Santana throwing a no hitter that I thought that the guy -- -- that each -- on. Oh my god that you don't notice they're so. I was so nervous that I edit but I don't think I broke the rules. Okay well again we'll get -- pass on that one and what was the last couple of innings like for you really when he got down to six outs then five in the countdown. It was torture. It'll -- eight. Wasn't as bad I just I wanted to get to the ninth -- -- -- and that I'd be god like you're gonna break it up you'd rather see it broken up and in the eight not a night I just I wanted to make it to the ninth to have a chance because honestly. I'm sure you're thinking. What necklace the last time the Mets pitcher even got denying -- but don't try to they ever have won but how close was. And then in the ninth inning to put the note up on the screen it was actually 1970. Which I didn't realize that wandered out. 1975. Well I know that they've had some terrific pitchers over the years it's amazing to think this team. Has never thrown one considering all the tremendous need hall of fame pictures really that come through. That organization it's just got to -- there is a little bit luck involved in it and I think in the ninth inning. You know we had the the running catch by coming in on the ball in center field that take away possibly a basic but how about. The plane I think it was the sixth inning what did you feel about that did you see when it happened where can I do all -- -- -- No I didn't see it I had no idea that it happened until after the game and let it stop. He went through that organization never had a no hitter Chile left it what the New York Yankees. That's what Howard was talking about but it's got to be a great feeling of euphoria for that to happen. And you know he's got -- for a guy like Howard he knows that at the at for a long time he's -- have been waiting -- out to be a met in -- in any doubt that -- is impossible they haven't had enough I don't think they exist and if they did they were all gone after 2006. Right eight. I'm the subway series actually went to one of those games. When the Yankees played the match that was about. Maybe the last time -- it could really get excited. And the thirteen was either good or doing something special but of course they want losing that series to the New York Yankees but now Matt. This leaves there's two trivia question now they get answered. Number one the obvious answer Johan Santana first match ever Mets pitcher never threw a no hitter. Yep they're the only other team I don't know hitter which is you know. -- got I think maybe at some point -- there stadium in the pitchers that they bring in it. Somebody's got to have a chance but. It's it's a difficult feat but it's happens 345 times a year and it's amazing you gotta be Eddie couldn't do it obviously there's been pitchers who have. Pretty much thrown a no hitter and then on into oblivion we never heard of them. But generally you gotta be pretty darn good they get to that point we also have some luck involved what's your take on the sixth inning plate on the line last night. Well you know how can you not talk about it when it comes up you know you talk about this no hitter you can't just ignore that. There was a ball that hit the line that should have been fair but at the same time how many. How many other no hitters perfect games we know our -- Galarraga had one. 23 years ago where he had a perfect game there's a bad call the call the safe cell. I mean in the history books it will always read is a no hitter but I think you know in everybody's mind outside of the Mets fans' minds wanna block about the gonna say. Kinda throws the seasonal out of whack I mean there was still so many emotions you could see with with Terry Collins that he was going through last night. In just. Is on the defensive this week. After comments he made. For. Saying that assistant coaches are hired based on how attractive. Their wives are -- at their experience here's what he said on 1045 FM the zone in Nashville this last Wednesday during an interview. They asked about assistant coach -- and he said -- his wife. She looks the part that she's a he went out and obviously apologize after he created the storm. -- there's a very strong correlation between having the confidence. In going up to a woman in the quick on your feet having some purse personality competent to being articulate. That is wet walking into -- high school and recruiting a kid and selling them he said by the way when an apology that was an apology. But he -- want to apologize and say you know chuck is what is about to get me out okay that's all well again we know that he should know what there. But I tell -- this. I don't think it's a lot to -- You win three games in your division. Out of the six. Whether that's sweeping Miami and then only going one in. Three against the jets and patriots Aureus split against every team what ever think three wins is not a lot to ask of the division. You should went three game division if you don't you don't deserve to make the playoffs most likely. That's three right there. You've got to beat the teams that you're clearly better than Cleveland Saint Louis and you got to beat them. That's that's and three more wins that's six total. That all I'm asking is out of the three home games. At the Ralph. Tennessee Kansas City Jacksonville out of those three just went to -- Because you never gonna win all three get your always gonna lose the game you think you should win or your favorite and things happen team -- and they run the ball well whatever. Just going to those three Kansas city Tennessee. Jacksonville. They got three division. Cleveland and Saint Louis makes 62 out of those 378 -- -- organs folks to get two wins.
