -- players get out of the -- little bit better cello players really can struggle from. -- good advice though let's talk about that guy's going to play there in the rough today and that shot that you wanna take who should you know regardless of -- truck trying goes a little steeper on it to get it out a little closer to the ball that -- Priscilla. More Maria Ferris wheel type of golf swing rather than -- -- you around and you get a little steeper -- Pakistan that probably. The thing I see people do they take too little loft so you know they're going to be turner punch it under a tree or something like that and then take a three Iron Man in the rough they just don't have enough -- together -- and or when their -- up. They have too much club and don't -- up you know you're gonna lay up when Nicklaus -- -- yeah. Yet -- between two clubs anywhere around us hurt you if you between seven and Maynor hit. The eight iron place knowing yeah when -- up or you know -- in the rough Jews take a swing you don't have to lay back and and when -- into the trees -- people league they take people immediately -- three iron or four or some may not have enough loft. Make sure you have enough loft together on that line that you're in first one trick I've found is that thing if you can potentially hit that shot in the ball they hit on the call these tend not to go to hide so. That's one way to keep your shots down after pitching out of the trees on some of an expert on that also you intentionally or unintentionally. Yes. One thing though that I think and maybe it just comes with maturity of being on the golf courses that when I was. Playing probably in my in my younger days of our you know missing a drive in your in rough. It was always there. I -- and I get this back on the green you know for shot to normal par four instead of thinking. -- now the approach of what's the best way to still keep hard play him. Problem majority of time it's it's possibly that punch out or. Just that safer shot it may but I was I was always so consumed a -- get this up on the screen instead of in a lot. Forty yards short. I know one is. I forty yards short of the green I know I have like -- 95% chance of doing that. And then IQ if I can just hit a good pitch I got my eyes I still at a very reasonable chance to -- myself part whereas. If I go you know try to hit this shot that maybe is a 5050 shot and doesn't go well. Now I got the double stare me in the face possibly if I don't get it out or that you know catches up and also on the way in. And done humane and it's something -- know that I've tried to train myself always the let's and I. I'm not gonna hit. Eighteen perfect tee shots -- not that good so at some point I have to make -- have to make those Smart decisions and that's been something I know I've been trying to battle it. Well known at eighteen perfect -- the and the you think you mean happy forty yards for some people at the year so people have forty -- beat her -- her bag so obviously if it meaningful way into your strength he had. Adding I don't think about that enough and maybe a lot of people on either is that shot that -- shot in news. Especially on par fives some times. I'm always thinking of just how far -- hit and I know that's always not the best idea because of what you exactly say. Sometimes others think well I know I'm not reaching it so okay and what's the club that -- what's the -- is that the farthest. And there's probably holes maybe that's okay but there's also hold me to where it's not okay. Or depends on the left layup on the right side of the fairway little things like that they helped me be the difference you make a birdie there're good par there and it gives you little momentum and then that it's now. Absolutely yeah that. Thought of the shot after the shot you're taking some meaning it's good -- to think about a little more -- -- Geoff -- -- -- you with us here on the golf show. Jason -- they're leading this week at the Byron Nelson and he's at minus seven. Big names that minus six regarding her for Mac future. At minus five. Is another big name. Last year's rookie of the year and PGA. Champion Keegan Bradley is to back. And let's get Keegan slots he's been -- up and down this year but in contention this week. Tonight so there's Bradley himself and and a little up and down but I think I guess we know he has a lot of potential to become one of the best players on tour. Yeah like question and plays a washed our or -- is -- added he's gets a lot of speed DC grind out every shot he's really engaged and every shot that he hits out there he is finalized. He stopped speaking of a couple of weeks ago -- in the -- that was his little. Pre shot routine and ordered the PGA tour pulls aside okay. Opinion that's been on TV please. Now tiger got in trouble for the go ahead and proceed as -- -- -- on the yes bitten right in the cup on that but. I couple minutes left here in this segment and and don't forget Lonnie Nielsen buffalo native Champions Tour player coming up next segment here. On our golf show with him in Japanese Branko deal before we get to break though let's get in. Some local results Jeff some of the term -- and you wanna share -- about. Yeah we've had us some of the -- your PGA events we've had lately yesterday rob or action at a nice 69 at Stafford to win Han -- Sutherland from a -- won the Western New York over the 69 up in Niagara Falls. Couple weeks ago when Webster Jeff came from living thing with a nice 71. Like I think injure Kempton he's won a couple junior events are ready. Our assistance events one was one -- Cody Andrea fit. Brookfield my -- actually won won it transit Bailey we've had. The Berkeley -- pro -- was Alex we're in my classy one that that was a nice score 65 over Berkeley that's pretty good -- even in the better ball. And I noticed they may read about beyond the PD GA the match plays those mingle well -- Some of the matches are pretty tight decline over TCB decision this -- and nice place to play some real good players and that events and I scores being shot so. It's good to see golfers in mountain we've got some really really good players and -- New York I don't think people realize how many guys we put on the -- -- and everything else you -- How many guys we hear from the senior tour from our section we've got your three guys that remain the senior tour and our section. Other than Florida or California agreement be number one in that category so we had some good players. One quick tweeting here this coming in from Jeremy and Tim will let you -- first hear that in -- you guys discussing the rough in the rough. And you wanna hit a low shot possibly underneath underneath the tree branches what kind of swing at the might look at -- here you can usually if you want a ticket low club. I usually say are we gonna grab a foreign don't trying to put anything close a rough gonna do it for you so you can open up. A lower lofted club movement back in the stance and it's gonna with that -- -- it's going to be a steeper swing plane. And that can usually keep it down low for -- but it's gonna have a little bit more -- it and get out of that rough. And tibia to launch if you had a have to monitor for just one thing but to. Most people take they include the club a five aren't that turns it in about three and -- -- -- McCain -- through the rough -- -- -- opened up just a little bit. Move -- back in his stance Jeff. Get a -- determines everything you know if you have a good -- you have a lot more options if you have a bad lies you have. Much stuff here it you know in the rough and the bad lie that you need to keep below it's yeah it's not an easy one yet infinitely quicker route to commence in pitch it out -- CB to make. Par from the fairway the device. I seven's morning. Let's get to sports here with Matthew when we come back Lonnie Nielsen Champions Tour player. And look at -- talked to a lot so that's coming up next segment if you got tweak U wanna get in here with a question for either timber for Jeff. -- at Brian WGR if you wanna get in on the calls. You can do so after round with -- 8030550. Back with more of the WGR golf show right after this. 728. Is the time good morning it is our WGR golf show rankles with you Jeff. I mean it's binary let's in the DMX didn't he did not blocking actually said that was the only way you would c'mon only -- his stances that we bumped back with with. The good thing he was still on the phone at that point. Otherwise he might have hung up on earth now on you wouldn't -- that he's a great guy seven -- time here on our golf show. Up player may have shot what summer saying as the lowest round in gulf recorded history. If -- here this story over the last day or two we'll get to that. Coming up at 745. But let's get right to our guest. A man that many in the buffalo golf world know very well Champions Tour player Lonnie Nielsen is on the line good morning -- -- thanks for being with us it is Tim freeze -- mean -- rankles that we're all here with the Lonnie thanks for coming on good morning landing. Good morning line -- they're gonna matter if you're our great thanks. Bonnie what's what's the latest with with what's going on with the UN though many in the buffalo area especially those that have been following year career so far. And media I know you join our golf show here and LBJ are at times over the past couple years. Now what's the latest on what it's going on with your golf game. Where LA area and he replaced -- couple years ago July of 2010 and then down that's come along pretty good I'm back playing a little bit the medical extension like that didn't work out very well for me from the -- Champions Tour. But I am back peck at it. I am doing -- Monday qualify and trying to get some sponsors exemptions and I've been lucky enough and I'm gonna actually get for the next -- Germans. Actually earn my way into the players championship as well as senior PGA which coming up next week. And I got a sponsor's exemption into -- Into a couple other -- so excited to get back back to work. Needs you good. The woman -- -- players doing great I'm I'm unfortunate got a little cartilage tear in my other Meehan I'm gonna struggle with it at the moment but. Our preparation -- -- when a plane now -- -- it's that allows you to do that any racial. Come along all right technical program that have surgery to get there. Repaired. Later and then later -- Like how tough is that I mean I'm sure you're not alone on the Champions Tour that not only are guys battling. Trying to perform their best with their golf swing but the fact of just. Physical things that happen your body and I'm sure you're not alone right I'm sure there's other stories from. Other Champions Tour players that are going through this thing. We have a physical therapists were several matches that the travel whipped us on our tour and some challengers there's quite a line to get into so. I'm not alone -- in hours as we get older at this stage storage and like there's something going on so are. You know it's just part of it got to play through it then trigger later may be showing a little bit there are some days because this makes things that. It's it's intimate thing it's gonna keep me from from playing and competing here and actually reached. He knew may be money for those that are here you for the first time I'd just talk about your connection to buffalo and I know that the guys that have sit with your Jeff and Tim know all about your background but. Maybe there's -- -- here for the first time that hasn't heard much about it just Telus your connection to Western New York. Well back in the late seventies early eighties I was born on the -- on the PGA tour. And we have pro am correct -- -- We come from Toronto our -- to. Two at Binghamton for the next event which happened buffalo player pro am here on Monday. And that's -- at the -- a lot of people creek -- 1983. I said it's I've been planters six years and decided that an amount that is was -- get more I wanted to go with a golf game so. I was you know figure about don't my other things it's not about -- stockbrokers. I had applied to a couple of sure a couple of up germs in in Iowa which is where it throughout. And that he was really coming together and then I got a -- and Eric Gerlach credits that the -- -- golf weapon. And rightly command an interview and wanting it to another and now we moved out here in the march of 1984. Financially just I love the area. This is this -- -- now -- We razor -- treat children here and in my right right all the way from Iowa came up to both slope and I could get her out of western new York and we love it here. Excellent and it's it's a cool story and I know that everybody in the buffalo golf community is a proud that your offense and playing golf and it's the family transition and all that sort of stuff. Tell that I know that we hear that so much from from any tour player regardless of whether it's LPGA PGA chief mr. player that. It's a commitment from the family to two to be a successful golfer write that they've got to give up some stuff in order to be supported. Well that's for sure. When I was when I was turned fifty expect where I guess there's 48 we sit down as a family and Arturo. You know Mary Joseph which Hitler was that I wanted to do when I needed their support to. To do that. And restore our youngest what sort of home and I was gonna miss a lot in his junior and senior year is Sharia. I'm gonna try to play in the Champions Tour. Erin they all were right behind me and very supportive and our window without a structure. It laden you told you told a story on time but in agree with with Nicklaus. Is that true US set -- Hammond that you had a pretty good year plain and some majors some like any mention. That's right actually against and to tell me on the phone. And was gonna are gonna hit it in an interview for a -- Xbox -- Chechnya elections we're live in. -- very close they're in Jupiter during the winter months. And I don't waste problem a threat to expect that -- me -- -- this basic course. So marriage orient me the -- hours outside grilling and she says all the average citizen -- check. And the leadership of -- their Olympics NGOs. I think it might be. Internet I can on the -- and in the -- respect. I registered their conversations but that's. We talked quite a -- about the the -- hatchet job. I told that are so important and needed to play some it was a large part of my here income at the time and it is -- -- just. You know they were more registered somebody the end there aren't on you know weekly basis and sort or something that then. That is sort of right for me -- time. It was I've known for quite awhile course played you know plan on the regular tour. I actually played in an exhibition with him back and early nineteen. I was still on the amateurs -- nineteen six. And or read about 101000 people following one group and or nickel ratio certain. The error Iowa professional here they are amateur years it was a very memorable they actually. You probably had a lot of memorable days that is taking Denny first -- to Augusta National up on that list. Just about anything you get an interest memorable that you are here again -- yesterday -- like -- actually -- that play expect a few years -- -- when I brought it down there. We played with speed the Austro are there -- that I don't think it or seeing like any first ever have. -- that's your 736 time Lonnie -- with us Champions Tour player and -- you mentioned we'll just assess about the planet just. When people may be invested this question before but what's your favorite course to play. Is is a gust of one that's maybe want near the top of the list her or which is one that you say this is the course I love the most. I think the back nine to -- is probably the most strong that you could have. The risk reward on every shot there is is just incredible but. I always put you know Pebble Beach up but the top the list to machinery there and so incredible and it's and it's a particular golf course as well so keep that that this scenery untapped market the golf course is it's sort of the chart the. I think I think Pebble Beach for many -- the -- you mentioned Pebble Beach in Augusta -- for those that dispute that watch some of these on TV. Would probably be some like and I know money every time around here when -- only I know oak hill's gonna post. The PGA championship. Next year we were discussing the LPGA event -- in Rochester locust hill. And you mention of course -- burn I think that might be. What people would say could actually buffalo post some sort of regular events but I have no not even necessarily saying a PGA tour stop but. Do you think Fred -- could do it and do you think even just buffalo itself you know the golf community here probably well enough is this. An area that it could pull an event like this off at some point down the road. Oh I think I think sure for sure. In 1990. They had an opening for the US senior open. And we got wind of it and at I have the you wish you a commander in. And -- the players and look replaced over -- we're also getting an event. And they just felt like we were -- -- lacking and in some of the facilities that we're that were needed at the time and we certainly are gonna spend some money. I don't know that our club that the we're willing to do. That particular time but. I think pure electric burners and much better shape financially and certainly the golf persons -- -- to -- to not we could definitely can host an event there. The golf courses I I think corner of throw one of the greats in the country. So. You know whether or not that'll overcome the past who knows but -- certainly the possible. Oslo area would be a great -- that the to have an event and I think it's the cnet's senior open -- senior PGA should be just stick to act in place. -- -- goes back to -- of their money for the senior and the that's the wrong for me in -- our. We if we have. What we have 7000 or will polished player and it occurred in just over 71 -- now. And for our majors. Oh lead will play as much as seventy choose sometimes -- assembly 300 so. You know they they use everyone -- every inch of that -- and we might even. Turn a couple of the par fives are little on the short side in the. But before we let you go here I know you got many fans here in the buffalo area that would love to follow yeah what what your schedule like and he said for the next five. Terms of it. Any of the majors coming up you said you qualify. Qualified to it to get into the -- the senior PGA are the champions PGA what what are the events coming up that we can follow it. Well the next the next two weeks -- -- senior PGA isn't that our government and Andy and new -- scores. That is probably next weekend of course -- for around turmoil we have cut for a firm majors. And the following week is in the morning Iowa principal charity classic. And again I grew up an island I was looking at his sponsor's exemption there. It's on a course that I absolutely blows. I led the tournament. Many times after dale I think 3 or where I -- -- after they won it. Never was able to close the deal and I hear he nurtured like Quebec they're playing like -- -- -- like anarchy and because. I get a lot of support spec they're being -- -- support back there or not. Greg about Angeles -- idea. At the atom TV -- you ready for. The preakness. So. You're in a horse racing today. One of the the events of the Triple Crown vehement in line with the low score either shouted yes and it's pretty -- we should I was sitting on that in our rights. The reason we're talking about that is if you haven't heard the story government does the a couple of days ago. Buying it on a course out in Oklahoma a mini tour golfer. Shoots what some are saying could be the lowest round ever recorded in golf history. 855. On a par 71 course just two yards short of 6700. Yards. At a gentleman's name is trying to Gibson. Started off with a pair pars and -- shooting 29 on the front 26 on the pack with two Eagles. 2629. Together makes fifty. Five to fifty that retirement lately too tall cast it as well. Incredible said that from Gibson quote. I'm trying to think to myself what actually happened I guess I got hot and every putt I hit went in -- thank. 212 birdies. Two Eagles no bogeys at the summer for a lot of people. Battles that way a lot of good players that the summer human right there and that's. All right so the first question I gotta post this on Twitter two days ago and I just did it again if you wanna see the story actually you can see. The scorecard he's got two guys with them what's probably shot pretty good rounds of this rise in months and we played with shot 69 and this Eric fox shows that any force so. If you actually see the scorecard in the story about it I just posted at three minutes ago on Twitter. You can check it out follow me there at Bryant -- GR. Thought instantly. I got my posted this on Thursday got some tweets back that gave -- the old. Right. Fifty but what do we think -- -- legit this media tour player -- with two other guys that obviously play well is this should we believe it and say good for him or is there you think there's something going on. There I think it can happen I can hear me and I know it in a -- get out at night some time journal carton you're just -- around sometimes you play your best golf when you with your buddies in your just not thinking about anything just go play golf. It can happen need to go sixteen under his last sixteen meant to be very the first two but. That. Has stuffed the Fed them I guess I guess at some point you start thinking about it may need you Maceda. But maybe the best part was -- with some buddies are zooming around could be part in and you don't think about it if it's an event. -- thinking about it. Unfortunately but it. If you're just killed when you get in a way that hey every pot you if you hit justice Rolen in the green speech -- -- form that day I doubt he would painted the scrutiny you'd be under -- is this a shot fifty and not have shot 55 would -- create a lot of lot of pressure I doubt they're just making that -- that would be surprising -- -- hearing they're pretty good players what was his last hole. Was that a birdie. His last hole was a birdie effect he. He after powering ten. He went eleven through eighteen with only Eagles and thirties with the eagle eleven and thirteen. Birdied twelve and then fourteen through eighteen he birdied them all and that's good. -- were able to go yet -- And if you make our national 56000. Ready so he said. Speaking of songs that you like here he. Had a -- had a song in his head all day -- wasn't even nervous going down the stretch of this round. He's an Australian player. He set I I had this the song in my head of it didn't make me think about the -- it's the new one from the Eli young bang our studies UC minute work. Now. -- since said he fully admitted he's not PGA tour ready just yet. But he says he's hoping that at the very least this intentional maybe get him to refocus. On his game. And to make things even more interesting Gibson was using a new club for the first time Cleveland classic 290 driver. The -- in his bag price for awhile now he -- myself. Few of those from that little -- -- -- -- -- scores are produced for. Drivers that produces that potter so whatever believe he was used in the end don't consider that and yeah that's true could you can integrate and three putted you know and how many times we had to close -- 34 feet and you can't we let in he must and we don't mean from. Everywhere. So they put a lot so would've been cool to be in his group and watch him do that you know you stay out of his way. But you're watching history -- that's Italy and he's he's 26 years old from Australia. And now living in the United States and Oklahoman and it was at the river oaks golf club. I'm in Oklahoma. And the scorecard somebody picked it up. I guess and it's been posted. And now so I guess CBS they said at some point during the course of those golf coverage -- weekend plans on talking about it -- Well. When I was at Lancaster could -- my assisting Kevin Murray had to hole in ones around that made -- faces in the crowd and then I guess he hit -- two where he had what holes. He was number four and number eight and Lancaster country governor apparently hit it to like four feet and I'm fourteen. I'm enacted in -- played those holes. Five under. While he and he didn't have a great round he said he was a little nervous after the holes and though the youth he's a pretty long par three that's impressive yes been there were witnesses and everything else so that's that was pretty cool that made Sports Illustrated faces in the crowd he came in a little. He looked like some bad had happened but it was I think the shock -- what -- just happened to them so that oddly put the odds and that it's ridiculously. Long odds just to make one he made to. How have you had one I have not had one that it wants him -- a couple permanent council -- write down what how many holes and one. For. Kenneth Salma although there I've -- for having had a scholar nominee for you. And I've had no -- I've -- him. -- -- -- He's -- -- this argument now. Fifth fifth fifth. Hey there listen I know we Jerry solvent always gets a part time from from chairman -- in the morning show about. His hole in one how recently used a driver on like a 130 our whole side. Yeah I got friends that have five and -- expect -- so and so on that argue Jeff with you because I argue it with -- at times it. Had a hole when on your card that's it anyway from your four times and here. Is this outside. You don't have -- -- one to be lately Google for a thing. Right on the agree with you harm but you really like second -- -- to have -- -- Freddie couples was slightly in his career before it won't rule bending it five years something like today we hadn't had any. -- some of these pros when they play that looked at par three at Augusta they they have them all funnels that there is all that excitement that some of them end up making Koppel in those days that answer -- point -- of the US open Tokyo. There's a short par four at the park club on the back nine right dumped it in the creek and then pitched in my am my third so that doesn't count let that man. There was that the accompanist. I well if we have -- -- one this week will reported next week and if anybody out there listening to the hole in one your obligations to policy next week and tells about. We're out of time next week Steve Parker PGA pro from -- -- who's that down from the Darrell survey at the Byron Nelson you're looking for new -- to hear about that this week -- -- golf pro so check out our show if you missed any of it at WGR 550 dot com click on the on their tab and delete your golf. -- Golf coverage page for -- collar Tim -- -- -- is I'm -- -- thanks for being with us hobby coming up next at -- show and we'll have more -- -- next week at seven.
