That the lease deal is imminent it's gonna be announced that supposedly in seven at ten days graduation and will be eight to ten year deal your comments. You know our -- we've been working hard with the county in the state you know over last month -- -- and like I've said we've had productive discussions are not an imminent at all. -- other than the fact that we continue to. You know very productive discussion with all parties and so we're working hard towards. Get into a resolution that we all want and that's to ensure the future of the franchise release agreement. Here Ralph Wilson Stadium so. It's. I would just was made aware of this report and it's news to me. Would you say that there has been progress though definite progress yeah I think Jeremy there has been progress because we've been talking and those discussions have been productive -- -- All the parties at the table -- discussing the nuances of the the future penalties and you know I think the -- is definitely Governor Cuomo one. Bob Duffy and his team definitely. What their best foot forward along with the county executive toy cars and his staff so. It's been. Over the last month we've had the opportunity get together and you know we look forward to that future. I understand is the portion of the interview we asked the same question five times trying to comma we're looking for yourself OK call I told -- -- attempt number three that. No I mean a cup and all month or so go Russ it wasn't as optimistic. You know -- it there were reports that. All three parties couldn't get to the table for scheduling or whatever reason there was some suggestion that maybe it'd be you have to be a one year deal. And also other stuff. Are you at the very least can you say they're optimistic that this is headed -- the consummation of a multiple here. Lease deal and and and something that will secure the team here. I'm optimistic there were all on the same page and we've had an opportunity to match our schedules and and have those good discussions. You know hopefully that leads to visit the long term. Viability of the franchise -- with a with a long term race. That's the goal and that has been the Golan and hopefully -- get there. -- and you're not optimistic that a deal is going to get done either and I mean I'm. I'm not trying to put words in your mouth you're not optimistic that a deal get done at this point you would wanna go that far. I'm optimistic overall the table. With the same goal in mind and so good. Good minds are coming together and hopefully we can we can get to the conclusion we all want our. You figure optimistic -- is on the same page you didn't mean philosophically I assume you just -- that you're all talking. -- world talking and you know everything has been like -- said has been productive so. You know I'm not gonna get into the nuances of you know the discussions as -- negotiations are have been me off from from the beginning that and -- can discuss them through the media. But I think it's very positive that we've -- and what about that one year deal story is that completely not happening. Well I think what they came from Moses we're getting down to the league meeting in October. There was some. Discussion about one year extension at that time. -- based on the fact that you know we were not going to be able to get on the meeting schedule until March. You know everything's on the table right now. But you know like I said you know hopefully. Sometime in the in the future will. Something we can really talk about. When is the next time that you guys can. Asked the league for monies to contribute to this project if indeed the team will do that. Well we're in constant communication with the week. We have league meeting in December we have a league meeting in March. It all depends on how the progression of these discussions. Are going to sport. Okay the I don't think we've got a chance to talk to you since that outer harbor story came out thankfully. You so how the car's gonna get to the stadium at a and we have we have very sir what color all the -- speak and I take a ferry to the stadium. Fortunately I was unable to listen last week so. I'm sure -- had a ball and all that. Nothing to -- nothing. The given new stadium. By the bills completely against the then I mean is are you guys 100%. Renovate the Ralph four is there any was there ever any serious discussion about what about a new facility regardless of the location. Yeah absolutely -- I think if you if you remember back ago when we first talked about -- and -- spoke to you and care about this in the beginning. When we came out with the renovation package and some of our thoughts relative to it we certainly when we sent our populace over a year and a half ago. We penciled out in Newton new facility. We also had penciled out. Our complete retrofit of the building. I. Basically when you looked at those numbers. The difficulty is that there is that most of that cost will come back to the consumer. And we didn't think you -- is advantageous. To our fan base. To put together programs that would include personal seat licenses and and ticket prices that would be two or three acts and you know we where volume businesses we've talked many times. And one the reasons were -- and businesses we have to keep -- price points low. Not only on the consumer front but also on the corporate front. We have over a 140 suites in this building that's it's a high number of suites to move. And it in a market was zero fortune 500 companies. When we talk realization we're not only talking to our. Consumer and our fan base for also speak into our business climate. Toward business partners so. Again when you're looking in new facilities. Which I understand why people talk about them you're also looking at. A big lift to your partners on both through the fan and and business front. And you know there's another -- -- word -- comes -- also and that's funding you know words the funding of a new facility gonna comment. I'm in new look at retro fits in Kansas City in Green Bay. You're looking at facilities there were 4500 million dollars so in just in just renovation. So that was the reason we went through the entire process. And that was the reason that our renovation package is what we're moving forward where they're trying to move forward. When you did talk about potential new facilities or pencil that out did you pencil out locations. Not you know Jeremy -- it didn't really get that far other than what it would be relative to. Building a new stadium. You know one of the things we talked to populace about when they came and was there are two things we didn't wanna talk about -- this building. And number one was the sight lines we feel that we have the best sidelines in the NFL. Any team that comes in here any executive more and in my appears as a first thing they talk about. Is that this is the best -- building in the late and the other thing we really didn't wanna touch was the land you know we have over. 121000 parking spots in detail getting as a big part of our culture here. It's an all they experiences -- is everyone out there knows. And that was another thing we talked populist those are really the two hallmarks. Of what Ralph Wilson Stadium about -- government are said this to you guys a year ago we we wanna be in continue to be the Fenway of the NFL. You know obviously it look at colleges look at Michigan look at -- look at -- you know again Fenway they've. The game has changed on the business front we've changed where that we've been very successful doing it. We've been serial renovate source. And that's what we're looking to continue to do because everyone wins. And were able to keep our price points in line. And were able to provide new amenities for families Russ Britt and Willis here on WGR -- if you get the renovations if this plan goes through as you have it now on paper and you get the renovations how Long Will you be able to extend the life of Ralph Wilson Stadium at this point. Well you know Howard that the bones of this facility and in some of the starters that we don't do our very good. This this facility can it's definitely stand the test of time. There's no reason that it should it. You know obviously. We've done. Could you very good job over the years our operations people -- and in concert with accounting. Upkeep in this building. Very strong on that front and as long as the bones and structure this stadium. Are solid for years to come there's no reason why the stadium camp lurch. With regard to long term viability -- are a lot of people will obviously look to. Los Angeles as a as a thing and -- -- -- hair on end the commissioner is pretty much said as much that the that the league is going to be there at some point so. We have kind of hypothesized on this issue that one of the things that. Would be advantageous would be just to survive the window of LA getting a team because once they do. You know -- well we're so I don't get any any comment at a un and you know in league circles how likely it appears that they -- it ought team at some point. Well -- -- I think you know one would LA out that are and it is the second largest media market as everyone knows. In his sort of a jewel that that -- out there you know. I can honestly tell you nothing and our focus even go back in 1998. When we did the original renovation package everything is focused around from western new York and keeping this team strong and viable here. You know mr. Wilson's commitment. Is -- on wavered you know for over fifty years. And continues to be and you know I can promise you that the only thing that I focus on -- -- team here. Is how can we. Continue to have this team flourish off the field and and be here for generations to come that's. Obviously all of oracle Russ -- weather this year as we talked a lot about the stadium today and obviously you know the future of the team. I guess well I feel captive I get the obligatory Toronto deal update any thing -- -- -- -- Emma and empting out a box of questions here. Nothing new report -- okay. In terms of the team rests Camille Little. Whole -- one bills drive if you would we've been talking a lot about. The Tennessee game and I think that really broke the spirit of a lot of fans that was again that hitting a lot of people figured was a win. You would have been over 500 at the by tied for first in the division tied for third in the conference. Knowing you've got Houston and New England on the backside of the by. Kind of give me an idea give give me a sense of what the attitude is in and around the facility. Yeah I mean obviously -- it was disappointing for everybody and you know once more disappointed than everyone here one bills drive. You know but. You know and in the bye week probably came at a good time you want are going to. The bar we come -- off of off a win obviously. But you know I think everyone came backs were refreshed and renewed and knows that there's a lot of football left and we really have to make some -- now. In these last nine games. But certainly. Where is -- the level of confidence in terms of say upper management and ownership the people above but he Nixon Chan -- where is the level confidence right now with the GM and coach. Well you know I think we are you know they have sort of full support of of everyone here and you know we have two top level football man -- -- an -- and that a -- Successful everywhere they've -- and -- obviously. In third disappointed. You know where we are right now but these guys are grinder and we're just we're just gonna keep fighting and and not take -- -- If you're nobody reports -- mr. Wilson. And you know -- You know and he talks mr. Wilson every day on that front and real world support him as motion recant what. Think the rest of Chris Kelsey is comments last week when he was stocking. The Monday after the Tennessee game and he was talking about you know watching the film and you know you're -- seeing guys that are necessarily going hard every play. Well you know Kelsey been here a long time you know he's a team leader. You know obviously -- What is said he obviously thought were his it was the right thing to do. You know Chris is. Guys that that doesn't speak very often but when he does -- certainly listen. And he's about what were about as an organization that everyone's accountable. And mine are respected what is certain and -- yeah I'm sure you've talked to him about it. But there is certainly -- team leader here for a decade now. Yeah and I I wanted to ask you you know he talked about you know heat. The leaders of the team stepping up the navy you know they need to put more pressure on guys in the room and any also pointed the finger at himself as an F bomb that don't expect challenge them over and and basically tell me to get my head on my you know what so can you beyond Kelsey I guess if this is something that has to be handled by the players internally roster not. Bloody your chant or whoever. How confident are you in the the amount of leaders you have in the team that they can. Do that they can get to the guys who maybe are underperforming and get this thing straightened out. Well how I know -- -- Irish and -- talked about leadership before and I certainly personally feel that their a lot of leaders on this team you know when you get to this level these guys have been leaders at every. Every step of the way. You know last year when we were five in two. After seven games. I remember everyone talked about the leadership we had on this club and because we're three and four right now that's in question. -- -- majority of the same guys in the same captains and in place so I you know I I certainly. You know -- guys is at any level may when -- -- in college or when you're playing in the NFL. Guys have a way of of managing themselves and and in leading the way so I -- between the guys from the guys you mention obviously Fred and and fits and in Stevie. We've got a lot of guys who've put a lot of time in in buffalo and certainly feel that we have what it takes on the leadership -- -- -- as. And ashes when Jeremy Nash about Los Angeles and I forgot but I read a story this week. When Jim and I am pro football talk dot com Mike for aside I don't know if you go there and Segway and thank you very much. -- what when he pension LA there was a story is it about London. And I don't know what -- -- can't say again but but I figured I'd ask because I'm curious and there was talk that you know the league wants to do more than just putting game in London that within the next ten years I believe was the number. There's some people inside the league believe there will be eighteen in London full time do you think you'll see the day will be a team in London what are your thoughts about the NFL putting a team in Europe. I know I think we we may have talked goes right I do think Kim in our in our time there will be a team among them. Obviously the league has. Spent a lot of resources. Playing a game in London as you know there will be now two games in London. Starting next year. And I think. Personally that that will probably see a team in London. In the in the future. They've shorter great zest for the game Wembley is a great facility. That packs and a lot of people. Will see what happens when they go to two games. Next year but certainly think it's an opportunity to on the road to. Do you think like. -- -- that NFL Europe and a test market a lot of places do you think it's beyond London is that one team thing in Europe where with the league like to have a European division in the grand scheme. -- -- commensurate it goes very proactive and in many different ways when it comes to growing the game and in the Brandon and the global aspect of NFL football and I think the success that they've had there will be the main focus movement forward but. You know it's going to be you know -- -- It's Jacksonville that is now going to be playing their over the next three or four years and and then they announced another -- Serbian human they have multiple games multiple teams in the market see how it sustains. But if they continue to have success. It could be a possibility to heck of a road trip. It is a -- for road trip but you know. I've talked to many of the teams have done it in its really not a heck of a lot of from the going to Seattle well I -- like they -- but I mean depends where you are like yeah right like New England. Played Seattle couple weeks ago. And it was like a six and a half hour plane trip or 615 some like that and then they went to London it was almost the exact same of that time for them but if you're not on the eastern seaboard and you're going to London right you know if you're saint Lewis go to London that's a little bit of a job that's risk. -- lawmakers need to help you out a little bit I know when we played San Diego -- your few years ago we played them here at home. And then they went and played in London a volatile week -- and that was all sort of fire contrived by the league so. I mean there's ways to make it work and then you just hope for really good talent.
