But that they'll have a little of the green flag and -- fans complaining about too much green flag racing. Why because the cars were pressing each other all race long under green flag to look at each other sometimes lap after lap after lap. Now in -- we get complaints that. There's been too many races this year and there's Carroll has been long stretches of green and nothing has happened and they were clamoring for caution flags. Well they have long green flag racing in the long stretches as long as you have racing as long -- you -- pressing. When you don't that's when you have problems like what they're struggling through. Yet definitely and a lot of it's the aerodynamics mean they had the new Italy -- that a couple minutes ago the new DW twelve to our chassis. Made -- so these guys can do those sling shot -- is like we saw. And if it's it's the exact opposite of how things are NASCAR right now where the -- targets in the -- clean air. And nobody can shakes and now because he has such an advantage to matter who it is the -- clean air to seems to have a decided advantage over the guys behind him. You know that's correct and this -- all of our. You know early on when they were testing EW twelve confident Chancy at Indianapolis. At first in the first there are obviously if the work -- result that you have teething problems but the cars -- not really culpable they are. In the early test you so below everybody went back to did their homework to. To skeptics were opponent. But by and large they got it right they went directly to the research and it'll along works but a lot of money they corrected the problem was -- evidence of that was last Sunday's race. And even in testing they were afraid that the that you -- the qualifying speeds were going to be doubt and of necessity with the new engine packages two from Chevy and Honda but. They were they were afraid the pole speed was can be down big time they were down in the 215 the -- qualifying day. They were up in the -- 24 to 25 so obviously. The engineers and both the the engine side which Chevy and Honda and Lotus combined with the folks to why are they certainly as he said did their homework. One of one astounding fact from my sunny spring -- talk about the big green flag racing aryan. John -- bits of ESP and act captured this photo it's kind of a position tracker. And freaky went from thirtieth on lap fifteen and I think that might have been around the tide. And he went from thirtieth -- lap fifteen and sixty green flag laps went from thirtieth -- second. I don't think a cup cars do when that sixty green flag laps make an -- 28 spots. No but the only way you can possibly do them a couple of weeks would be particularly -- one of the restrictor plate track you have -- -- the 43 hours all in one big bunch. You can go maybe from the back of the front quickly. In the NASCAR racing -- at Talladega or Daytona because of the nature restrictor plate racing. And of course the possible from first back to thirtieth very quickly and restrictor plate racing in NASCAR but. That was at the plate tracks you're right that you wouldn't see that right now and -- And fortunately. In IndyCar needs that to figure out -- to get more roll back on the circular because. As I said at the open the show today either racing Detroit -- Lyle and will be a street course it and you won't see you'll see a whole lot of passing and in today's race and it's interesting the amount of all -- that fell off the IndyCar schedule last couple years. But it be hard for them to I don't know after after what happened last year at Las Vegas that Dan Wheldon. I it might be hard to find a few new -- -- to take the series to laugh at with the the fear of what might happen again. Well couple things about that from what you're not gonna see depressing around the street courses like this so that's within the I'm -- of this year at Saint Petersburg Long Beach. At the natural -- cores that are over there actually has been some more passing than has been in the past so there's some extent the W twelve -- Has kept the passing up a little bit on the street and road courses so that their favorite but of course nowhere near as much as Indianapolis. Now next year there was rumors and was -- out there that. Randy Bernard the CEO of IndyCar. Is in negotiations. And those looking to bring IndyCar respect what you might -- a little bit that's all ovals were a little bit less so the of the McCarthy -- also trying to get -- -- back to Richmond. And back to Phoenix. And those tracks. Well course which is essentially the shorts that you and Felix is about a mile trek are subtle. Those may be able to produce good oval track racing but not the is that what we saw last October -- Vegas. And of course very interestingly enough to the other -- going to with a -- sort of believe -- Texas Motor Speedway next they'll attract a we want to -- that's -- One of those big. And then now music via this series only got unified they have a strong leader who's making a big difference in this series. You know if politics -- the momentum again that'll be one of the most shameful story is not only a motor sports but in all of sports. Yeah it is itchy bite. I like the personalities in the series that mean that they don't get the attention it and sometimes lacking for sponsors but. Some of that the folks that are in the series the teams hinge cliff as the top -- close the Tony cannot non -- castroneves. You know mark going to rate this in great personalities in that series at almost. Are are better than some of the current personalities in the cup series and and makes it very intriguing to watch. It is and I mean and right now they got a great mix of things going on in this series I mean yeah we have the giants here. You're gonna have to -- and Europe as he's and so on but last week for a long time it happened it was morning quality Indianapolis for example in -- has been published. Sometimes the best ways to make some changes in the sport is to bring in an outsider that's what -- but Bernard has done. For whatever the reasons it's not worked out this season Jeff Gordon for a variety of reasons but yeah. Is that Hendrick motor sports you know. They go through obstacles would sound like anybody else does. There's a Richard shores of the up and down the last couple years as a natural thing. But at the motor sports originally come on strong the last few weeks. And also -- interesting enough I think one of the more what you wanna call it surprising that may be to a lot of people but one of the bigger stories I don't know what the true that this season. There's also been the very competitive nature of Michael Waltrip racing. And of course they have the poll today. They've hit several good runs throughout this -- what Clint Boyer and in -- and Brent because have a good one formally when he was in the -- it was -- Martinsville. So. -- actually going look at tomato. To be very interesting this is a veteran Mark Martin. And that Michael Waltrip racing can take this and driven to a victory. Yet the only thing they've really been missing this year is a trip to Victory Lane you know Martin Truex six than points they've all performed very well we've talked about them a lot this season. But about two or three years ago that our people what Michael Waltrip racing be in the position they are today is really now becoming one of the more elite. Members of the ownership groups -- as cars and trucks except people would probably say probably not that's reserved for Joseph Gibbs Hendricks Childress -- and so on but.
